I am pretty new to ROOTing android phone. I wanted to upgrade my HTC incredible S to Jelly bean. I was successfully able to UNLOCK the phone. But in recovery menu, i have installed/flashed the Jelly bean (PACman-v19.3-VIVO-BLINDNDUMB.zip) OS before installing Superuser. Now the mobile is booting only in recovery mode everytime. Please help me on this. Is my phone gone for good?
I guess that you are probably s-on. Do the following steps. Format all partitions except the sd card using the recovery. I hope you installed a custom recovery like Cwm or 4ext after unlocking your bootloader. If you have, then flash the ROM again. Then reboot your phone into the bootloader and fastboot flash the boot.img.

once u have it. run the cmd. select option 4"change partition sizes" select new ICS layout. then when it returns. (unplug re enter apx mode) run again and select option 8 flash new bootloader + recovery.
once done. boot into recovery and flash desired rom.

Hey fellas, i'm desperate cos i've bricked my friend's droid 3 (XT860) while trying to flash cyanogen mod 10.1 to it.
I do not remember which version it was but i'm almost sure it was a 5.2.420 - Android 2.3.5.
I rooted the phone and flashed clockworkmod recovery using Rom Manager, wiped both data and cache, installed cyanogenmod 10.1 and gapps, and wiped data and cache again. After rebooting, the phone was stucked on the 'Dual Core' logo. I can go into recovery but i no longer have clockworkmod installed nor can i try to reinstall the ROM again.
After trying some stock flashing and getting a boot failure error message, im now with this AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure) Screen.
Could anyone please help me? It's my friend phone!
I'm sorry about my english.
Thank you for your time!
You can restore/unbrick it to the stock ROM, which will allow you to start over from a clean slate. I suggest using Safestrap instead of CWM/Rom Manager.

Unhelpful response is unhelpful. Though you have some good info in your signature:
Looks like you want to flash to the first ROM here: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=21
Flashing instruction here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...10GSijVrg/edit?pli=1#bookmark=id.rvj235ud4nkd

Do you have a better idea? Is the XT862 ROM going to brick his already bricked phone? Or give him a chance to boot it, and start with a somewhat working system (even if the radio etc. might not work correctly)... I don't claim to be a smart phone guru, but your response isn't very helpful.

I have seen you mention ROM Manager and Clockwork recovery. Neither of these are compatible with the AT&T Note 3. PM & I will help out.

When i boot up the phone, it says the process system has not running wait or ok, when i push ok or wait. after about 40 seconds the phone just freezes up.
Hello all. I'm having a strange problem. I have a T-Mobile D959. I've flashed back to stock JB and rooted and installed CWM/TWRP about ten times before and I never had this problem. Here's the deal:
I flashed back to Jellybean with the kdz. (I was on Dfuse's Stock Rooted KK) After I flashed back and did a factory reset I then used ioroot25 to root. That went as expected. I then downloaded the Freedom Flex app to install TWRP/CWM. When I flash either Recovery it looks like it's working. Superuser comes up and I hit allow. When I choose reboot into recovery or manually try I get to the fastboot menu and I basically have no recovery. I've tried flashing the Jellybean kdz again as well as the KitKat kdz then went back and flashed the Jellybean kdz again. For some reason neither recovery will install. I am definitely rooted as root checker and Root Explorer confirm that. When I flash either kdz to go back to stock it does indeed install the stock recovery again. Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Thanks for your help.
Not sure but does the kdz. Reflash the aboot

I'm pretty sure it does as I lost recovery completely when I first got the phone when I tried flashing TWRP and flashing the kdz fixed that.
