Hi guys
Im looking for information regarding the screen mirroring function of our Xperia T (and the eventual Z ).
I want to buy a TV that would support this feature and I want to know what kind of characteristics or specifications in the TV should I be looking for to make sure it is compatible ?!? I can't find nothing on sony's website :S even chatted with their online rep...not sure he understood me since he told me no TV were compatible
Should I be looking only for WIFI? DLNA?
Did search through the forums to no success
thanks in advance,
cheers

hey everyone,
i have been searching for a software which allows to watch famous tv channels via streaming on the wings.
can anyone recommend a software for streaming movies/tv etc?
and yes, i have unlimited dataplan
thanks
You should be able to go to the networks web sites and stream their show's off of their own site. The phone has a built in streaming player, works pretty well. There are some other players people have posted about on here that work just as good if not better.
As to software that allows you access to the programs that I do not think you will find. All other networks that have access to TV do it through their network, so you launch the TV program on the phone and it connects to their server where its all located. Some Verizon phones here have an antenna to pick OTA channels but quality as you can guess is low
Best bet like I said is to either download them and watch them on your phone or to stream them from the network web sites....
Unless someone knows something I do not, which happens all the time...
dude wtf is it with u
dont u know pocketstreamer deluxe??? it has everything u talked about as "non-existent".
HOWEVER, i dont like pocketstreamer as the links are mostly broken and invalid/the list tv streams is very limited. im looking for an alternative....
thanks

My point exactly, its not as good as what you can get from other providers included with your plan, or from just downloading / streaming them off the net for the same low price of your data plan / storage card size
I dont know of anything worth using that could compair to what I mentioned above, if someone know's a good one thats exilent and I would be interested in knowing too.
I do know of zoovision which has some fun old movies to stream and other stuff but thats not the latest stuff.
I think the softwares to watch TV are dead now. Especially because now you can watch TV directly online in some website like http://www.inner-live.com
This one looks nice:

This is a thread about streaming video, there's a few theme threads around this forum, a search for those would yield a good place to ask.
As to your question the iPhones screen is rather large compaird to how small ours is so you wont get many icons on it, and you will have to navigate through them with the D-Pad which you might not like. That said back when this phone first came out a few people were talking about some but never really got them to function properly.
Now you can imitate aspects of the iPhone such as this but that one is just generic.
does it mean that when you install spb dat it will take over everything or is it just a program dat je can run
Try this one Mobile Online TVx.

Hello Guys,
We are trying to build chromecast as pure web let us know what you think. We believe there is no need for hardware. What do you think?

You mean using our notebook for viewing? Go to a website for example: ChromecastTV.com. Then from our smartphone, we cast videos to this website?
But the point is to view on the big screen. So you ultimately need hardware. Because how is the website going to show on the big TV? You will still need to connect a notebook or some sort of android stick on your tv. So doesn't that defeat the idea of no hardware?
Hello Guys.
I´m thinking to buy Chromecast, but i have some dough:good::
for example:
Can i mirrored all my application?
Does Spotify works with sound ?
Dolphin Browser is supported?
What is the major difference for the Samsung Dongle.
Best Regards People.
Thanks for the answer

Mirror all apps?
Generally, not. You can try mirror4cast but it doesn't work on all devices and from the video seems to lag heavily.
Google is working on Android device mirroring (the beta is available if you have a rooted Chromecast), but no guarantee it will be supported on a wide variety of devices - we'll have to wait and see.
Spotify, Dolphin Browser, Samsung Dongle
Only apps which specifically support Chromecast or can Share to a Chromecast-enabled app will work with Chromecast. Chromecast is not a replacement for a HDMI output.
Think of it more like a video output accessory that works for supported apps.
If you want to see everything from your device on your TV, one of the many wireless output dongles like Samsung AllCast Share, will work better for your purpose.
Chromecast is an autonomous device (so its output is not limited to the device's screen resolution, nor does it require another device to remain on, unless content is being sent from the other device).
See links in my signature for more info.

You're welcome. Yes, sounds like it, especially if you have lots of media on your device or you want to play games on the big screen, etc.
Yeap
That's it

So I have a Vizio Co-Star Google TV. and it seems to me that well Google TV is dying. I heard that an update was going to come out for it to add Chromecast. I haven't seen it happen yet. Does anyone know if that is going to happen? Or has anyone found a way to do it on the forum? I have tried searching and I haven't found anything. Hope someone could help me out. Thank you all for even reading this.

Be Patient as there is a slim chance that Google TVs may be upgradable to Android TV at some point. But that won't come out until Android L is officially released I believe.
You may see it in new TVs sooner and in the end the manufacturer of your TV will be the end determining factor on if your unit can be upgraded or not.
Thanks Asphyx.
My Google TV isn't a TV it is a Vizio Co-Star and its like a box that has an HDMI in and out. It has an over lay on my TV that I like so much. thats why I do not like the Chromecast dongle. I would have to change inputs all the time. With the co-star i do not have too. But I seem to be missing out on things like HBO Go and other apps that are no longer getting support. I should say the whole system doesn't seem to be getting much support any more.
Hey friends i want to buy chromecast for xperia sp will it support our device?? Can we use screen mirroring?? Also will i be able to see video on my tv without any lag??

Screen mirroring will work as long as you are using a KitKat ROM and Mirror Enabler installed (needs root). The latest version of the Chromecast is supposed to have experimental screen mirroring for ALL KitKat devices, but I haven't tried this out personally. Performance of the mirroring will depend mostly on your connection speed.
Personally, I hardly ever use the screen mirroring, it just feels clunky. It's much better if the app you're using supports Chromecast.

Sorry for the late reply. I personally haven't tried it, but you should be able to send your videos to Chromecast using AllCast - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.cast&hl=en
