Most likely some cpu heavy app was still running after being divided by zero.
But myea maybe the camera got stuck, that happened to me once so who knows
You didnt leave the torch on did u? ;p
Better close all unneeded apps if u plan on not using your phone for a while.

I dont think so, if u close the running apps before you leave your phone for a while, and it doesnt happen again i woulnd worry too much about it.

Hey guys
I have a mate whose SGS i9000T will no longer turn on, it is about 5 months old, battery is fine and just died while the screen was off, was not even being used. The last app used was browser. Can't get into Recovery or download modes and the backlight doesn't even register while the AC is plugged in.
Any suggestions would be great or is this a hardware fault? which too me it sounds like
Theirs two possible reasons for this bud....1, custom firmware incorrectly flashed. 2, hardware. I had the same problem and I had to send mine off to Samsung, if you blame the damage on Kies, say after the update it wouldn't turn on they will fix it for free.

The only things applied were a lag fix that was weeks ago though so i doubt that is the problem, sounds like hardware problem then

In that case I'd put it down to hardware bud! Are you in the UK? as we have dozens of Samsung service centres, just blame it on Kies if I were you, say after the update it wouldn't turn back on, and they'll fix it for nothing bud

hey everyone, i have a problem when im using either sgsII rom and adrenaline rom,, during the night while charging the phone turns off,, i dont think its the phone because i have used lots of other roms and it doesnt turn off with them??

Yeah. That happened to me before a lot of times. It depends on the rom you're using though. I never knew what the cause of the problem was but I know as soon as I switched to another rom it stopped happening. It was randomly though.
oh ok well glad to know im not the only one,,, it only happens to sgsII rom and adrenaline, and it does it every time
just ask in the discussion about SGII rom
Maybe thats a safe measur from rom devs as when you keep your phone or carging at night it will obviouly cause your phone over charge and this random switch off may help your phone from getting overcharge and save it from exploding

Doesnt the alarm go off even when the phone is switched off??
My phone was working fine and battery timing was 1.5 to 2 days but accediently i broke my phone's charger (when it was separate from phone). So
I charged my mobile from computer via original usb cable and my phone was heating up alot in these three days while charging, it did'nt happen before during charging. So I purchased a new charger and after 100% charging the battery got completely empty in 4-5 hours and this happens again and again. So I purchased original battery and it is also giving timing of 4-5 hours.
I reset my phone and nothing happend. Even I didn't install any application in my phone.
The OS version is 2.3.6.
Please tell me the solution if there is hardware or software problem.
Hmm... it seems it was your OS. Try flashing other ROM.
I don't think it is a soft problem, is a hardware one. Read the data from the original charger and try to found one exactly like it. (data=input/output/freq)

I have found the solution but it is temporary...... after full charge I put out the battery for 30 and then put in phone and it gave backup of 1.5 days but after discharge I charged it again and the problem again started...... So I again put out the battrey for 30 minutes and It again gave back up of 1.5 days........ I want to know is there any permanent solution of it..
Plz tell me what is the problem....

A logcat will tell us exactly where the problem lies if it is related to software in any way you can use some apps from market for the logcat

What battery did you replace it with, a link would be helpful. If it was an eBay knock off, there may be a chance its a dud.

seems like d battery is loosing its charge very quickly .. or supply is inconsistent.. even small current drops can turn off ur note .. clean d contacts ..if u have a spare battery somewhere check with it ..if d problem persists .. take it to d service center .. unroot it first

my phone just died .. JUST!
in the morning after the alarm belled, my phone can't be charge.

tried reboot , shutdown , wipe dalvik,battery, full wipe.
again, NOTHING *sigh..

One probable reason is that battery totally lost energy..use a universal charger to charge the battery for at least 30 min..try re-inserting battery to phone then..and charge via x8 charger

may be its because your battery life has exhausted and you have to replace the battery
or
your micro usb port on the phone may be damaged
or
the phone may be charging but the led light is just not blinking,simply leave the charger connected to the phone and switch on the power just like you do to charge any phone and wait for half an hour or so. try rebooting your phone.is the phone charged now?
Just try and unbricked ur phone.I know it's a battery problem but just try unbricking it.Make sure to make a backup before doing anything else.
