Flashed the GSM radio on a relatives Droid 3 so she can use it with At&t,I did it before but this time I got distracted and instead of erasing the build prop in Root Browser I erased the system folder, not the phone is stuck on the Motorola Dual Core screen.
Do I just flash the SBF or what?
Any help would be appreciated,thanks.
Just flash a ROM. It'll fix it.

I don't know about safestrap, but if you deleted your system folder all you have to do is flashing a ROM. After that you can install the radio again.

I don't know anything about safestrap cause I don't own the device, but I believe you can just install it and flash the ROM.

if you do not have safestrap or bootstrap installed
or you do have bootstrap, but can not get to to it
you have to flash .xml recovery image or one click 906.exe
boot to
AP Fastboot Flash Mode
with device off, hold volume down & power, to boot
0A.64 you can only use .906 1-click-sbf.exe + tools [10-8-2012]
0A.53 you can use 2.3.4/5.6.890.xml or 5.5.959.xml

after device is working again, root with motofail, install Safestrap 3
and make a nandroid backup, before you start deleting stuff

Well SBF 906 didnt work.It rebooted but was still stuck on the Dual Core logo...
Guess I will try the other stuff.
This is a good lesson that even if something seems easy and you have done it before to always pay attention or you could screw up royally.
you need to wipe data in android recovery, if it doesn't boot
Cant boot into recovery, pressing X + UP-DWN + Power ,it goes to the android with the triangle and exclamation and stays there.
Any suggestions?Thanks.
I was able to get into the recovery before, now I can not.
Android system recovery <3a>

Ahh thanks,I got to it.Wiped Data and cache.Still is stuck at the Dual Core logo.
I will try the other file out now to see if that works.
Is there a chance that the phone is messed up for good?
How exactly do I flash the other SBF zips?
Is there a tutorial somewhere,I searched but could not find much.
if AP Fastboot Flash Mode is version
0A.64 you can only use .906 1-click-sbf.exe + tools [10-8-2012]
I understand now.
How do I go about flashing the 53 SBF though? It is not an exe file like the 64 one.
first verify which phone you have
find label under battery is model XT862 if so
download/install moto drivers, download/install rsd Lite,
download 5.5.1_84_D3G-55Blur_Version.5.6.890.XT862.Verizon.en.US.xml
read how to use RSD Lite
charge battery, boot to AP Fastboot Flash Mode, use rsd lite

Hi
yesterday, had a problem with network
I factory reset the phone with the custom recovery, then decided to flash it with rsd lite and this firwmare that previously worked : CFC_signed_customer_8.7.1I-110_IFW-DE-31_RTEU.xml, but on step 3/11, it stops at failed flash moto boot.
I can flash a custom recovery in fastboot mode, but i stays on booting into recovery mode... during minutes and minutes when i try to boot into recovery
so my phone is unflashable in any way....
please help me
thx!
ps: im almost full in battery, just charged it before
Open the XML in the Fastboot Folder and delete the complete line that includes Motoboot. Save it and start RSD with the new Motobootfree XML.

Reboot into recovery by turning phone off and holding down the power button and volume down for about 5 sec. Choose recovery and install backup. If you didn't make a backup (shame on you). You will have to fxz the firmware and you will have a fresh new phone but will lose ALL data including pics and music etc.

Follow the links suggested above. Return to stock. The same version you are on now. Don't flash a different version.
Then I suggest respectfully that you read the stickies at the top of general section and learn a bit more before attempting more flashing.
The more you learn and understand.... The easier things will be and the less trouble you will have. Also might save you from bricking your phone doing something you shouldn't.
---------- Post added at 10:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:19 AM ----------
Also you can use fastboot to return to stock. Read this guide, and there's a return to stock section for you.

