Hi all..
I just recently bought an unlocked Telstra galaxy tab..
Well..yes i am a noob..
That's why i'm asking..!!
What is this supposed to means?
PDA : P1000TDVJJ3
PHONE : P1000TDVJJ3
CSC : P1000TDVTTELJJ4
What is the connecrion of those above with the ROM's or Kernel? (i see alot of post that mentioned jj*,xx, etc..
Hope someone would be realy kind to help..

Hello,
Since we are in australia and using P1000T, that is the firmware. Your firmware is JJ3.
Now, from here you can:
Stay stock (leave it at that)
Get custom Rom (overcome, etc)
If you want custom rom, look in the galaxy tab android development and follow the instructions to the letter to avoid bricking your tab.
It is normally advisable to flash your rom to roto's rom first before you get a custom rom. Roto's rom: roto jmi or roto jme, just search the development section.

I flashed 2 P1000t's straight to gingerbread with no problems... The bootloader doesn't need to be patched. Follow the instructions in the overcome thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=596770&d=1305467639 or these instructions & Links on this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13781955
Just remember, You don't need to flash the modem.bin part, just untick phone in ODIN. This allows you to keep the original Telstra radio...

Ok bloke so two questions if you can please help. What is the best way to backup the existing stock to restore back to in case i screw it. Also when you say you went straight to gingerbread, which gingerbread rom did you use that was successful.
Did you use/have you heard of the Euro Italian one that is floating around the traps?

You MUST have AT LEAST 50% battery or you may end up with a brick. The tab doesn't charge during the flashing process so if you have low battery it will be sucked dryt pretty quick. Flashing seems to use a bit of power...

You need to follow the steps EXACTLY (if you want pictures go to the overcome thread and get his flashing manual, though there a re a few files named different and he doesn't need to flash the dbdata.tar file after the 1st flash...I also flashed the CF-Root V3.2 afterwards using ODIN....
Flashed 3 times using ODIN. Now have stock gingerbread and CWM on tab...
You can use the modem.bin file from the stock rom to keep the Telstra modem...
Takes about 10 - 15 minutes , go slow, read each step and DON'T skip ahead or you will come a cropper...
Remember, you can ALWAYS flash back to stock through ODIN as long as it recognises your tab....
I then flashed the Overcome rom V2.0.0 RC1 using CWM...
Happy Flashing....

i just manage to root GT-P1000T with chainfire thingy..(can't remember the name)
i fire up root explorer..and also installed bootloader patch - as per suggestion i found in xda (it says that mine are safe)
does it realy means that i realy could flash my dev with any firmware??

You have the same Tab as I do, yes you can flash any gsm or european rom... DON'T flash the cdma roms as they are different from my understanding, could be wrong...
Look at my post above if you want to flash to gingerbread... I know that works...

For people who have somehow screwed up their kernels (by flashing a kernel that they were not supposed to flash)
here is a odin package of original stock kernel
NOTE : you need to use odin 1.84 or 1.85

i'm a little busy on my college admission procedures (maybe joining IIT or Delhi College of Engg) and also some other personal work holds me up... other than that I also develop AOKP for Xperia
so it might take about 3-4 weeks time before i can make any custom ROMs for Galaxy Y series phones

Accidently deleted youtube
hi i use ANTTEK APP MANAGER , and by mistake i touched the 'delete' button intead 'froze'.
now i want that youtube app back (as a system app), what should i do??
i checked the system/app path using root explorer and there is a youtube.odex file,
can i put any youtube apk there or will i have to put the version of apk that came with my stock firmware??

now i have some more questions
1. How can i make a full back of my current ROM/Kernal so that these type of mistakes wont bother me in future. Please provide link to the guide,
2. currently my phone is rooted , and i want to back up the stock ROM that came with the phone (unrooted ROM), Is it possible???
question is important because my phones "A" key has stopped working and i need to send it to Samsung care for warranty.

1. You can use cwm for making backup of kernel and rom.. the y duos cwm works fine for your device too..
2. Not possible.. but you can flash firmware updates uploaded by manoranjan2050 in my kernel thread last page.. so follow procedure given in my signature for Odin flash guide link to do it ...

Unable to put Compact kernel 1.2.2 for B5512 into recovery or download mode. The three button combo just reboots the phone without entering into recovery or download mode. How to get it right?
Never faced such problems with SGS SGS2 SGNote or even SGY duos.

