Hi, as the topic says.
i use cm10 and have edited the bootanimation.zip in system/media
with no permissions the original bootscreen appeared, as a second try i set permissions to read for all.
now the boot process was as follows:
samsung s logo (as normal)
cyanogenmod logo (as normal)
about 0,1s black screen
again the cm logo for about 3-5 seconds
after that:
black screen
after a short period, like the normal boot process takes time, the unlock screen seems to be active.
the feedback by touching the unlock-button area is recognizable and after i slide from mid to right i can also hear clicking buttons, yes normally there is the pin input screen...
even when i push the power button, the "old tv-out" effect appears
but before and after it: black screen...
short:
black bootanimation, black screen after boot...
but fully functionable, if you can handle this phone sightlessly
hope you can help me
Update:
flashed cm10 again over the existing installation.
now bootloop
....
if you have backup of orignal bootanimation.zip just put it back to its orignal place..that shuld work just fine.....
for bootloops before flashing just wipe data and cache in recovery....that should help......
how can one access the root dir in this situation?

Hi,
I installed CM9 following the instructions here

and here

and here

Everything went well, so I installed all my apps, transferred my files and setup all my accounts, customized my settings. After all was done, I locked the screen with a pattern, and it wouldn't turn back on! Finally, I shut it down and turned it back on, now it's stuck at the CM9 boot animation.
As you may guess, after spending hours and hours of setting everything and apparently loosing it all, I am very frustrated
So, my questions:
1- Is it possible to recover it from this boot animation and rescue my hours of work?
2- Is this a known bug, and I should not have setup a screen pattern lock screen?
3- Is SCH-I800 an officially supported device, or not? Since it was in the list of devices in the devices overview link above, I thought so, but I cannot find a forum here for it.
Update:
I went into the Boot recovery, and reset the cache. After that, it passed the CM9 animation, and said "Upgrading (or updating) the OS, then said "Optimizing applications" and went through a count, but then says "Loading Startup Files (or something simlar)", and gets stuck there.
Any suggestions to recover it?
Thanks.
charging and image animation damaged leaves home and access the recovery menu
Hello community XDA good as you will see I am new to this and my problem is this, a few weeks ago I decided to rooting my terminal and already entered the theme install xposed framework to have transparent bars and that but it was not enough and I was sick of my version of android so I decided to flash a ROM to be precise cyanogenmod and everything was going great until I put my phone to charge off as download everything (ROM, recovery team win and Oddin) maclaw the page, the animation battery charge to be off the terminal, was an ugly and creepy panda, so I wanted it to change and I found the way the same page maclaw, flashing animation stock in the terminal but something happened that did not want the screen Start where Slll says Galaxy mini came out only blank screen and then the start of CM and the loading animation just came out blank, but that's not the real problem, wanting to start the recovery again to fix the screen goes blank and start the terminal, do not let me get into the recovery menu and not in that way put normal animation or reset everything as before, somehow grateful
Really need it, thanks in advance! excuse the translation use google translator :crying:
Ok so i was changing my boot animation for my phone and i found one but it was too small for my phone. So i tried to change it through the app (boot animation). It failed and kept resetting to the default size. So i changed it manually through root explorer. I rebooted my phone and the screen went black, nothing. The system seemed to be find, me being able to still hold the power button to vibrate the phone and switch it off eventually.
So i decided to boot my phone into recovery (clockworkmod) and i hadnt made a back up already so i made one just then. It failed (i have really bad luck or something ) but the boot animation backup worked so i restored it and rebooted my phone. It stayed black but the samsung stock sound played. Im stuck now.
Any help would be apreciated.
I have s3 mini clockwork mod.

Jmmys samsung qmg boot fix
Hey guys,
I was using my phone today and decided to turn it off. I am currently on 5.1 and I am rooted on stock. When I turned it back on, I was kind of stuck on a boot loop but I can usually bypass this by holding down the power button until I feel a quick vibrate and then my phone starts doing the "Optimizing Apps...". However, it didn't do that this time so I decided to reboot my phone into recovery, wipe the cache and dalvik and restart. Again, stuck on the boot animation screen. So I just let it run its course and then all of a sudden I see my phone go to the home screen but my launcher is reset and I am running out of cache space. I decide to connect my phone to my computer and backup some files. As I backup the last of my DCIM folder, my phone reboots and all of a sudden I have the new Motorola boot animation with the stitching I guess. But then I'm stuck at the bootloop again.
Anyone else experience this or know how I can fix this? I reaaallly don't want to factory reset.
I recently did a reset via settings on a gen 1. No change in boot animation. I then did a reset via stock recovery and got the new animation. I then did another reset via settings and during the first boot it had the old animation but subsequent boots have the new animation.
Hi everyone.
I've android 6 stock (xt1068), and today i woke up and it doesn't work
I try to install the twrp and then to flash rom, ecc, but after that i install the twrp succesfully, when i go in the recovery i see that there is no twrp but the main stock recovery. This thing basically appens with everything that i install/wipe, infact the bootloader tells me that my action worked, but it didn't.
Another thing is that if i let my phone boot up, after the boot animation it tells me 'Starting Android', then this text go out, and for a second the boot animation appears again, after that all the screen goes black. (The phone is not closed, but it is showing black in the screen, i think you got it)
Thank you
