it is because of ripple effect. You can disable it in settings>lock screen. And you will have normal lockscreen (not washed out)

Tried that but it still seems more washed than the colors in gallery...

hmm, then I dont know. But I know that with ripple effect turned on, the lockscreen is washed out. For example, I use pure black wallpaper and it looks like you said, so I just turned it off, and the black is black (not greyed/washed out)...

[Q] display quality

as this is my first oled screen phone i really wonder about one thing:
if it's dark and the brightnes is set to min i see quite some vertical stripes (brighter and darker vertical lines going from the top to the bottom of the screen) is that normal to oled screens? or did i just get a phone with a bad screen?

Do you see it on white backgrounds or any colored background? I think it is because the display is PenTile we are bound to get some weird banding

i see it really strong if there is a gray area (like for example the chrome background when it starts). if the displayed image has more texture its hard to notice but also there.
It sounds normal to me. I discovered the same with my first pentile-matrix screen. It is quite ugly to me. If I glance at a TFT LCD screen it looks so much cleaner and beautiful.

Gray gradient on the homescreen

I noticed this gray gradient on the homescreen and recents with a black wallpaper and it's just really awkward to look at once you notice it. It becomes REALLY apparent if I increased to brightness. Is this just something tied with the System UI? Changing the launcher doesn't do anything and opening up a black wallpaper doesn't show these gradients. Maybe I'm just nitpicking.
Happened to me as well and figured it is because I have Cf. Lumen installed.
I have the same issue. This is my third S6 Edge with same problem. Tried multiple fixes with no luck. Can't use any dark wallpapers, anyone know how to fix?

dull display

Hey guys
Display looks dull
Like.. White colour looks bit dull in adaptive display mode.. When I give full brightness it's clear.
What's the issue here
Anyway to fix!?
Thanks in advance

Help. Display issues on homescreen. Black fading.

Hi, I have a problem when I set a black wallpaper to my home screen. The top of my home screen is not completely blacked out like the rest of the display. The black is faded at the top.
However, when I look at an all black or dark wallpaper any other place like the gallery the screen is normal and completely blacked out. This faded black only exist when I set the wallpaper on the homescreen. It is also visible on the preview wallpaper screen.
Anyone know how to solve This?
Also noticed when I open the edge panel with a black/dark wallpaper the blur effect is a bit distorted.

Black quick settings

Hi guys, so recently I received my A2, and quicky noticed, that my folders and quick settings were black, as opposed to stock which is white. Any ideas as to how I could fix this and turn it white?

Screenshot?
It depends of what wallpaper you use. A darker wallpaper give you the black quick settings.
