[HD+] Quick battery discharge under CM10 (01/19) - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'would like to post that to HD+ CM10 development thread, but can't yet.
So, the problem is that tablet with battery level 70-80% is left alone for night (9-10 hours) with wi-fi on and on the morning I have it fully discharged and off with 3% of battery. It's the second time I face this problem (the first time tablet left alone at it's bag was fully discharged and heated up to 30°C or even more). When I left tablet alone for long periods of time either with turned off wifi, or turned off completely, battery level did not change noticebly.
I'm using latest 1/19 firmware. Before it, I tried 1/08 and 12/31 ones and did not experience such pain problem (under 12/31, my tablet could be left for 2 days and drop only 60% of charge). Of course, it may be also difference in software installed or launched between different firmware (but I have only Ad Block running in background, and also browser/GMail launched)

Have you changed the setting to turn off WiFi when in sleep mode? I am using CM10.1 on an HD, and doing that improved my battery life a bit.

Thank you, I did not notice this option. It's still a workaround, but better than nothing. Wi-fi should not eat battery so agressively

Yea, it is a fairly effective workaround though. I can make it 2-3 days between charges with regular use now. And that is fine with me haha. I will say the stock battery life was awesome, but ill trade that for CM10.1 any day.

Display + Battery level

Hello,
I recently got my nexus, and rooted only two days after receiving it. I installed cyanogen's latest. I am getting low battery; in only 5 or so minutes, the percentage goes down by at least 2 percent (while using). I looked to see what may have been draining the battery, and found that the display alone was using 62% to 75% of my battery. I tried undervolting, but the display seemed to still be in the same draining range...
Is this a hardware related problem, or is this a common nexus thing?

same here, really starting to piss me off when i see people talking about 70% battery at the end of the day while my phone dies in 6 hours
Cyan?
Woah, I think this might actually be cyan's Rom.
I flash enomther's rom and i got display percentage at around 15-16% ...
I think cyan will look into this soon enough...
But for now... I guess I'm gonna wipe... :/ and stick to enom's or some other ROM...

I think the problem is only with a few people, but I know others are experiencing this. This might be something with the "latest" nexi. But idk, it's a mutual issue, a fix should be coming
Probably you are right...
But, I would like to know, what settings peolple use: like updating wheater every hour, emails, widgets,..ham many apps are running and so on, ... perhaps connected to...sometimes people dont even know that
Edit: I got my Nex in january.
The change in the display usage percentage is just due to the way the powermanager works. Its not using more battery, its just displaying how much power it is using more accurately.
have the same problem.
100% airplane mode ON no WIFI, in 5 hours 72% battery remains . (PHONE IDLE took most of this - my G1 could go 1 month with this settings)
IN 12 hours in was 6% and with LOW use of my N1.
Yesterday I removed numbers in my battery and it was a litle better, not much but a little. (about 8% better)
I had 5.0.5.1, 2 and 3 and everyone had the same problem!
CM please take a look at this. What do you need any LOG info or something!
Have you tried wiping battery stats, then charging to 100% with it off, then booting into recovery and wiping battery stats again, then charging to 100%? The few times I've had battery issues that's taken care of it for me.
I flashed cyan again with a wipe (again), but got the same thing.
On enom's rom, I get beastly battery. I think we just have to wait for a fix for the people who are affected.

