[Q] Can i unlock my E15i using Flashtool?

Based on the guide by checking my x8 with s1 tool i got:

Can i unlock my x8 with flashtool ?
And is it needed to be in stock rom to unlock bootloader?

Take out your battery and check the date on your phone if it's more that 26 then don't unlock

i got 10w34

10w34 means You can unlock Your bootloader. I didn't try flashtool, but You should unlock bootloader using msm7227_semc.cmd file.
And stock ROM is recommended to unlock bootloader, cause on some custom ROMs it's working, on some of them it isn't. So to avoid any problems You should flash stock ROM first
Just follow these thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225 and everything should be fine
P.S. I am not responsible if your phone dies

Did You install gordon's gate drivers? They should be somewhere in the flashtool directory (propably flashtool_directory\drivers).

[Q] HELP:: Forgot to unlock bootloader and now stuck ??

hello guys . i have a xperia x8 e15i and i tried to install a custom rom. so it all went like this.
First i downlaoded gingerdx v.31 then rooted my phone,installed busybox,installed xrecovery,put gingerdx in my sd card,booted my phone into xrecovery made a backup of my rom cleared my cache installed gingerdx and hit reboot.
now my phone just stays on the SE logo and cant get into xrecovery. every time i put in the battery it just keeps on going into the SE logo and doesnt do anything.
I was thinking maybe i forgot to unlock bootloader but i cant really fix that now. all im thinking is how to get it back.
any suggestions ?

It's just a soft brick. You can repair it using pcc or simply flash stock rom via flashtool.

It's a soft brick. I have encountered it aswell. If you have PC companion you can install the Stock Eclair 2.1 back or flash it via Flashtool

thanks but i have tried to do it with pc companoin which wont let me cause it tells me to turn my phone on which i cant and when i try flash it with flash tool i cant find the right firmware :I

No dude. Just click on the support zone and some option will say Repair device or Upgrade software( I am not sure .. cant remember , you'll find it ) after that it will Download the Eclair 2.1 automatically and when it is downloaded it will ask you to hold some button and while holding that button ( I think its the back button ) connect the usb cable to your phone! your phone will show a green light and after that leave the job on the PC companion

Nothing to worry, its just a soft brick , easy to fix.
You just need SONY PC COMPANION and your device with data cable.
Follow the steps in screenshot.
After the third step just follow instruction [SONY will show you the way ] .. and it will be done.
NOTE:- You will return back to stock without SU. !

Just a soft brick..
experienced the exat issue..
just use Sony Update service.. .
easiest to remove your soft brick!

Flashtool Failure
Hey guys , thanks to everybody who has replied already but i have been very short in time lately.
So a few days ago ive managed to get flashtool and tried to flash it with the x10 v1 BLRelock.
Sadly i get an error.

Dude what u did is exactly wrong dont use x10 relock bl its for x10 phone better u choose stock rom of x8 that is android 2.1 then u r phone will boot and be sure to use flashtol.....!!!!

You can use Sony Update Service, you are right it's different !
Download here
SEUS works even when the phone won't boot...
You just need to find xperia x8 from listed mobiles, and follow instructions.. easy

This phone won't boot so PC companion will not be able to repair it !
Only Sony update service is able to repair the phone in flash mode
Many XDA users talk about SEUS and PC companion like if they were the same program...
P.S: if bootloader is unlocked, relock it by using RESTORE option in S1-tool or any soft you used to unlock it.
Relock the bootloader before using Sony Update Service

Are you serious? You don't know how to use pcc to unbrick a soft bricked phone then. Read up. Lots of guides showing just how to do it. And the update service is NOT the only tool to unbrick a phone. Please do a simple search about bricks first before you start giving answers and claim other users think pcc and seus is the same. You're only giving op false info.

I was just telling you that they are not the same software..
It happened to me during old soft bricks that PC companion sometimes won't do nothing through support zone => update
Ok Update Service is better (because it's different) and sorry for giving a fake info

I apologize for jumping on you mate.
Pcc can repair soft bricked phones although it's tricky for new users. In that aspect seus is better since it's simpler. Personally I prefer flashtool. I have stock rom and kernel on my pc just in case. I guess it's personal preference.

