Try to flash kernel with CWM, ThunderZap. Then try to install Supressed ROM in CWM. See what happends.
You need ADB for installing kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=879701
ADB shell should work when you get to that screen of Wizzard. You are in system then.
P.S. In cwm wipe: system, cache, dalvik cache, and do factory reset before instaling Supressed ROM.

No. Do one time. Root it, install kernel with CWM. Then backup that stock with custom kernel. Then you will have backup of that. And you can restore whenever you want.

There are explanations for this problem. Try some custom ROM, if you do not want it flash stock after that.

You will lose applications and don't forget to wipe cache/dalvik if you face any problem in you phone after installing GB rom by going it in recovery.

i've been having this problem since i switch to ics.
when i try to revert back to abyss4.2 so i can try to install other ics rom, i get stucked.
what works is i try to restore my GB nandroid backup, then it reboots and hangs, i switch it off, then boot at recovery and walah!
im back to my GB cwm, then i can install abyss4.2 and proceed with ICS rom flash.
that's how i always do it, i hope someone can advise a better way..http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

Facin the same issue as you. Currently the only sollution i could find is flash Omar's rom over Pi-Llama. With this way you won't have bootloops.

After flashing I do a System/Cache/data/SDCard wipe and reboot. Then I enter Fastboot, connect USB to the phone, open ADB and flash Pi-Llama's system.ext4 and boot.img using a command which I forgot. I reboot again, wait for the system loads everything, reboot to CWM and finally flash Omar's over it.
The pre-install with Pi-llama 1.4 works also for 1.5, but as soon as i wipe data i have bootloop.
We need a "system.img.ext4" like on Pi-llama, than we can use the 1.4 script for install - i think this should work.

yeah would help some developers don't really show clear instructions on how to flash unless they too have know idea lol :') i remember the good olds days where all you needed to wipe was cache :') i miss them days
Asked for an ext4 system image in Omars thread, maybe someone can help.
Maybe its something to do with SD card tries everything possible just doesn't seem to work and developers won't do a clean flash on their own phones to check the problem

Ah okay. I would then flash a custom recovery. You can access the bootloader correct? What method did you use to install the rom? Clean flash or wipe is when you erase all the phone's system files, leaving a blank slate for a new rom to be installed on, and should be done before installing a brand new rom to avoid any issues.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568662
This is the link to the recovery image I used, it's the latest clockwordmod touch recovery. Very easy to flash as long as you have fast boot setup correctly. Once you have a working recovery you should be able to try a re-flash.

Was the recovery still stock or was a custom one flashed? Which process did you follow to root the phone? Since you can't access the recovery at the moment is suggesting it is stock. A failed rom install shouldn't corrupt recovery

I'm not sure, since you have tried to flash another rom, a factory reset might not solve the issue. Trying shouldn't brick the phone but I can't say for sure, sorry!

Could you send me a link to the rom you flashed? Try downloading a different rom. As you can't boot a ROM your only option may be to use ADB to push a new ROM onto your phone's storage.

It may have been a bad download. There isn't really any reason for it to not work, although it does say on the page it "You need TRWP 2.6.3.3 custom recovery!"
Not to worry, you can flash it in no-time. Ok so just as before, just flash a new recovery (again) and use the latest image from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7/
This should allow you to install the rom as the developers intend. It is strange though, i've never encountered a rom where a specific recovery was needed.

It keeps freezed 5 minutes on the kernel logo and then, automatically it shutdowns. If I try to power it on happens the same.
How often do you keep changing ROMs?
At least it boots upto the kernel right? That's awesome, because the last time, mine wouldn't go beyond the Samsung logo. Just let me know if the next time this happens, it atleast boots to Recovery mode.
Good Luck! Hit Thanks if I'm helpful!
Could be a conflict of init.d files, i always delete my init.d files before flashing another rom.

yeah sorry forgot to ask you, anyway if you have a custom rom installed then most roms have init.d and a custom recovery already, you could even boot into recovery and also wipe system before flashing custom rom (which will wipe init.d folder) but make sure you have a nandroid backup first just in case.

If you're able to boot into recovery mode, why do you fret? Just boot into recovery mode and flash the file once again. At times, when you flash a new ROM, it first only flashes the kernel (Don't know why) and then you have the ability to boot to system.

N7000 stuck at boot screen

This phone was not rooted prior to being stuck at the boot screen. Actually, it wasn't event stuck at the boot screen. Instead, it turned on and off. I installed PhilZ recovery and was able to backup all files. Then I tried to flash different versions of CM without success. They all get stuck at the boot screen now. No more turning on and off. I also tried to clear cache, wipe dalvik something and reset to factory. Is there something else that can be done? What would be the most likely cause for the failure?

Put the devices in download mode (Press volume Up + home + power) and install a stock firmware

If you want to install a custom rom type CM11, CM12 or CM13 you have to install a kernel compatible with recovery
Install PhilZ recovery, then from recovery install a compatible kernel
Kernel CM11
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347829437
Kernel CM12
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=16862
After flashing the kernel do a
Data factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik/ART
Install ROM, install gapps
If it does not work
Data factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik/ART
Format system
Format cache
Format data
Install ROM, install gapps

I did everything you said. Unfortunately, my device is still stuck at the boot screen. There were no error messages while flashing the roms and no other unusual events.

This is really strange, try to redo the procedure without installing SuperSU

Where does it say to install SuperSU? How would that be possible when Android is not booting.

I'm sorry but it's really strange, never had installation issues with any version of this rom
Have you tried this kernel to install the rom?

Alternatively, Odin a stock rom and look for a philz.zip with compatible baseband. You can enter stock recovery and then flash the philz.zip via update option. This is essentially replacing stock recovery with the custom version. I did this on a naturally occurring bootloop phone and it seems to work, this method also bypasses the yellow triangle warning on boot.
From there, if you want to use other custom roms just remember to wipe /data and /system before installing the kernel, followed by rom itself after a reboot to recovery.

I tried that. I went to samsung-updates.com and downloaded a version that I believe is compatible with my baseband version. Is there any way to check what baseband version my phone has? Then I flashed with odin and was stuck in a bootloop. I then flashed PhilZ recovery and the boot hangs at the samsung logo.

Doh! sorry not reading what's in front of me. I did once read that you can get phone number via ADB, maybe the same will work for baseband?

This phone was not rooted prior to being stuck at the boot screen. Actually, it wasn't event stuck at the boot screen. Instead, it turned on and off. I installed PhilZ recovery and was able to backup all files. Then I tried to flash different versions of CM without success. They all get stuck at the boot screen now. No more turning on and off. I also tried to clear cache, wipe dalvik something and reset to factory. Is there something else that can be done? What would be the most likely cause for the failure?

Have you tried a clean install ? Wiping /system and /data partitions then installing a custom ROM .. This option can be found in philz under install a new ROM ..

Yes, I tried that. I also tried installing a ROM with a custom kernel that works on my other N7000, but it is still stuck at the boot screen.
