Hey guys, I recently flashed the Cyanogenmod 10.1 Nightly rom onto my galaxy ace s5830. I tried to switch on the wifi, it said 'Turning on' but did not go any further. Everything else is working fine... Please help! How should I fix this?

At the last two days, I can't connect my phone with PC, so I can neither add or get files.
The worst part is that when i put it in Download mode, even Odin can't see it to flash the rom again.
Also i can't get superuser permision (I've allready flash it again).
I try several cables and PCs and the problem still exist.
When I change mod, to Samsung kies or Media player the phone working but not if i want it to use like usb storage.
How can i fix this problem ?
I have a SGS with:
Stock 2.3.6 (JW5)
Semaphore 2.7.4sc
XWJW5-Boeffla-Mod-V4.1-Stock

i'm having the same issue with on Slim Bean 3.1. I went back to SGS ICS rom and it worked fine. Have also tried CM10 and had same issues as well. What a pain!
Tried everything and nothing seems to recognize the phone as plugged in...
One question, are you using JB? Because some JB roms have the USB connection problem.
Or are you using ICS/GB?

Thanks Kreatonn & Superuser, will try to change my battery first.
My X8 works well without random reboot when I switch off my data connection.
I've been running CM 10.1 on my 7310 for a couple of months - it's slow, but it does the job.
Today it started misbehaving more than usual, so I rebooted. It's spent the afternoon rebooting itself about once every five minutes - freeze and hard reboot (Samsung splash screen). I tried different versions of CM and AOKP to figure out if it was hardware or software, no change.
I wiped it and flashed CM 9 nightlies a couple of hours ago, and got the same behaviour. After some googling I found aLogrec and turned it on. As soon as it boots and tries to start recording the logcat, it hard reboots. I figure the onboard flash storage is borked - is there anything I can do? I can't even get it to boot into Recovery, it just loops forever.
I'm hoping someone out there can give me some ideas before I go out and spend on a Nexus 7..
Have you tried to see what happens if you install official ICS with Odin?

You could see if odin still recognize it and fish a stock rom. But by the sound of it I think you're sol.

Odin recognised it and has flashed the right ICS official, but it just sits on a glowing Samsung logo.
Odp: [Q] Is my Tab dead?
I will wipe all data/cache from recovery and see if that works, but I'm not so experienced and you should wait for someone with proper knowledge to give you advice But you just might give it a try
First thing I tried, but thanks for the suggestion

I just applied the Honeycomb 3.2 shipped image using Odin and it seems to be working. Going to attempt to reapply CWM and flash an ICS build now..
Glad to hear it worked out for you.

It's been stable on the CM10.1 M2 build all day. I don't know why the official 4.0.4 firmware didn't work, but I'm glad I tried 3.2 before giving up.
Thanks again to everyone who offered suggestions.

Be a ninja and paste the link to the rom you used. I've borked my upgrade too. I can get in to loki for oden to send the rom, just need the rom that will work with oden.
Thanks,
R

I flashed the 4.0.4 from here and it didn't work, so I tried the 3.2 and restored it to shipped state using Odin. After that I rooted and reinstalled CWM with Odin, and then flashed the CM 10.1 M2 build from the Development forum here the usual way (copy to SDcard, reboot recovery).
Good. I should have mentioned you have to start with gingerbread. Could have saved you a step.

Does this really work? Had the same problem, wiped, cleaned, resetted, flashed over and over and still buttons didn't work
Now back on annoying stock rom so would be so happy to come back to the world of custom roms

I had the same problem but it took a while to start working again. Reboot to see if its solved. I use Resurrection remix OS 5.8.5 from maclaw and it included an option for a Nav bar on screen.
Hope it helps