Do you need root to wipe battery stats? how do you do it?
Well I did the wipe battery about 3 times and in OS it was already green light 93% full.
I WIPED and put the power in on NON POWERED PHONE. It took 1 hour more to come to the green light . than I wiped again and went to boot up.
at 11PM i had 100% battery went into airplane mode wifi OFF.
And i did one other thing. Some of you had the battery drain issue with trackball wake. So I disable it.
7 hours of this and I got 97% - beautiful
before that I had 72% so there is a difference.
Now I have to see if the wakeup trackball is the cause of this or the wiping the battery stats.
Will eliminate one and other and keep you posted
I took my phone off the charger at 4:30am and the next day at 5:30 am i had 12% battery left. i used my phone a total of 3 times. most of the time it was on standby. i have setcpu with my phone UV and UC to try to save battery with profiles set up. in battery information 85% of the phones battery went to cell standby. Any suggestions on how to improve this?
Try wakeup trackball OFF in spare parts and battery % OFF in upper taskbar.
I have now from 100% to 59% in 7 hours. wifi ON all the time.
I have tried to wipe battery settings and charge fully with the phone off, but after the full procedure, I still get the same end result. I attached a picture of my battery usage.
Im pretty sure i saw a post online about the newer nexus's that were released having a better display. If this is true then wouldn't the phone's hardware alone be using more battery?
I can confirm I am having the same problem. I wasn't sure until I checked battery usage overnight. It used to be that with my phone on airplane mode I would use about 2% while I slept. Now, it's 9 or 10% with "Phone Idle" taking the lion's share of it.
I have tried deleting batterystats.bin after a full charge; powering off (while on charger); charging up to full again, but this has not solved the problem.
A few notes:
When the phone is idle (but not in airplane mode) it uses about 1.5% per hour (compared to about 1.1% in airplane mode)
I am using setcpu profiles to keep cpu usage right down when idle
Around the same time I upgraded to 5.0.5.3 I also started using the himem version of fastboot. And yes, if you suspect I don't know what I'm talking about here, you are quite right
For my next trick, I will try resetting battery statistics via recovery. What fun!
I've kept the cyan rom, and changed some settings to increase battery life. I turned off the battery percentage icon, and turned off the trackball to wake. I still got that the display was using a lot, but the battery still lasted pretty good. I guess there isn't too big of a problem on my side. It probably is the "newer displays" on the "newer" nexi. Maybe there really isnt a big problem
I changed now from CM to Enomther's TheOfficial Nexus1 1.8.1 and battery now works great.
I unplugged the charger at 12.00 am at midnight and with quite good use, not extremely havey but a good use I had 30% battery left at 20:00 (08:00PM) that day.
I lost only 2% from midnight to 7:00AM in my airplane mode and with Gmail check 10 min of phone calls wifi ON all the time checking web pages and showing off my live wallpapper at my work I had at noon (12.00PM) 70% battery left!
I LIKE IT!
now I'm thinking to push Kernel - .32 & .33 to see if there is any change with my battery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653598
After resetting battery stats in recovery, I still lost about 10% overnight while on airplane mode.
For my next trick, I'll use a task killer like "Process Manager"* to keep everything unnecessary switched off overnight. Maybe I'll be able to narrow it down to an application if it's not something integral to the actual ROM.
*Yes, I know it will use up the battery too

Battery life

I already took care of phone and telephony app but it says most of my battery life was killed by phone idle. How do I get rid of that?

You really don't need to get rid of these apps, without a radio they are not being used.
Read through this thread, and the link in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10323728&postcount=141
I'm not convinced
When I first got my NC, my first charge lasted 8 hours. After a few days of recharging, this crept up to ~10 hours. After rooting and renaming the phone and telephone files, battery life went to 4-5 days!
I left my charging cable at home and plugged it in at night once a week or so.
Now that I'm on HC, I'm back to carrying the cable with me at all times.
I did manage to find a power saver app with a 'Tablet' mode that shuts everything down but WiFi, and this seems to have improved things a little bit, but there is a very distinct difference between the battery life I had on Eclair with those 2 APKs renamed and what I'm now experiencing on HC.
If I'm not mistaken, phone idle is what happens when your screen locks. I would expect it to be there.
with nookie 0.6.8 running on sd cardd i only get about 4 days with very light use.

A real Android newb here - does teh NC suffer battery drain for its non-present phone connection? If so, how do you disable? Thanks
Currently neither Froyo, Gingerbread, or Honeycomb go into full sleep mode because of sleep death, Eclaire does. Hence, it's better battery life. It's what delayed CM7 for such a long time, and in the end they couldn't solve it. If I remember right it's a driver issue that should be solved once B&N releases their own Foyo update, and we get our hands on some real froyo drivers instead of making/modding our own.
I'm running CM7 r17 and I loose about 14% battery overnight(12+ hours). With elcaire, I saw something more like 4% loss. That's with wireless turned off of course.
I ran HC for a couple days (I like CM7 more) and saw the same battery-life problems, so don't think it's just you.

Three things:
1) I'm not sure why you keep referencing that you don't have your charging cable (this thread and the other). Is it supposed to indicate that you charge less frequently, therefore you have better battery life? You also don't indicate if your use/behavior was the same or different.
2) Your "measurement" points are:
- Brand new
- Post root with renamed files
Too many variables changed. You should have "tested" post root with files NOT renamed and then test post root with files renamed.
3) Brand new batteries do not always have the best battery life. After a few charge cycles, they tend to increase (some times exponentially).
It's generally accepted on this board that changing the files do not correlate to better battery life. However, it is your opinion and your Nook.

