[Q] Rogers ICS ROM - "battery use" screen not showing everything - known bug?
My "battery use" screen never shows any apps, except occasionally it shows Ingress. Otherwise it's just screen, Wi-Fi, cell standby and phone idle.
Is this a known bug in the Rogers ICS ROM? It seems to work fine in Wajee's De-Sensed and CM10.

[Q] Going to sleep problems on MIUI rom (maybe GOT 2.2.1 kernel?)

Don't know if it's a known problem, I'm with Miui milestine since 19.11 ver.
at first have a battery issue, had a little research and find out how to check if phone sleeps when locked. from then and on, I noticed phone sometimes won't go to sleep (after discconecting from charger, after playing with 3g, WIFI, GPS on/off)
soultion from me right now is playing with 3g, WIFI, GPS on/off,
when phones goes to sleeps battery is good, but I had enough turning 3g off check battery stats. lock the phone, open it, check again etc..
Does anyone know about the problem?
Soultion?
I'm running currently MIUI 31.12 on GOT 2.2.1 kernel (ITALY_WIND)
On these unofficial ROMs, batt life is always an issue. I'm using GOT 2.2.1 and have to turn off data and wifi if I want my charge to last over 24 hrs.

So I'm guessing its unofficial rom problem?
Hoping for official rom soon...

GB Black Screen Of Death & No Signal

Just wondering if anyone else suffers from this, it's the MCR rom and the Thantos Rom where I have the problems the Kings Rom (GB) is fine, but what bugs me is that I never had the BSOD on Froyo 2.2.
Also I somtimes have loss of signal, im on the 725 and it seems to be when waking the phone up from sleep I have no signal or the signal bars are white instead of green, also data is affected and says no connection
Could someone explain what the differences are from the two colours the wifi and network bars show (white and green)

Green is connected to google services, so white usually indicates connectivity wasn't there until it becomes green again.
Ok so my BSOD has also carried on to CM7, don't know what's happening, going to go back to stock 2.2 see if that helps, wonder if its hardware related???
Edit
Removed Go Launcher to see if this helps

I have also never had a bsod before this week. I've had several in the last two days.
Rom: Thanatos v4.2, kernel: HP RC9 (with pp6)
I changed kernel to HP sr1 yesterday and so far no bsod. We'll see how it goes...
I'm on cm7 and had a couple BSOD's, also while writing this I got loss of signal, I changed to vork kernel but didn't help, also removing Go Launcher didn't help, these phones are well ****ed up, my next one will either be HTC or Samsung, LG are ****e

I never had charging bsods for months using CM7. I had Juice Defender configured to turn off wifi and mobile data at night, and I charged the phone every night. A couple of days ago I decided to test how much would it drain the battery if I let the phone be constantly connected to wifi (disabled JD). When wifi was turned on, I got charging bsod every time I charged my phone. I just tried to charge the phone with JD off, wifi off, mobile data off and sync off -> no bsod. Might be a coincidence though, but I strongly believe my couple earlier "in-use" bsods were also caused by wifi turning off or on. Will test further. And I'm on the latest Temasek's kang (204-7) with the latest "kang" kernel.

[Q] Very high battery drain with DjangoManouche X 1.0 - 30A

Hi there,
I use the DjangoManouche X 1.0 Rom, its very very nice, but I have big and one small problem with it.
First problem: the very high battery drain. If I use my phone in the train, to check my mails and chat (whatsapp) the battery is empty in 2-3 hours. (sync on, gps/wlan etc. off) Same or even worse if I use it with wlan (with sync). If I use it for navigation the car charger is to weak to fight aginst the battery drain :silly:.
So what can I do?
BTW: the battery is slow charging, battery stats wiped and flashing the rom again doesn't helped.
Second Problem: Sometimes, my wlan isn't proper working. The Symbol shows, that it works but I'm off-line. Switching it off and on again helps immediately.
BTW: If I switch wlan off, I must log in me again to my provider. I have this bug since CM9, little strange to have the same bug in a Stock Rom/ stock rom based rom ( I had the bug also in Stock V30A)
I hope your can help my guyz!
though the ICS ROMs are more battery consuming, I dont have the same issue as yours....you seem to have very high battery drain.
I have seen in the thread that disabling the google location services there is a battery saving....personally, I did not see a big difference. try it...nothing wrong if it helps.
I have no issue with wifi or WLAN, so I cant help you in this regard.
Maybe you can try to install the GetRIL app from the playstore which helps you to have a mathcing RIL....it might help.
Maybe this: allow a few recycles to see the battery juice or check any other apps using consumption continuously (BetterBatteryStat)
Hope it helps
Hi,
I will try it with switching off the google location service.
I wont change ril or bb, because the quality is now very good.
so long

[Q] Talk time and phone radio issue

Has anyone had any issues with the 'phone radio' of the 4x. I installed 'gsam battery monitor' after suspecting battery drainage and can confirm 'phone radio' is taking up 60% from the go (even in standby). I've done the research and understand the function but the issue is happening with full five bars of reception, which results in me getting only about 2-3 hours of talk time on a full charge. I have tried it on stock ICS and JB. I've reverted back to ICS. Issue exists on both.
Has anyone any idea or experienced anything similair. I'm not rooted everything is stock. Tried changing the gsm radio from the 4x hidden menu to cmda only etc etc.....

[Q] [HELP] SoD keep bugging me after all my efforts

Hi guys!
I've been experiencing some SoD (Sleep of Death) episodes about 3 weeks ago. I've been searching for a solution ever since.
Specifications:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S i9000;
ROM: currently stock 2.3.4 - I9000XXJWQ
Problem:
-phone keeps shutting down by itself, regardless of what I'm doing. Sometimes, when I reboot, the battery level shows 4-14%. After a second reboot, the battery shows the normal level of 60-70% (the level that was shown when the shut down occur)
-drastic drops on battery levels (screenshot attached - I've been experiencing some more drastic drops than that)
Tried, but no results:
1. I tried other ROMs (6 of them), from JB to KK (Cyanogen McKay SlimBin etc. found on xda) +wipes
2. I tried other battery - still my phone shuts down itself
3. Flash stock kernel and ROM with Odin
4. Battery recalibration didn't work either- I don't know if I made it correct. Read here a post about it and I understand that wiping batterystats.bin dose nothing but clearing the history of the battery consumption. Also, I think that flashing stock ROM took care of wiping that file so no need for calibration (correct me if I'm wrong please). Also, I think trying another battery excluded the possibility of a faulty one.
5. Checked the connection between the phone and the battery. Also I've wrapped the battery in a paper to make sure it didn't move. The phone shutting down even when it stud still on the desk made me think it was not the problem.
6. Wi-Fi setting about sleep: From "Never" to "When screen of"
Q: What do I do next?