Thanks phone up and running again.
I cant root it though. I dunno why. I restored it with SEUS and then updated firmware with pcc. Still cant root it.

How are you trying to root it? Can you give us a log? Someone can probably help you out if we can identify what's wrong.

[Q] FLASHTOOL ERROR I DID EVERYTHING BUT my phone wont enter flashmode. MTP error.

I flashed stock rom.
My phone is rooted.
I can unlock the bootloader.
Installed all drivers.
But when i start FLASHTOOL JUST WONT UNLOCK MY BOOTLOADER!

UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER
im using the pcc to get a fresh stock rom,again!
i used s1 tool so i can unlock my bootloader it says.
but i am not able to do it!

Install Gordon Gates drivers
Open flashtool
Go to plugin/unlock
Then the program it will ask you to connect your device(disabled) in flash mode with pressed back button in usb port
Then will ask you to switch on your device
When the Sony Ericsson logo appears connect again (Fast)your device one more time in usb to complete the unlock method
If you have issues try again or reinstall the drivers

Bro what i wanted to do is to unlock my bootloader.
But i cant get it to work.
I did everything right!
But flashtool wont work!
What should i do now?

close your antivirus reinstall the drivers reboot your pc and try again
I can't help you farther..
Mine took 3 times until unlock with the flashtool
Also,try to unlock with custom rom..
I did it with GingerDX
No need necessary to be on official to unlock..

xperia sp bricked after hard reset

Hi.
I have Xperia Sp c5303 with C5303_12.1.A.1.207 soft or something like that, I cant turn on it to check.
One day i use reset button under the back cover to reset my phone when it jam.
After that phone doesnt work.
When i want power on, I can see only on the screen logo SONY and after that grey big settings logo in triangle and blue loading bar below.

I wait few hours for power on, and nothing. So I try to install new soft.
I use flashtool and it stop every time on command " INFO - Reading device information"
I try 3 version od flashtool, every usb port in my laptop, 2 soft version, with antivir off, after computer restart and nothing happen.
I try even repair phone by Pc sony campanion (support) and it stop on step when I must turn on phone in flash mode. It shows that telephone is connected but never goes to the next point..
Can someone help me ? I have no idea what to do next.

I wait few hours for power on, and nothing. So I try to install new soft.
I use flashtool and it stop every time on command " INFO - Reading device information"
I try 3 version od flashtool, every usb port in my laptop, 2 soft version, with antivir off, after computer restart and nothing happen.
I try even repair phone by Pc sony campanion (support) and it stop on step when I must turn on phone in flash mode. It shows that telephone is connected but never goes to the next point..
Can someone help me ? I have no idea what to do next.

You said you used 3 different versions of Flashtool.
Was any of them v0.9.18.5?

When that happens, are you on stock ROM?

I will try v0.9.18.5, but i think the problem is not in the version of program.

yes. I had the newest rom updated by pc companion
Somewhere i read that I should wait until adnroid will reapir itself but I wait almost 12 h and nothing happen..
I think that phone is freezing on this screen because, if I unplug phone, diode red is still light on, despite loading bar is still moving

Cannot install firmwares for Xperia Z2 by using both Flashtool or Sony Companion :(

Hi everyone,
I was running facebook app on my phone, the app had stopped, then com.google.gapps stopped, then many notifications about stopping other apps appeared.
I tried to restart my phone but it stuck at the first step (Only "SONY" and "Xperia" on the screen). So I couldn't start my phone.
I tried to reinstall firmware for it.
Using Sony Companion, but it stuck on this step:
- Make sure your device is disconnected
- Turn off your device
- Press and hold the volume down key
- Connect the device to the computer...
- Wait until.....
I did following the instruction but my device cannot be detected.
Then I tried flashtool, but it stuck on this step:
