How much thickness does it add? Does it feel durable?

Looking at this picture, it doesnt seem to sit very nicely along the side with the flap.

Why so cheap ? Is it genuine Samsung cover ?

I dont think it is. I dont see how you could start a thread like this and not include more information.

It actually doesnt look like that, it's all the way down.
I dont think the person who took the picture had put it all the way down.
I looked at my friends that he got from Samsung and its exactly the same.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium

It is a genuine.
Like I said.
I looked a friend if mine's flip case and its exactly identical.
As seen above even comes is Samsung marked packaging.

Genuine Samsung enclosing in my country looks like the one OP got his cover in. I think they have different packaging for different regions. Think i'm gonna try this one for 10$.

Hm we'll never know then. Regardless I'm buying one too, wish shipping wasn't so expensive.

does it look like the pictures in the ebay listing? looks completely black in OP's pictures.

It is all black.
Battery cover is black and glossy.
Prone to fingerprints lol.

I like it.
Sleek and durable.

It might be cheap because it doesn't have the NFC antenna.
I was looking in a local Samsung concept store about a month ago and I asked about their flip covers, which were being sold for about 3/5 of what I had seen them going for elsewhere. The guy there told me they were cheaper because they didn't have the NFC antenna. He also said that they did have the NFC-capable ones before and they were almost double the price of the NFC-less variants.
Maybe Samsung decided that, since not all people use their phones' NFC capabilities, some people would rather pay less and give it up completely.
I'm not saying that this is one off the NFC-less flip covers but that's one possible reason it's so cheap. And, of course, there are the fakes. The fakes I've seen here have been in boxes very similar to the one I got mine in sans the holographic sticker. The font is also a bit different.
Oh, and the flip covers do fit really well. Actually, it was an even snugger fit than the original. It's just that the side to which the flap is attached is a bit thicker. That's why it looks slightly raised in his picture.

Mine has the NFC antennae...
It works just fine.

This is absolutely, without a single tiny doubt in my mind, completely NOT an official Samsung flip cover.
But its not a bad knockoff for $10.

Nope it's legit.
This is official packaging in UK and Asia.
Still using mine and the leather is still strong.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium

Where is it Made in?
The genuine is Made in Korea.

Looks like you got a product different than pictured on the ebay link.
Seems the pictures are of genuine product and yours is a GOOD knockoff.
1) The contacts on the genuine are gold, yours don't look gold.
2) Also that strip where the contacts are, original is black...yours looks silver
3) the letters that the ebay ad points attention to appear to be missing from yours (or I can't read due to low res pic)
Not saying it's a bad case or not as good as the genuine one................just shouldn't be called a genuine if it's not.

Brief Review of Ebay Neoprene Case

Hey all, just picked up one of these $4 neoprene cases from Ebay and figured I'd give my 2 cents for any others looking to grab one.
(edit: err, can't post links yet. but it is the one with the SAMSUNG logo on it, NOT the one with the android image.)
After using the Silicone Amzer case from Amazon for about two weeks, I begun to realize that I wasn't fully enjoying the aesthetics of the Nexus S. I found myself frequently taking it out of the silicone case just to see how shiny it looked all by itself
Received this neoprene pouch two days ago from Ebay (a HK dealer, it took about 10 days to arrive), and am much happier with it. Though I am not OCD about keeping a phone pristine, I am pretty careful with my devices. This pouch allows me to keep it protected when not in use (e.g. in my pocket, in my car, or on my desk), but still allows me to fully enjoy the unencumbered design of the phone.
Anyway, here are some photos. Feel free to ask any questions. For $4, this thing is perfect. Ideally, in the future when more cases come out, I'd like to grab something a little higher quality.
pm me the link I would like to but one. Thanks

Sweet. For future reference, searching "nexus s neoprene" on Ebay will get it to show.
I picked one up after everyone said it was the same as the N1 sleeve. For the price it is definitely a nice little case, but the quality is a drop from the N1 sleeve (not a huge deal, but not what I was expecting based on the comments in the other thread).

Samsung Galaxy Tab Protective Leather Book Cover Case - Black (EF-C980NBEGSTA)

Any reviews on this case? http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...AHFM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307237489&sr=8-1
seems real light
im using the same case. not really that light but fits the SGT perfectly and really protects it.
I also have it, and use it every day.
You will have to take it off if you use the docking, but thats the only down side.
I really like this part where it can stand on a table.
The Scosche case is fantastic!
I have the Samsung case as well. I think it provides good protection and it does work great as a standing case as well. Just wish there was a way to secure the cover closed. I picked it up directly from Samsung for $44 so for $20 it's a steal.
It covers the rear camera. I don't like it at all.

No it does not!
It has a hole in the back for the camera and the flash.
I have one since December and like it very much.

NOTE TO ALL don't buy it from the link I had. They mislabeled the item and its really the Official Samsung silicon back cover. I can ship it back for free for a refund but what a pain in the neck as I can't take my TAB out anywhere for fear of scratching it. Just get it from Samsung, which is what I am doing right now.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/EF-C980NBEGSTA
Use coupon code: SUMMER2011 to save 10%
You get 20% with that code(I tried to buy 2 items, case and dock). Seems they don't accept Canadian orders and I can't find the case on Samsung;s Canadian site, nor the online store.
Anyone know where this can be found in the UK?

