PM me if you need help

Well... You can post anywhere you like, as long as your posts are relevant and useful. But doing things like asking for device specific support for a different device won't fly in the forums.

Need help with new gb tab kernel

I am wanting to build a new tab kernel for gb. I am a noob but I am pretty good with Linux Cl. I downloaded the source from Samsung site. Is that only for their Roms with touchwiz or could I use it with cm7? Also where should I look for source to add different governors to the kernel? Thanks for any help.

[ROM] HighOnAndroid 420 Jelly Bean ROM! [LH6][Custom Boot Animation][Init.d Support]

Hey guys,
Just wanted to share something I was working on.
The HighOnAndroid "420" Jelly Bean ROM is based off the LH6 Samsung i9300 Jelly Bean leak and I've added some things for now that I wanted. My original plan was to make a ROM off the official Jelly Bean when it comes out next week but I was sorta messing with the LH6 and figured someone might enjoy this since I am running it already.
This isn't for everyone, for people who want to near stock. For those of you want the latest and best check out FoxHound instead!
Quick Video Overview
Features:
- Jelly Bean 4.1.1
- Custom Bootanimation Support
- Init.d
- SuperSU/su
- Deodexed/Zipaligned
- Removed some bloatware like Yahoo widgets
Bugs:
None yet. Let me know if you find any.
For custom bootanimation, download your favorite boot animation from AndroidBootAnimation.com and place in /system/media directory and reboot. (Use ES File Explorer and enable ROOT and MOUNT)
For init.d, place your scripts in /system/etc/init.d directory and reboot.

LGUI3.0 JellyBean ROM in the works - Needs few testers

Hi,
Yay I'm back. Will release TouchWiz ICS4.5 this weekend and TW5 JB in two weeks.
As above I have incorporated TonyP's LG CWM ROM with CM10 to make as a LG3 ROM with 4.1. I have deleted the CM10 parts from it later so its very stock like. Please a few testers try it and give me feedback as my 2X isn't available at the moment.

Awesome
I have downloaded it, and installed it. First off all I use 3.0 gig data partition and teamwin recovery, wich works flawlessly. It says in system info that it is still 4.0.4 but I don't know if that's actually true , the rom is smoother than the others, stefan and tonyp's and for the rest I don't really know what to say, sorry I'm a noob but, thanks and it works! If you can run CM10 it will work. Requires no partition.

Does Google Now and Chrome work. It would be fast as it has project butter.
Yeah I've realised I have wrong build prop in there.

[Q] advice needed for ROM selection

Hi all,
My wife is using an international Samsung Galaxy Note.
As all of you have already know the performance of the phone has been degraded more and more as upgrades are added to it. I have wiped the phone and downgraded to 4.0.4 but wouldn't help.
I didn't know pay attention to the development of third party ROM for Samsung Galaxy Note. So I would be much appreciated if some of your can tell me which ROM is close to Stock firmware (TW based) and with speed optimization. Graphical improvement or additional function is not my highest concern, I just want to make the phone faster and easy for my to use (same interface as stock rom).
Thank you for all your help.

Indeed it is. Thread closed
Please review XDA rules on what is and what is not allowed to be posted. Best ROM threads generally stir up arguments and thus are not permitted.

My ROM is based on JB 4.1.2, that android version number is just a build.prop edit for showing off
I prefer Stock