Hey,
I have a Moto X Play running stock 6.0.1, no root, no twrp and with the bootloader locked. So I have unlocked it, installed twrp and super su. So when I've finished installing super su, i've rebooted the phone and it's stuck at WARNING BOOTLOADER LOCKED. OK, I guess this may be a soft brick. I can get into twrp.
Shall I for example download cyanogenmod through the pc and flash it with twrp?
Thank you

Better Emergency Recovery Project
This project aims you to get a better "Emergency Recovery" than Huawei's own version since it does really not work as intended for everyone.
I've tested to get "Cyanogen Mod" Recovery to boot and it worked, but since i use M it didn't work quite to well. so i'll give you TWRP 3.0.2.0 version by xepeleato.
Why is this needed?
Well we all know TWRP isn't always doing it's thing when it tries to format the system and then Stock Huawei Emegency Recovery will pop up. With This Package it'll replace the stock recovery2 and give you TWRP instead, so you can easily fix your system to boot up without flashing the need of a pc to regain access to stock recovery(1).
Do notice that it'll take some time for Recovery2 to boot up. (while CM) recovery took faster to boot it won't stop TWRP from working.
It's stable and tested that it works, instead of using fastboot to recoveph your device you can now do it from the phone itself.
Download custom recovery2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20716
Download NOTE: this is not a full system image. It does not contain ANY files! It is just to restore your system partition. Since it's faster than formating. http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=20717
Installation instructions:
Download CustomEmergencyRecovery2.zip
If downloading from computer push files to sdcard
Flash the zip.
If you don't belive me. Backup your system. Start formating system when it's formating reboot the device. It'll end up in twrp recovery. It'll take max 1 minute. Enjoy

Yes I know that but in order to check whether it's working you don't need to format system. Just go to bootloader and then press volume up button. This will open Erecovery (twrp in case you have flashed zip file given in this thread).

Man because I'm rather new to Huawei devices. It's my first Huawei device and if Huawei keeps having the same signal strength I have with this phone ill stick with Huawei. I know development is bad for kirinsoc (which usually doesn't bother me at all)since in my case I rather have a stock modified system which I can rely on. (even on my previous snapdragon devices such as G3 and s4) i always used stock firmware even if a stable cm was released. As long as I can root it and back up my system. Get bloat removed I'm most likely happy. But I'll learn about Huawei soon. Also I didn't know you could boot into emergency recovery from bootloader but thanks for telling.

Well to be honest. You most likely just need to remove all system files. And -rm rf option works well in that case.

Sorry that was the only way I knew [emoji14]
And yes I tested it on "stock" which has my own modification.
Also I created this because if I wouldn't have a pc nearby and i mess up the system. I could easily restore it. Unless I don't have the restore image system file (which is just a empty system.img) which is used to fix the system in case it is being broken. I could release a stock flash able system (which I already have) but I got no plans for it tbh. Could be good though to have.

I'm going to see if we can make it possible to get a similar method (as stock emui recovery) so we can download a system firmware trough wifi it is a long shot. But it's most likely possible (but will take time) and there's actually no progress yet. It's an idea. But we'll hope it could be possible.

Hello, I am using a rooted kindle fire 5th gen on 5.3.1 OS. Recently, I attempted to install a custom recovery to no avail. My problem now, however, is I have messed up the ability to access kindle's default recovery mode. I have attempted to use the button method on startup, reboot in recovery with apps such as titanium backup, rom manger, quick reboot, and I have tried using commands in terminal emulator app. Every time however my fire gets stuck at the white amazon logo on start up. I left it there for nearly 24 hours and still never booted into recovery. Each time I am forced to manually power down and turn back on for regular startup. The kindle doesn't give me any problems other than I cant access recovery mode! I would I would welcome any suggestions and greatly appreciate some help. Thank you and Happy New Year!!

this will boot your device to the recovery instead of flashing the recovery to the device. You can use the recovery just the same as if it were installed.

So, I installed supersu zip on my twrp recovery and now my phone won’t boot and the screen just starts with N/A and the moto screen flashes and won’t boot up. I can’t find any moto e4 plus (xt1775 owens) firmware anywhere and any help would be appreciated. (7.1.1)

You probably need to flash a no-verity-opt-enctypt.zip and retry booting.