I may be blind (must stop doing that naughty stuff ), but I couldn't find a link to the N7 product range from the portenzo main page .
Anyway, here's a direct link: https://shop.portenzo.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=bookcase-for-nexus
Look pretty stunning, not too bulky. BUT not cheap! Particularly if you're shipping internationally.
I think I may get one...
/edit: Notes/warning
1. Introductory offer starting at $39.95 so 10 bucks off.
2. I've read some pretty negative reviews about delivery time and customer service (from iCrap discussions) - a month or more to get the case, company deletes negative reviews and warnings about delivery times etc. So. Premium may come at a price that is more than just dollars!
edit2: Oh dear: Not what you'd expect for such a premium product: http://insofar.org/blog/portenzo-ipad-case/
Aww man it doesn;t have all the options like the ipad ones :|
Great find. I was looking at some cheaper cases but nothing really looked worth the money. Ordered mine tonight, hope it ships soon!
Since it has the smart cover magnets, I am in for one.

That was an interesting review. I love the book style cover and I guess after a year the case starts to wear out. I've read mostly positive reviews about their cases and only complaints really was about shipping time issues. Either way I think I'm going to give them a shot. Just emailed them about prices for the other style cases.

Amazing product my case is still intact today, im totally going to get one for my nexus
wow these cases are expensive. I might invest i'm not sure yet...
Nice looking case and a little cheaper than Treegloo.
I think the mark of a good company is not necessarily an excellent product, but what they do when things go wrong. It seems that this is where Portenzo falls a bit short. And a 90 day warranty? If you're pitching something as a 'premium' product, and you're only prepared to offer 3 months on that superior workmanship, what are you saying to your customers ?
I don't have a lot of respect for iSheeps - they're generally little lambs being led to the slaughter with wallets held in front, and I'm just a bit wary that this is a company that takes this into account :silly:.
Having said that, I have ordered one - it's the kind of case I'm looking for, so I'm going to take a chance. Will review as soon as it arrives (and also comment on speed of production & delivery). They claim that they'll be shipping the first ones by Friday, but I assume these will be a batch that they've pre-made and it'll be to people who just happen to have ordered what they predict will be the most popular format...
Probably gonna end up keeping treegloo. Treegloo looks slightly nicer. Also has a yellow cloth inside to protect the screen.
I'd be all for Portenzo if they had a composition book style for the Nexus 7. I'd also like a better warranty.

I emailed too. Heard back today that there will not be a composition case. Bummer! I'm looking at GT 7.7 cases now since the dimensions are similar. May give Zenus a look.
I have a Kayscase coming as well as screen protector. There's also a chance I'll stop there. I can get a little case crazy. You should have seen me with my now sold iPad. I was obsessed.
Would like to see a better design, with magnetic strip enabled rather than a $10 added on feature.
too bad no grey cover.
I can't make up my mind between treegloo and portenzo.

Note 2 Flip Case - Genuine or fake?

Hey Guys,
I just bought myself a Samsung flip cover, although it looks genuine, im a bit skeptical and would like to know what you guys think based on the photos. Also, the first time i had it on the flip cover wasnt fully sitting on the screen, however, now after a few hours its alright. Moreover, the edge of the flip cover doesnt have that rubber coating that can be seen on the S3 flip cover. I could've bought it from the samsung store but i found it a bit cheaper from this other phone shop. Anyways, ive posted all the photos so hope i get some opinions. Cheers.
Heres an additional photo of the box. Im not sure if it makes any difference but it says that it was manufactured on 2013.03.12 and Model Number : EFC-1J9FWEGSTD
Don't Worry

It looks real enough to me. I have the grey version and an orange version from Samsung and both of them are the same as yours including the packaging they came in. There is no rubber thing on the version for the Note II and mine didn't feel like it fit flush either at first but after a few days in it should mold perfectly to it.

Actually i was surprised as to why it wouldn't sit flush on the screen considering i never had this issue with the genuine flip cover for the S3. I bought this for like $17.70 compare that to the $40 price tag from the official samsung store and its a big win. Anyways, thanks alot for your input.

To be honest many fakes aren't actually fake but just defective Samsung products that people take and sell cheap on ebay or Amazon. So if it had an nfc sticker and looks good to you then that price is great.

OEM batt cover

i need to ppick up a new oem batt cover for a note 2 from t mobile in titanium grey. can any one suggest a good, reliable, not too expensive source? i've looked ono amazon but i think most are cheap plastic knock offs and i dont want any reception issues. i need it asap thanks guys.
oh a local guy has one but wants $35 i think thats a bit much??
Amazon is probably your best alternative source. The cheap plastic is fine for radio reception since plastic does not interfere with radio reception The issue with the cheapy covers, it may not include the NFC chip/receiver that the OEM has. The NFC antenna is not in the phone or battery, but on the cover for the GN2.
If you don't use NFC, then it's not an issue.

I've ordered 5 of them so far from Amazon/Ebay. Only 1 has been authentic. Most of them are knock-offs with bad paint jobs.
