Can you give me a list of kernels for CM7? Thanks!
I must flash ICS rom build 10!
Hello,
I'm running CM10 (nightlies)
I would like to know if it is possible to install/flash Google apps 4.2 on a JB 4.1.2 based machine, when i tried it from the BBQtools it messed up all my rom and apps (even the keyboard started crashing) and i had to flash everything from the beggining...
So if it is possible hwo can i do it without messing it up... ?
b.t.w. i do not want to use JB4.2 on my device because the stability is very importent to me and there is no stable enough version yet.
thanks
Hello, i wondered if there was something i have to do to be able to flash MIUI over CM 10.1 NIGHTLY ?
And waht is the newest verison of MIUI ?
:good:
Just go here. Final version of MIUI by Gerrett... As we only got recent update to 4.1.2. You need to wait for the Official and old one is outdated. There are fully working two versions.

-Rooted the phone with spyrosk’s AIO toolkit
SU313-BIN3032_4GB
-No errors during installation from zip file but still stuck on 4.0.4 and not on the latest nightly build that I want

Thats because you've rooted stock 4.0.4, meaning, you are on the new bootloader. But CM10.1 nightly is only for the old bootloader. So, if you want to use CM10.1, try a new bootloader ROM, like tonyp's CM10.1 or temasek's CM10.1 or avatar rom ported to new bl by sreeprajay. Other CM10.1 based ROMs are PACman, mivv's CM10.1. Make sure you choose the new bootloader build.

Hello everyone After selling my xperia u I got this cellphone which is At&T branded .... I was running gingerDX on my xperia x8 a long time ago then I installed some custom roms on xperia U as well after unlocking it's bootloader and installing custom kernels etc. I sold xperia U as it was a bit slow for me....
Now the question I want to ask is : what are some good roms (without any bugs) fast and stable for this cellphone ? right now I'm on Android 4.1.1 official ... is it good enough if I only root it or should I go for a custom kernel / Rom and what is the easiest method to root it ?
Reagrds...

Arrgh kernel for photon Q LTE works for our phone too, best and only(?) custom kernel we have besides N8 (only for 4.2.2 ROMs). Carbon, CM 10.2, PACman, and HoloBlur are my personal best experiences with this phone.

Carbon 4.3 nighlies by far the best and most stable

As for rooting and unlocking bootloader plus flashing a custom recovery, the Myth Tools program for Atrix HD has all those 3 things wrapped into one easy executable.

ignore this.
Thank Neighbor808 if you provide 2, 3 links for roms and the link to kernel I'll be thankful to you.. as I don't want to risk anything here as I'm new to Motorola world
Generally, look for files under mb886. Anyways, here ya go.
CM: http://get.cm/?device=mb886
Carbon: http://goo.im/devs/carbon/mb886/nightly
PACman: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2398627
HoloBlur (Stock based): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356624
Argh Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31708952
Make sure you get CM 10.2 kernel for non stock based. Don't flash the kernel of the date of your nighty is later than the kernel (Oct 2 so far). It gets updated regularly.

I can't figure out which kernel to download ASA / FFW ? I've downloaded Oct 2 version of carbon ROM, any thread with it's screenshots and features etc ?
Please also tell in which sequence I should do the procedure ? like : root > recovery > Unlock Bootloader > kernel and then rom ?
Root, unlock bootloader, recovery, backup current rom, wipe data and system, flash rom then kernel.

Deeje is spot on. As for which kernel to download, Post #2 contains the kernels for STOCK or Stock-based ROMs. All of the ROMs I linked to you are CM-Based except for HoloBlur, which is stock based (but it already comes with Arrgggh kernel so don't worry about that). The thread clearly states:
ASA-36 (Original 4.0.4 ICS firmware)
ASA-14 (Final 4.0.4 ICS firmware)
FFW-5 (Latest 4.1.2 JB firmware)
Pretty much the only stock kernel you're ever going to need unless you fastboot flash back to ICS is FFW-5.
Post #5 contains the kernels for CM-Based ROMs (Pretty much all the ROMs out there that aren't stock based). The CM 10.1 Kernel is for Android Version 4.2.2 ROMs, while the CM 10.2 kernel is for Android Version 4.3 ROMs. If you are flashing Carbon October 2 nightly, that is Android 4.3, so you will flash the CM 10.2 edition.
Here's links for the standalone posts to make sure you know where you're going...

By the way, check Atrix HD Development section, has all of our ROMs + screenshots and explains features.
Thanks alot homie this explains everything now tell me some good features of Carbon / Pacman Roms so I consider flashing ?
Carbon is basically CyanogenMod with some great Paranoid Android features added in (like Halo, PIE, navbar customization, etc.) . Smooth, reliable, great battery. PACman is a combination of 3 popular ROMs (Paranoid Android, AOKP, CyanogenMod) and has pretty much every feature you can think of. Highly customizable, but has a few minor bugs and slightly worse battery. Carbon is more stable but not by a whole lot.

Yes, you can. Just take latest kernel currently - Oct 23 2013 CM10.2 and latest Carbon rom from here (*Currently there are some problems on goo.im*) or here.
Kernel and rom date should be close as possible to avoid problems.
If there will be newer kernel then it might not work if rom is older than kernel but even then if there are any problem you can just re-flash earlier kernel. Although you don't really have to mess with kernel at first. Carbon actually come with a working kernel (latest build have mattmanwrx kernel) but it doesn't support overclocking/undervolting.
Ohh, and don't forget to flash gapps if you need them..
Thanks mate... for me most stable versions of kernel and roms are : 7 oct 2013..... I don't want to change them untill something really big comes out....I don't like overclocking as ATRIX HD is fast enough already with or even without pureperformance mod but I see battery improvements via that mod or maybe that's "Greenify" app that I'm using...
