Hi all,
At home I have an Apple Airport router. There a two 2TB drives connected with that router so I can acces these drives troughout my network.
The drives are stored with music, photo's, movies, etc.
The problem I'm facing is the connection to those drives from my Galaxy S i9000.
Is the a program or app avaliable with which I can address my 2 drives from my phone?
Much appreciated.
Cool

Anybody know if there is a way of connecting bluetooth on the XDA
(Has been answered quite a few times)
No, you cannot connect any accessories to the XDA, because it only has an SD card slot, and even this slot takes only SD memory cards and not the much more versatile SD-io cards.
The USB port, the only other hope, only does usb in 'slave mode'. This means it can be a device towards a computer, but it can't play the role of computer ('master') towards other 'slave' devices.
Bluetooth
Yes I use the Jabara Bluetooth wireless headset with excellent results. It does require plugging in an adapter which hangs off the phone from the mic jack, but it is well designed and works great. For me the extra equipment is not a problem since it sits on the car seat most often.

Where to by the Jabara Bluetooth headset ?
www.jabra.com
Hi guys! Thanks for your valued labours! I know these are boring questions to you, but.......
Are there any chinks of light in the 'Bluetooth tunnel'?
Is there any possibility that in the future the sd port could be modified to sd/io?
Could an sd/io slot from another PDA be modified to fit in place of the sd or are there other reasons why this won't work?
And finally, will the upgrades mentioned on xda-developers.com work over here (GB)? And will they really allow me to connect wifi to my laptop, thus allowing me to use my XDA as a modem?
Sorry I'm so technically challenged.
bluetooth on xda using jabra connection?
Can you actually active sync o2 xda and the desktop pc
using bluetooth jabra connection? I mean using the
new Jabra free speak for pocket pc phone on O2xda
and then active sync with your desktop pc with the bluetooth
adaptor on th desktop pc and then active sync.....does that work?
Has anyone try that? That might be the answer for bluetooth on
o2 xda?? 8) or just not possible?
For obvious reasons, the number one being that the jabra connects to the headset connector on the phone, it can not be used for anything but a headset.
internet surfing on Xda using desktop high speed connection
So there is no way to use bluetooth on O2 xda with the desktop.
But you can synchronise the xda and desktop and then surf
the internet on O2xda using desktop's high speed internet connection.
Also it is faster and cheaper then using GPRS on the xda. Only thing
is why would you want to do that when you can use desktop.
Furthermore you need a very long connecting cable to move about
the house unless you can find a way to hookup bluetooth....which I am still searching for a way to do it. Maybe the new version of o2 xda or similar products will have bluetooth incorporated...or is there one out there now? I would be glad to find out.
Hey all, is it possible to use my Galaxy S and it's USB cable to connect directly to xbox live? It's one of them gay ol' Xbox's that doesn't have wifi.
No, not with usb, but you could use the wifi tethering on your galaxy and get an ethernet wireless bridge for your xbox. I've done that with a mifi so galaxy tethering should work

I've actually used the Wifi tethering app for root users and just enabled that and was able to play with it nothing else required. Your phone does get hot and make sure you have a fast strong connection

Hello fellow galaxy mini lovers...
There is a satellite tv service offered via the 3G network of my service provider which allows me to view live sports events via My phone browser for a reasonable fee of course e.g euros .. Football etc
What am looking for is for a way to mirror whats being displayed on my phone to a pc or tv via the usb cable i hv if its possible... Wifi too aint bad but i hv a feeling a usb connection will offer better quality viewing than a wifi connection since am only.interested in live sporting events.... Any ideas on how i can pull this off with best quality in mind ?

The mini does not have hdmi out.. so you can't watch videos from your mini on your tv by just connecting a cable..
I have a high speed wired Internet connection at work, and would like to be able to connect to it with my N7. I bought the usb 4.0 dangle for my desktop, and can connect fine but can't figure out how to share the internet connection. I think I need to run some software on my N7? There seems to be a lot of discussion about tethering a windows laptop to a cellphone to share the cellphone's data connection, but not much about going in the other direction. Any help appreciated.

Try searching for "USB tether" Google Play. There's more than a few free apps.

I'm not looking for usb tether. I'm looking to tether the nexus 7 to windows 7 over bluetooth 4.0. The only potential solution I've found is "open garden," but I'm a bit worried about security.

I think that's the only application for your exact need...if I come across any others I'll post here and let you know.
Or you could buy a cheap Wifi router? Bluetooth has very low transfer speeds. Max speed is 25mbps and that's probably on top of each other.
There is software on the net that turns your PC into a router and spits out internet over wifi. I had to use this in a hotel with wired only connections.
If your trying time avoid wifi for some reason... good luck. Bluetooth is a pain to setup but I'm.sure there are apps for it somewhere.

Can't use a wifi router because they detect it and shut off the connection.
Open garden works perfectly, but some programs including k-9 mail don't think there is an Internet connection. Have to manually sync (which works). I've seen some suggestions that if I reinstall and set up k9 with the open garden connection it might work. When I get time I'll post results.

Would something like a ZTE MF60 mobile hotspot work? it's a 3g wifi router, I use one with my N7 at work or out and about very successfully.
The downside is you wouldn't be using the works high speed connection but your own 3g connection which obviously you'd have to pay for.
This is not bluetooth, just USB, but maybe it can meet some of your needs.

Possibly talking about connectify? I use it and it works well.
Hi, I don't have wI-fi as I've just moved and am using a usb dongle for internet on my laptop, is there any way I can use said laptop as a "router" to download big apps on my phone to save on my 3g limit? Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers

If your laptop has Windows 7 you can use an app called Connectify that allows you to create a hot spot on your laptop. Then you can use Wi-Fi to connect to your laptop.
Another option is to use an reverse tethering app. Search here in general Android forum.

If you are running Windows and your laptop internet is from lan cable, you use internet sharing from lan to your wireless adapter.
As previous post, its alot easier using connectify,,,
