I've had this issue before on the stock rim. I'd just reboot and it worked for me.

It's a flaw in the stock rom you'll either have to root and install another custom rom or restart the phone everytime it happens cuz htc hasn't fixed it yet. Or use any other music app except the native one.

Hey all, I'm having some static when playing music via the stock player through my car's Bluetooth. When using mixing I don't get it though, anyone else experiencing this?
It's a 2010 mazda3 if that helps...
Sent from my HTC Vivid that wants some perma root
i have an aftermarket kenwood touchscreen stereo in my g35. i stream pandora all the time without any issues.

Yeah I have a JVC head unit and I have no problems streaming google music in my BMW

2010 mazda 3 here as well. Try turning down the volume on your phone and turning up the volume of the car stereo. I was getting some distortion or clipping recently and that fixed it for me.
Yeah like I said its only occuring on the stock player, I will use google music or mixing the majority of the time without any problems. Just kind of bothersome since I love the stock player's widget

I get the same thing, using the stock player or slacker... the same thing was happening on my htc inspire and when i switched to cyanogenmod on that phone it fixed the issue. This phone cannot be perm rooted yet so that option isnt available. Do you know of any players that wont experience this problem?
Has anyone who possess the HTC One encounter an issue with bluetooth headset/car bluetooth unit which the music does not stop while a phone call is coming in and you are answering it?
If so, how do you fix that issue?
Thanks.
I listen to music on and off all day and haven't had a problem. Have you tried restarting the phone? What rom are you using? Which music app?

Restarting the phone does not help. I have this problem with both stock rom and custom roms. I use Poweramp and Stitcher and they both have problems.
Try the stock music app just to test the functionality...
If you were going to use a vivid purely for music in a car, airplane mode, no SIM card, etc, what rom would you choose and why?
Basically, imagine you have a vivid to turn into an android answer to the iPod touch.

ROM for audio
I don't know how much the ROM would actually matter. I am on stock ICS, using Viper4Android and the sound is really good.
I would likely use stock rom, root to either underclock or overclock (depending if I plan to use it mobile or just keep it stationary forever), grab a 3 female-1micro usb (if it even works on this phone) and then use one to charge, one to use a usb/bluetooth game controller/remote, and the last for a usb-hdmi out.
I just did this last weekend.
I unlocked the bootloader, a rooted, then after installing titanium backup i deleted all att and phone, sms apk's.
There is still a few things i need to work on but it is working just fine as an MP3 player for my daughter
Are you connecting to the car or other device? I ask, since UMS tends to be a problem on CM 10.1 and CM 10.2. 3.5mm should be fine.
Hi guys
I was wondering if any of you have come across this? I can watch a song video/trailer/anything on YouTube on my macbook in HD and it will play perfectly via my wireless connection. However, same video, same wireless connection, and my HTC One YouTube app cannot play it. It just constantly freezes and locks up, making it unplayable. Very annoying considering it has a 1080p screen. It seems that it's just not buffering enough?
If you remove HD it will play perfectly. Does anyone else have this problem?
Any HD content is the same. For instance, as an example, this is the World's End HD trailer:
http://youtu.be/n__1Y-N5tQk
Plays fine on Macbook in 720p, stutters and freezes on my HTC One. What is the point in having a 1080p screen if you can't stream even a trailer over a wireless network?!
Anyone noticed this/got a solution? Other than the frankly bizarre 'watch later' which seems to decide whether to download a clip using some sort of black magic tied in with the moon phases?
Dude you posted in the wrong place.
Works fine for me. What are you running for a ROM. What app version of YouTube?
Tell us more information other than its not working properly.

I'm guessing it's either the phone's connection to the wifi network or (more probable) the YouTube app. Try clearing YouTube app data first and see if it works then. If not try uninstalling the app or uninstalling updates and then download it again. Don't have this issue myself so I'm taking random stabs in the dark for now, but this usually works for most apps.

I have an HTC one m7 sprint which i had running on a sense based rom for about a year. A couple of weeks ago I flashed Cyanogenmod 12 (not sense based) rom and everything worked fine.
The other day i was listeneing to music when the eveything just went quite!
At first i thought that the speaker was blown, but then I plugged in my earphones and there is still no sound coming out from them. My earphones work perfectly fine in other devices.
I can get a very faint sound coming through the earphones when playing videos using MX Player with S/W Audio decoding.
So this then lead me to think that there must be a hardwar audio decoder which has packed a sad?
But then when using voice calls i can hear through the speaker and the microphone works fine.
I have tried flashing back to my previous rom and even the stock rom but still no luck.
Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone have a posible solution?
I am no expert but...
I had problems with call sounds only.
Deleted the Google play services data and got it working.
Google play services update caused it.
Switched to lollipop ...newest 7.15 firmware.
Now okay.