Battery Drains during Standby Mode

Does anybody experience a 3% to 5% battery drain just a few minutes after charging the battery to 100%? It has already reached 100% so I already unplugged it from the charger, but then I noticed after a few minutes, it went down to 97% already, and then in 10 minutes, it's already down to 96%. In 3 hours, it's down to 84%; in 7 hours, it's down to 38% and that's just on standby mode with Wifi/Bluetooth OFF, 3G OFF, GSM only. I've been experiencing this problem for the past few days now. I've already conditioned my battery, charging it to a full charge (100%) after draining the battery until it shuts the phone off. I only charge the battery while the phone is off and usually it takes about 3 to 4 hours maximum to charge it to 100%.
The longest time it reached was 12 hours (battery unplugged from charger) and that is with light use, such as Wifi is only on for a couple of hours, so basically just 2 hours web browsing and skype, 10-20 text messages and 30 minutes to 1 hour browsing the photo gallery or watching videos. No phone calls and 3G is off. The rest of the day, the phone is just on standby mode. I only have at most 10 widgets on the home screen. I have Avast Antivirus running in the background.
I am currently using Easy Battery Saver, Easy Task Killer, GO Task Manager and Battery Monitor Widget. I've uninstalled Juice Defender since I don't think it helps that much when it comes to the battery drain. Currently, the power saving option (available on Note) is enabled at 50%.

Any feedback or comment on this matter would be really much appreciated. Thanks!
From a personal standpoint. Your screenshots shows that your phone had never ever done a deep sleep at all. the 'Awake' mode is continously consistent as well. I guess the probable reason for that is you've installed ''Avast AV" on your phone. It's always running in the background (whenever the phone is ON). From my experiences, Any background application running would always cause wakelocks and the phone would never enter into deep sleep at all.
How bout you try uninstalling some of the background apps your using esp. Avast AV and give it a day to observe if your still having that battery drain issue. (Don't forget after uninstalling or removing those apps, try to wipe dalvik cache and battery stat and restart your phone after.)
and Oh by the way, I am using Juice Defender and contrary to your saying it doesn't help.. IT DOES HELP save battery as I my Note is able to reach 1.5- 2 days of normal use.
Cheers!
Yeah and download betterbatterystats and do some searching on it. With it you can discover what is causing those wakelocks. Search the web for more info on your wakelocks.

I'm using avast and never seen a drain like that. Only time I have is because of background processing. First thing I would do is turn off Background Data
Then as others have said - check batterystats to see where wakelocks are
Plus a rooted phone is a good thing. Titanium backup allowed me to freeze wi-fi sharing which also made a big difference
Finally - clear all caches from Applications menu and reboot

Only picture that shows that is the one with 1 minute 56 sec discharging time, so it was taken shortly after taking charger out. No suprise of it being almost 100% screen on time there if its only 2 minutes
Also installing "cpu spy" will give the cumulative time that your cpu spent at each frequency including deep sleep , mine is showing 88%
John.
Anti virus app is battery hog, I had avast before too, and I uninstalled it after 2 days using. Also that Juice defender, from my test before, it use up more battery than it saved. turning on and off those 3G/Wifi thing is using up alot of battery. and you know what? even the betterbatterystats use up alot, at least to me, becoz it scan what is up frequently.
Hello! Thank you all so much for your response. I've installed both BetterBatteryStats and CPU Spy and here are the results (please see attachments). Upon checking CPU Spy, it shows there that phone did went to deep sleep, maybe? I'm not quite sure, but it shows on the screenshot that it went to deep sleep for 19%. So does that mean the phone really went to sleep?? I'm sorry to ask this question, since I've never really encountered this problem before with my previous Samsung Wave phone, how will you know that your phone went straight to deep sleep mode?
Also, after 46 minutes or so, the battery went down to 96% already after charging it. The battery drain was already 4% in less than an hour.
@letters_to_cleo: I have not uninstalled Avast yet, since I'm still hesitant to use my phone without an AV. But I will try your suggestion for 1 day and see if there's any battery improvement.
I'm looking forward to your response or suggestions. Thanks again!
i am having problem too with new battery original samsung ( made in japan, finished in korea) previously i use samsung battery made in china, finished in korea. charged it over night with power off. it only last 13hrs. my wife phone can last 30hrs.
i've used batterymix to check the battery usage graph, the usage graph drop very fast compare to my wife phone. i'll post some screen capture of the graphs.
another issue is i used once wifi sharing. after turning switching the wifi sharing off, the wifi sharing service always at the background even after many reboot. how to turn that off??
You might need a new battery. Any rechargeable battery has a finite charging cycle. Just a suggestion.
Hi, all! I just noticed that the battery drains still even during deep sleep mode. After 3 hours or so (during sleep mode according to CPU Spy), the battery went down to 92%. It drains even faster when the phone is in use, especially when Wifi and Bluetooth are on, maybe 2-5% drain in 1 hour.
Maybe there's something wrong with the battery?? It's still a new battery and I can see some improvement each day though, but that's because I use it less each day. Before the battery can only last for 8-10 hours, then it increased to 12 hours, and then to 16-17 hours. BetterBatteryStats' current estimate to empty is 24 hours as of today, but that's because I only used the phone today for only a couple of hours, with 20 minutes Wifi and Bluetooth ON and most of the time, it's on deep sleep mode according to CPU Spy.
What do I do with the results from the Partial Wakelocks? Do I have to disable those apps?? The Kernel Wakelocks didn't show any reference apps running. The screenshots for the Partial and Kernel Wakelocks that were taken a few hours earlier still show the same results after 3 hours.

