Logitech K400 keyboard (using OTG cabe) - Nexus 7 General

I'm using this keyboard on my nexus 7! And it works but after some time of inactivity it stops working. And I have to disconnect and connect the cable again.
I tested in my Samsung Galaxy S2 and I had no problems.
I'm using this app in both devices and the cable is also the same.
External Keyboard Helper Pro - Apedroid

Interesting. I use the same keyboard for my Bionic and RAZR Maxx while both are docked. Great keyboard for HTPC use. May have to try now on my N7.

Hi!
I've bought logitech keyboard k400 and for me sorprise it doesn't work with me NEXUS 10.
I've looked for in internet the solution or the motive but I didn't read anything.
Any help?

Is the app even needed? Perhaps the app is the source of the trouble?
I used a Logitech USB keyboard ("Internet 350 Keyboard" M/N Y-US76A) w/ 4.2.1 on the N7 via OTG cable - just plugged it in and it worked. No apps needed / no diddling of settings.
Didn't use it a lot though, so maybe I didn't use it enough to experience the same symptom.

The app is useful.
I think that the last night build of CM solved the awake problem of K400.
Didn't test that yet!

I'm using the last night build of CM 10.1 and still happens.
I'll test other keyboard.

Awesome idea

This is just an idea but with the brains on here I know something could be done. The hd dock let's you have legitimate usb ports. Would it be possible to use a PS3 controller directly through it? Could make emulators and such a great and awesome thing. Any ideas?
You can buy the six axis controller app in the market. It will use Bluetooth to connect them and you won't need a dock or a cable.

lol, i know this now. had read a while back about it not working well with the bionic. didn't check for an update before posting. looked at it about an hour afterward....and i now have the sixaxis app running and am reliving the megaman days...
Sixaxis works on the Bionic now. You need to bypass IME so it makes the controller act like a hardware keyboard. Some people notice lag when using it through the HDMI though. Personally I haven't had that issue.
Do i need any hack o mod to use this app?
Yes i check the market and say root required lol

Gamepads with Touchpad

I am fully aware that you can get a Official PS3 control pad to work on Android.
Using the USB method of contecting devices does anyone have a USB gamepad working?
Edit: If so which gamepads?
You can simply connect via Bluetooth
USB not Bluetooth

He's talking about using the OTH method, rather than the Bluetooth method.
As for any working, I have no idea, since I haven't made an OTG setup for my tablet yet. It's on my to-do list.

Yes I am talking about the OTG method. In my current location I really struggle to get anything so any advice on what I should buy to play games?
After checking all the threads I could find for those using various OTG setups, there do not seem to be any game controllers working that way. BT is going to be your best option here and there are several game pads that will work well with the touchpad.

I'm not sure specifically about the TP, but on my Nexus S, as long as you had ICS and a kernel that supported OTG, then there were a number of game pads you could use through OTG such as a wired 360 controller and some Logitech ones.
You can check the link in my sig for more info.
I'll try and test this out on my TP sometime this week when I get a chance.

Use the Droid 4 keyboard on the Nexus 7

Hi everyone.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use the Droid 4's physical keyboard as a bluetooth keyboard on the Nexus 7? Or the iPad.
Thanks... this would be awesome

I found this on the play store, no idea if it works.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tournesol.tabletremote&hl=en
Theres also a app called BlueputDroid which emulates a generic bluetooth mouse/keyboard.
EDIT: I tried the Tablet Remote app, but I dont think it worked on either the tablet ( Asus Transformer Infinity) or the phone (Droid 4), I got bluetooth service discovery errors on both, but the BlueputDroid does work, its what I use. I hope the Tablet Remote gets worked out because it looks like a really nice app!

logitech f310 game controller

I got a nexus 7(not rooted) and a Logitech f310 controller, when i connect the controller it works on the home screen, when i launch grand theft auto 3, the camera spin around. is there a way to get this controller to work with grand theft auto 3?
Anyone got a answer?

If I was to root my nexus 7, will the controller work?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
There is a known issue with the gamepad layout file that causes this. You have to be rooted to replace the file with the fixed version. It is not game specific as it effects most games and controllers.

So after I root, how do I fix the game controller file, and where do I get the file.

I also would like to know the fix so I can use tablet remote app to use my phone as a controller for emulators. The app works with everything but emulators. I have tried keymapping without luck
Do a search for wireless xbox controller fix. Should be the same.

Problem with Logitech unifying receiver

Hey!
I have Logitech keyboard which uses unifying receiver which works just fine on my Google Nexus (predecessor to Nexus 4), but for some reason it doesn't work on my Nexus 10. Any ideas?
The drivers are missing in the stock kernel. See Craig's Rom in the development section for his modified kernel which has the drivers.