How Do You Move From German ROM to UK ROM?

The UK ROM XEULP4 has just been released and I would like to replace the German ROM XXLPY which I flashed on my UK Note. Can anyone describe a safe way to do that?

download the rom with checkfus etc and simply flash with pc odin its a non wipe rom and i even kept root

Btw another way, the one i used, is using Mobile Odin, that did the trick for me

[Q] Can I flash a P1000 rom to a SHW-M180S Korea Galaxy TAB? & other questions

Hello,
Recently I get a SHW-M180S Korean Galaxy TAB. It work like a charm but I need extra features and a good custom rom.
I did a lot of research, even in korean forums, but I can't get much info on how to root and install roms.
- First problem is rooting. I know Froyo 2.2 is easily rooteable but I have an:
Android 2.3.6
Kernel version 2.6.35.7
Build number GINGERBREAD.UC27
Wich is imposibble for me to root. I've tryed SuperOneClickv2.3 and DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit with no luck and a few other with the same result. I know for sure it's related to Gingerbread 2.3.6 and didn't find a tool or tutorial on how to root it.​
-Second is the rom change. I know that there are a few posts asking for this, but, I didn't find a clear and concise response to:
can I flash a rom for a TAB P1000 to a SHW-M180S???​
I hope that some one can answer me or at least guide me in the correct direction because all the info I found about it finish on a dead end. At least for my Gingerbread 2.3.6

I reply my self afer days of digging around and risking my TAB in to a brick.
I've found a rom that is the last one developed for the SHW-M180S (Android 2.3.6 UC27) but rooted.
I have flashed it with Odin 1.85 wich is the one known to work well with this device. Everything goes well and now I have a rooted TAB. Here is the link to download it.

Now I want to go further and have a compatible and working custom recovery but I don't know which can work, so please, I need some one to guide me!!

Does Normal Tab's Recovery and root will work for this mobile?

why not try CyanogenMod 9.1 for tab p1000

why not to try CyanogenMod 9.1 for P1000 as long as you have an official Rom you can install it from odin
i'm downloading the Rom you mentioned i'll try P1000 CWM update then try ICS rom

Today i try flash my M180S with P1000XEJQ8 and TAB die, only the light when i try power on.
After flash (use odin) with HOME_M180S.TE23.1719_CL227119_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5, it hanging on the "Galaxy tab". I do wipe and try reflash again, but same.

Here is the ICS for your model , i am using it for months i don't have any issue . the only issue is sms capability. but i don't use sim so it works for me .

Absolute nothing to do , just flash it with ODin , kernel contain clockwork recovery. but make sure before and after flash factory reset . and make a backup of your internal storage , mine got formatted so just in case make a backup.

I don't think it has Russian Language. but it has English so its good for many tasks.

iam not that good in android .. but my galaxy tab ( korean ) with 2.6.35.7 kernel version is down ... it's just flashing ( the flash of camera ) is workng when i connect it to computer ... can any one help me to fix it ?

There is one problem, I have my TAB in stock and this rom have no recovery so I cannot do a backup. But I really wanto to do a backup, so, can I instal clockwork recovery? and wich version do I need to install?

I meant backup your internal storage , photos , videos and other stuff not asked you to make a nandroid backup. you can flash the kernel but it does not make nandroid backup so you just have to deal with it. if you can't factory reset before flashing you can do it after flashing.
I have provided you the original thread link . you should read all the stuff there. i can only help you if something goes wrong. by the way you always can flash stock firmware.

[Q](I9305T) How to install CM10.1 into my i9305t(Australia model, not telstra)?

Hi, I am a new guy here, I already rooted the phone, and installed the CWM5.5 follow the existing topic. Both working well, Thanks. But I cannot flash the CM 10.1 into i9305t with CWM5.5, always aborted. Do I have to use TWRP(never use before) to flash the rom because it's (T)? Or can I install other rom to reduce system and save battery?
I searched the forum but most of the topic are about i9305 not i9305t. Could u guys just recommend a better rom for me to suit my T?

I9305t CWM not installing
Hi , I also have a i9305t (Australian) I have rooted the phone but am having trouble installing CWM. I have tried Rom Manager but keep getting the error about my internet connection or space on SD drive. I have a solid wi-fi connection and a 32gig SD, Any suggestions, or how did you get CWM onto your phone? Thanks