That would be really bad luck. I got my Note via preorder in Germany at the first day it was sold and since then I charged it everyday, sometimes even twice and there is no difference to the first day. If I get told by Samsung after 6month of normal usage the battery is dead that would be the last Samsung device I bought and I use a lot of Samsung stuff.
@ebichan24
Your last screenshots show between 9:35 and 13:35 5% of battery drain. That's not really a good value but ways lower than before. Did you delete some Apps or what did you change?
And since when occurred this issue? Did you install new Apps before this happened?
On my Note I had this issue sometimes without any changes but it was gone after a reboot.
Gesendet von meinem ARCHOS 101G9 mit Tapatalk 2
Agreed with Kanalcommander.... try a reboot in the first instance.
Others have also noted that it takes a few refresh cycles before the phone more accurately reports battery use. Perhaps what you are reporting is because the phone and battery are new (new ROM or Kernel loaded?)
What I have done in the past is to reboot into CWM recovery then clear the battery stats (in the Advanced menu option) Recharge the battery to 100% until it says to remove charger and then use normally until battery down to around 20%, then recharge the battery to 100% again. Do this over a few days and that may help.
thanks, it is new battery two days old.

Get badass battery to thoroughly monitor stats and then use zdbox to extend life even much eg. I put phone to auto flymode using that app when its sleeping time rest i am more than satisfied even if on GB LC1 fw..waiting for official premium suite for ics since i recently upgraded from sgs2 using ics i miss that smoothness and much better bat life.. That's what I'm currently doing right now, well, actually, what I do is I discharge the battery until it reaches 0% and turns the phone off. And then I charge the phone for 3 hours while it's switched off, I turn it back on again to check if the battery is fully charged and then I unplug it from the charger.
@Kanalcommander
**Did you delete some Apps or what did you change?
I haven't deleted any apps yet since I don't know which app/s to delete. Most of the apps I downloaded in Note were the same apps that I used in my iPhone4 and Samsung phone before.
**And since when occurred this issue?
This issue occurred since the first day I bought the phone, which was a couple of weeks ago. How long does it take to condition a new battery and new phone?? I'm sorry if I have to ask this question, it's just because I never really experienced this problem with my previous smartphones.
**Did you install new Apps before this happened? On my Note I had this issue sometimes without any changes but it was gone after a reboot.
I only installed recently CPU Spy and BetterBatteryStats and that's it. The drain of 5% from 9:35 to 13:35, the phone's just on deep sleep mode. And then from 13:35 to 23:44, it went from 92% to 74% while the phone is on deep sleep mode at 90% according to CPU Spy. That's 18% battery drain. It's just an unacceptable number for me. I tried rebooting the phone already, but every time I do so, just a few minutes after I turned the phone ON, there's already a 1% drain in the battery.
Also, does the battery really drain faster when the Wifi is ON? I've read in other threads that there might be some problem with the recent OS update that Samsung needs to address. Is this true?? Because as you can see on the screenshot below, the battery was still at 74% by 23:44 and then after I turned ON the Wifi and used it until 01:26, the battery went down to 54%. That's already a 20% battery drain in just less than 2 hours. I was only browsing through the Android Store and Skype.
Calibrate your battery in case you flashed any roms and for first usage I got my battery to 0% 3 times then everything is running great for example its at 47% now its 22 now and I have had it off charge since 7 morning..... i have wifi gps and 3g always on and use music player bluetooth and made some calls

