My g1 is acting very weird as it would work fine and all the sudden would just shut down by it self and a blue LED light appear. I can fix this by removing the battery and restart it.
Anyone know what is causing this?
Also i notice that if the phone is charging this never happen....it only happen when the phone is not plug in....could the battery have anything to do with it?
The touch screen is not working properly.
It is as if a ghost was thumbing through the phone. It's like an invisible person is playing with the functions and touch screen. This phantom effect used to occur at varying magnitude off and on. When I restart the phone this phantom effect reduces but most of the time does not completely disappear. The extent and frequency of this phantom effect got progressively worse, from couple of times a week to everyday to almost complete loss of function (current state). Now, the back button does not work no matter what I do. Locking the phone and re-swiping it back on provides minimal relief, but soon after the phone reverts back to its sporadic/random phantom behavior. I never dropped the phone, or caused any kind of damage.
Please help.......
Does this happen only when the phone is plugged in, or also when you have it off the charger? If the former, are you using the stock charger?
I am using a stock charger.... But this occurs while it is on or off the charger.
My milestone does the phantom "jerky" movements only when it's plugged in, it gets worse with another USB wall charger that i bought for something else
Where is the manufacturing location of your milestone, I suspect that this problem may be limited to milestones from a specific region....
I am also facing the same issue, got the touch screen replaced from Motorola Center - still the same. It happens very often while using the stock USB cable, effect is little less when using the stock wall charger.
Am also facing overheating issue with this mobile while making calls and using Internet (GSM/3G/Wifi)
few days ago i was calling, when i finished talking i just wanna hang up the phone but the end button didn't work, i slide down the status bar and tried to hang up from there, it didn't work neither there, i got mad! and pull the battery. when i power it up the touch wasn't working. i changed the ROM > no answer, changed the kernel and radio > no answer, got the RUU ROM on it > no answer, but sometimes when it's fully charged it'll work but when the battery drains or i do not use the screen the problem come back.
and when the touch is not working if the display goes off, it won't wake up again while the phone is on itself.
any ideas?

Seems like power circuit malfunction. Make sure you're using original HTC wallcharger and cable. Also you should definitely cold-boot your phone: pull out the battery, hold the power button for 15-20 seconds OR leave it without battery for an hour (this is to discharge capacitors on the circuit board).
Next, you should try something, but it is optional of course, you should discharge yourself of the static charge. Touch something conductive and grounded.
Then put the battery back on, try to turn on your phone. If the problem still persists, there are two possible reasons: either you killed something with static charge inside your phone or something on the circuit board is malfunctioning due to the use of non-original wallcharger.
It could actually sound lame, but yes, the best charger is the original one, in the meaning of its specifications, quality and a holy spirit. My HTC One X touchscreen goes wild if I connect it to the new Apple wallcharger, even though it has exactly the same specs as the original one.
UPD: and yes, it is possible to kill a touchscreen with a static charge in some cases. Any capacitive touchscreen panel is a thin piece of glass/plastic which contains a matrix of small, almost transparent semi-conductive capacitors. You can clearly see it on the very bright sun. This matrix is a very sensitive piece of electronics and it could get damaged by the static charge.

If there aren't any dead spots, I mean - if your touchscreen performs well in other situations, then it shouldn't be problem caused by the digitizer.
Someone correct me if I am wrong. :highfive:
Please tell me someone else has experienced this.
When using and charging at the same time under Windows 8.1, the touchscreen goes crazy where one touch results in about 5 random touches all over the screen. Only way to stop it is to unplug the charger.
It seems to be something to do with the charging port, if the cable is putting slight pressure on the port in one direction or the other, then it has that effect on the touch calibration... very odd.
Lately with my AT&T Galaxy Note 5, I have been having a problem with the screen occasionally flickering when waking the phone up after the screen is off for an extended period of time. If the screen doesn't turn on, I have to turn the screen on again with the power button.
I wonder, what do you think might be the problem? Am I correct to assume that this is not a battery problem? My phone is almost two years old (I bought it in May 2016).
