Wifi Problem - s5570i(stock ROM - kernel) - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Yeah, me too and sometimes it also tells you 'error' if you switch wifi off and then want to switch it on again. At Samsung-forum they told me it happens if the accespoint-name is too long/has got special characters like $#- etc. It didn't help me but maybe it does help you if you change the name of your AP and delete all savedAPs with special characters. Anyway, if you reboot, it normally works again (at least some time )

Jpm/jp6 strange behaviour

Hi after upgrading to froyo using the keis reg edit i have observed some strange behaviour and was wondering if anyone has seen the same. Oh I also installed voodoo lag fix.
When I start the phone you see corrupted image for half a second.
Wifi doesn't seem to auto connect when I go to a zone with a known network (work and home) but needs wifi turned off and on to connect.
Internet does force close every now and then (never did before)
My angry birds link disappears from the desktop on restart.
Anyone else seen these problems?

Mobile internet problem

Hi guys
Back with another problem.I flashed my sgm.Had cm7, emanom, minimod, now andro-id.My problem is this: i cant activate the mobile internet.I click on it to activate, it shows that it's active, but the data symbol does not appear on the top part of the screen. On the original rom i had a data connection symbol where is the sound symbol now.Any ideeas on how i can get my internet going again? The wifi works perfect btw.
Thank you for your time
SAme problem with me...any one help plz
Sorry it was nuswan , not emanon. Tried emanon and it only hung up once, turned mobile internet off, turned phone off, on again, and it's working since then.So emanon for me it is.Strange thing is that with the others roms it didn't work after completing these steps. So anyone has an ideea on how to fix this?
P.S. Those are ALL great roms, love them all.Sadly mobile internet is a thing i cannot live without.
Thanks for your time
Are you using SETcpu / CPUtuner or similar app to save battery? SUch apps sometimes keep data connection in "pulsed mode". Have you rules out thispossiblity?

[Q] Do have the same problem? (wi-fi)

Hello.
I've tryed many ROMs that are here in xda: Froyobread, GingerDX, GingerXperia, kuyaDROID, xGin, etc... And now I am using Stornmix with stock kernel.
But in all this ROMs I've had always the same problem: wi-fi.
My wi-fi connection works good during 1 or 2 minutes. Then it stops working and I can't use the browser nor the market or other app that uses internet connection.
When I turn off and on again the Wi-fi, the internet connection comes back good, but the same happens after few time.
I even tryed 1 wi-fi fix that i've found here, but didn't solve my problem.
Have you guys experienced this problem too?
Any clue how to solve it?

It is already that way.
Always have been.
Delete the remembered connections.Sometimes too much of them cause problems.
There's a compatibility issue with WPA-AES encryption. It's been discussed here and somewhere else (official SE forum i think). Not much to do about it...

Scratch the "AES" and make it "EAP" ...
IF AES would be a problem I think no one of us could connect to their access points as WPA/2 actually uses AES for encryption ...

I had a similar problem with GDX back in the days of v012 onwards. The WiFi connection wouldn't completely die but only go through a disconnect/reconnect loop every 2-5 minutes (unless I used "Wifi Static" to set a static IP configuration for my access point).
I solved the "disconnect/reconnect loop while using DHCP" problem by switching to another WiFi channel (my Access Point automatically determined channel 1 to be the best choice ... I later on switched to channel 11 and the problems fixed itself) - sounds weird, but worked.
You may give it a try.
On the other hand we already had weird WiFi problems which really didn't go away unless one flashed back to stock (where the WiFi suddenly worked flawlessly again) and changed over to the custom ROM again from there.

Thank you for your help, I'll try that and see if it improves my wi-fi.
And yes, as I can remember, it worked nice with the stock rom.

Wi-fi always on?

hi, i'm new here and didn't found nothing to fix my problem.
I'm trying to use my wifi always on, i already set the wifi-policy on always but it still disconnects when my screen turns off so i'cant get notifications like mail, whatsapp, steam, etc.
i already tried with the different "wi-fi lockers" in the market but nothing.
my previous phone (galaxy 5) didn't have this problem so i think the router it's not the problem.
also, i'm using this baseband "S5830CVJKL4" and obviously in a 5830m (same as c and i)
thanks.

Is your mobile data/roaming turned on ?

Are you using a battery saver (juice defender, for example)? If so, make sure you don't let it control your wifi.
i'm not using battery savers and my mobile data is turned off.
i'll try with a different baseband today, not sure if that have something to do with the wifi.
Weird, i use advanced wifi locker for another tablet that i got that problem and fixes it, though, i noticed that works in some roms and in others don't.
Anyways maybe is because the rom? i use the stock galaxy one and i don't need to use 3rd party to get the wifi on always.
well, aparently IT IS my router, tested in a friend's home with his wifi and didn't have this problem.
weird, the problem it's only when my screen is off, i guess i'll call my internet provider tomorrow, thanks guys.