My battery (also only a week old) drains quickly too. Can anyone tell me if widgets draw a lot of current? And then is it only the ones on the visible screen or do all widgets draw juice all the time?
I will ask such thing, did you guys check the battery expiration day ? Mostly sibce you got your phone almost a yeae after it was announced you nay get a bad battery, as for widgets the ones that are always active and asking for informatiom. Like location or weather over the internet yes they do eat your battery kinda fast.

Recurring battery drain? - Caused by memory of using app to drain battery?
Hello!
I used a battery drain app when charge left was 30% to accelerate drain to "die out" stage. After I completed the calibration process for unrooted phone as suggested in various sites (charge fully, switch off and charge etc.) I started using it from a 100% stage.
This afternoon when the battery showed 30% I saw in BMW the current flow was in -10ma to -15ma and it started spiking to hundreds. There was no change in settings or usage. From the 30% level it dropped to 10% in an hour and I had to charge again.
Was puzzled why the battery which was dropping around 0.5%/hour in standby earlier to the 30% level suddenly went down hill. My first guess was it was possible some file in the system remembered the previous usage history and replayed it out.
Any suggestions? Anyone faced this before? Everyone says LiOn batteries dont have memory so if anything it has to be the phone.
Thanks!

My Lollipop battery fix. Went from 40% overnight drain to 5%!

My battery life was fcuked: losing 40%-%50 overnight while it was inactive sitting on the nightstand.
(Factory reset did not help at all!)
Now after futzing with the WIFI setting, last night I lost only 5% total in 8 hours sleep time.
Furthermore battery read 18% remaining at 10:30 PM and still read 18% at 4:17 AM.
Now this is more like what my iPhone 6 gets while sleeping.
What seems to have fixed by battery woes.
I changed the (Advanced) WIFI frequency setting from Automatic to 5Ghz (which would not work at all) and then to 2.4 Ghz only.
As of today I have 87% remaining after 3 hours of casual use (after charging to 100%.) Previously (for the past week since installing Lollipop) I was losing about 25% per hour during casual usage - ridiculously bad battery life.
Hopefully this will work for someone other than myself. I had just listed this thing on Craigslist because I cannot use a phone with 4 hour battery life.
Good luck.
Just set it to the same WiFi setting, will get back with screens.
Thanks though, I have brought this phone recently and thought it was only me getting bad battery life :\ I've had to charge this phone more than I did my nexus 4. I brought it off someone after they had used it for 9 months.
mine
Mine loses 1 or 2% overnight with wifi left on. Luck of the draw i guess.

Good luck.

try setting it back to auto and see what happens. IE, try to replicate the issue and the fix.
For me, I went back to KK 4.4.4 factory image and took OTA seems to fix the wifi idle to just same as OP overnight (~5%). But after some use, it can drain quick but not as quick as I was on custom ROM (all kinds I tried).

This can happen when the phone is being moderately used before a longer idle period. The battery percentage will actually go up to compensate for the earlier usage estimation, giving the illusion of zero drop over night. It becomes clear after seeing the graph and the line going up only to drop down to the pre-idle level.
Kind of annoying since I'd like to see how much was actually lost over night. Just something that happens with the estimation process that is our battery level.
I recently switched from 2.4Ghz only back to Auto mode as it seems the WiFi speed drop issues are no longer present on my particular home network. No battery drain or issues yet but I will keep a close eye on it. Thanks for sharing.

I think your statement is true, as I noticed that with OTA updates, my idle over night is very low. However, upon using the phone the battery immediately starting to report drastic drop in percentage number. I mean this is cruel as in it gives us a false sense of battery consumption over all lol.
I will try it thanks
I'm going to give this a try. I've been using an app to turn wifi off when asleep but am still getting higher drain on wifi with the screen on than should be. Will report back after a day or two.
Personally I don't think they fixed the wifi miscellaneous drain and just hid it in the usage stats. My battery life has never been the same since the final dev preview. Luckily I'm always near a charger.

