Hi! When I change to another ROM and I wipe data, my SGS+ boots fine but, when I reboot it, ALWAYS get stuck on kernel logo... What can I do? When it happens I always flash with Odin but I don't want to do that every time I want to change the ROM

It keeps freezed 5 minutes on the kernel logo and then, automatically it shutdowns. If I try to power it on happens the same.
How often do you keep changing ROMs?
At least it boots upto the kernel right? That's awesome, because the last time, mine wouldn't go beyond the Samsung logo. Just let me know if the next time this happens, it atleast boots to Recovery mode.
Good Luck! Hit Thanks if I'm helpful!
Could be a conflict of init.d files, i always delete my init.d files before flashing another rom.

It boots untill "Samsung Galaxy S Plus - cyanogenmod blablabla" but the bootanimation doesn't appear. After 5 minutes it goes off automatically.

Then, if now I want to flash MiUI 4.2.2 and I'm in PAC·ROMS 4.4.2, I must wipe data, dalvik and... how can I wipe the Init.d data?
just use "root explorer" and goto /system/etc/init.d and delete the files that are in there before flashing a custom rom.

That could be a solution. Although, you never told me if you're able to boot into recovery mode!
yeah sorry forgot to ask you, anyway if you have a custom rom installed then most roms have init.d and a custom recovery already, you could even boot into recovery and also wipe system before flashing custom rom (which will wipe init.d folder) but make sure you have a nandroid backup first just in case.

If you're able to boot into recovery mode, why do you fret? Just boot into recovery mode and flash the file once again. At times, when you flash a new ROM, it first only flashes the kernel (Don't know why) and then you have the ability to boot to system.
Hit thanks if I helped!

Try to flash kernel with CWM, ThunderZap. Then try to install Supressed ROM in CWM. See what happends.
You need ADB for installing kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=879701
ADB shell should work when you get to that screen of Wizzard. You are in system then.
P.S. In cwm wipe: system, cache, dalvik cache, and do factory reset before instaling Supressed ROM.

No. Do one time. Root it, install kernel with CWM. Then backup that stock with custom kernel. Then you will have backup of that. And you can restore whenever you want.

i tried it many times, no use.... im pretty sure, that this cwm (6.0.2.8 and 6.0.3.2) are buggy
CWM
Factory reset wipe
Mount and format system
Format sdcard
Mount system again
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash ROM
Flash gapps
The problem isn't cwm(flash it again and see)
I only had a problem upgrading to 6.0.3.2
The only differences I've seen are the cwm startup and background and it takes about 1 or 2 secs longer to format system but it works flawlessly nonetheless...

Did you try loading the Motorola USB drivers? Not sure if that would help.
I immediately rooted, unlocked the bootloader, and flashed CWM 6.0.2.8 as soon as I got my new AHD and haven't had any problems with CWM in terms of flashing various roms, backing up roms, and restoring roms.
BTW, I have looked around and I could not find a method to re-lock the bootloader. How did you try to re-lock?
You can't re lock it.

Could be a bug or a one-time thing, it stopped when doing wipe data/factory reset, rebooted and it seems it did it anyways, but wanted to flash a rom xD. TWRP one is working perfectly tough, even with format system
Went to format cache and it seem cwm has just frozen, any ideas on how to reboot?
Volume down + power got it to reboot, but now stuck in bootloop
CWM corrupted the cache I think but fixed it via fastboop

Still problems with wiping cache. On the recoveries boot it says "Warning: No file_contexts". Stuck on formatting /cache.
It finishes formatting the cache but doesn't give an update to tell us it's complete.

U can use both recovery's to install omars rom. The problem about the long cache wiping is different for each person. Some don't have any problem at all and some do have problems with it. Sometimes it takes a couple of minutes sometimes it wipes in 3 seconds. I dunno why it happens, but when android 4.4 is out with the new kernel i will definitely have another look into it.
So, once again, i am having problems with my phone.
Now its stuck on the booting screen, i and i can only access the Clockworkmod recovery, i dont have USB Debugging enabled, and my phone is not getting regoniced on any of my PC´s.

This phone was not rooted prior to being stuck at the boot screen. Actually, it wasn't event stuck at the boot screen. Instead, it turned on and off. I installed PhilZ recovery and was able to backup all files. Then I tried to flash different versions of CM without success. They all get stuck at the boot screen now. No more turning on and off. I also tried to clear cache, wipe dalvik something and reset to factory. Is there something else that can be done? What would be the most likely cause for the failure?

I'm sorry but it's really strange, never had installation issues with any version of this rom
Have you tried this kernel to install the rom?

Alternatively, Odin a stock rom and look for a philz.zip with compatible baseband. You can enter stock recovery and then flash the philz.zip via update option. This is essentially replacing stock recovery with the custom version. I did this on a naturally occurring bootloop phone and it seems to work, this method also bypasses the yellow triangle warning on boot.
From there, if you want to use other custom roms just remember to wipe /data and /system before installing the kernel, followed by rom itself after a reboot to recovery.

I tried that. I went to samsung-updates.com and downloaded a version that I believe is compatible with my baseband version. Is there any way to check what baseband version my phone has? Then I flashed with odin and was stuck in a bootloop. I then flashed PhilZ recovery and the boot hangs at the samsung logo.

Doh! sorry not reading what's in front of me. I did once read that you can get phone number via ADB, maybe the same will work for baseband?

This phone was not rooted prior to being stuck at the boot screen. Actually, it wasn't event stuck at the boot screen. Instead, it turned on and off. I installed PhilZ recovery and was able to backup all files. Then I tried to flash different versions of CM without success. They all get stuck at the boot screen now. No more turning on and off. I also tried to clear cache, wipe dalvik something and reset to factory. Is there something else that can be done? What would be the most likely cause for the failure?

Have you tried a clean install ? Wiping /system and /data partitions then installing a custom ROM .. This option can be found in philz under install a new ROM ..

Yes, I tried that. I also tried installing a ROM with a custom kernel that works on my other N7000, but it is still stuck at the boot screen.