Did you guys read the entire OP?
I have had an overall drastic improvement in battery life - not merely during idle time

Right, I did read the OP and actually did make the same adjustments. However, I didn't see any improvements on my KK 4.4.4 upgraded to L via OTA in terms of idling overnight. My idle stats are very good even prior to the adjustment mentioned and same post adjustments. However, the freaking issue is when I started using the phone.
I think it is varies wildly for each user and their phone.
" the freaking issue is when I started using the phone.”
Indeed, this is another issue with this phone. Battery is too freaking small.
At this point i am back on my iPhone 6. iOS is a bit rigid for my taste, but the thing is fast, great screen, and runs two days on a charge, call quality is superior, louder speaker, etc!
Battery life is critical, yo.

I feel ya, I tried a 5s and iOS 7 out for about 6 months because it looked nice. Had great battery life until I had to jailbreak it to get it to do what I wanted (which is stock/non root stuff on android) and apps from cydia rocked my battery ;-( then it was like why am I having to tweak the crap out of this phone to do simple things I want that shouldn't be a big deal in the first place? Finally just decided to come back to my N5 in the end.

This. I hate how much my battery drains when my screen is on. I'm convinced some of it is Lollipop though. I got a feeling it is also related to the memory leaks.

Agreed about ios, but it is getting better. The notificatiins just got a lit better....little things are slowly improving.
Something that is GREAT on iOS now: voice to text is screaming fast now, and extremely accurate. I rarely type emails and texts now. No kidding!
I went back to 4.4.4 last night - as while the idle drain was fixed with these settings, the overall battery life while using the phone under LL is still relatively miserable.
4.4.4 seems a bit better...
Now I see that 5.0.1 is apparently being released in the next day or two...we shall see. So far the release notes say nothing about a battery fix.
On 4.4, I observed a massive reduction of WiFi wakelocks by setting static IPs in my home network. So if you have problems, give it a try.
is it possaible some app drain it in overnight?
Does no one else realise that a major OS update needs to "bed in" for a good few days? The battery life performance is a lot better on LP. I've an HTC desire 610 though and it goes days between charges. It's a 420 battery but 1/4 hd screen. You take your choice of features and find your phone/s

First night on battery

I let it charge to 100% around 1am, unplugged and work up at 730am. Battery was on 85%. No use at all.
During regular use it seems to drain quickly. I've disabled probably 20 apps.

I have my edge since Monday and what you're saying I have not experienced. Post some screen shots of your battery stats so we can have a better idea of what's going on

I went to bed around 1am as well, woke up at 9:30am. I also disabled around 20 apps. Bedtime battery was at 95% wake up battery was at 85%. I dont think thats too bad at all.
I'm pretty happy with my battery life so far
Does Verizon have an immediate ota update like tmobile? I didn't he update right away and seems solid enough. Not as good as my g3, but way smaller of a battery in the edge.
Disable the Amazon App Suite from Applications manager. This has been the culprit for every carrier on the S6. If you use Amazon app store, download it through amazon directly (it is a different app than the one included with the phone).
Your problem will be solved right away!!
Also, the Edge display (not the contact color part, but the clock and news feed) is a battery drain.
another problem with alot of s6 owners, aside from the stock amazon app, is there has been alot of battery drain if using wifi. I had wifi on most of the time and noticed a drain from cell standby... once you turn off the wifi that never comes up and drain is perfectly fine... no cell standby battery drain...
My battery was terrible the first day, ok the second day, and far better today. Seems like it has a time it needs to settle down.
I haven't gotten >3.5 hours screen on time yet. Which kind of stinks.
Disabled a few more apps today, will see if they helps any.
Sure have been getting use out of the quick charging though.
Yesterday my phone took a change in the battery department....

Wow!
What's your screen-on time? Power-saving enabled at any moment?

Sorry, I didn't look at that before I plugged it in.
Almost 6 hrs of screenon time use, Netflix for 30 mins...Facebook and texting. Screen set at around 30% brightness. Happy with my S6.
Not disappointed in how short the overall battery is...it does what I want and need it to do.
Yesterday my phone was dead from 6am to 6pm today at 5pm still have 47% left and I definitely used it more today. Better with age?
Hello I just gave my first full charge to my phone and the cell stand by is at the top, is there a way to avoid this or we going to accept to live with it, thanks for your help.
my battery wasn't too bad either
