Does this really work? Had the same problem, wiped, cleaned, resetted, flashed over and over and still buttons didn't work
Now back on annoying stock rom so would be so happy to come back to the world of custom roms

Hi bros
I am using Galaxy. TAB P1000GSM, I don't remember exactly the using history, but one day after flash new firmwares my TAB got into the bootloop state until now.
I had tried to flash any kind of firmwares with any solutions which I found on XDA included the Overcom Experience.
With any Gingerbread and newer firmware, my Tab was flashed completely without errors but always got into the bootloop state.
Finally I flash a 2.2 stock firmware, and after flash completed without errors, the Tab boot normally to the setting screen, but the touch screen and all soft button did not work, except the power and volume buttons.
I there anyone got experience with this problem? Pls give me some advices to save me Tab? You will save my life:thumbup:
Sorry for my bad english!

when in recovery mode use the up/down volume to scroll and use the Home button on the screen to select. Clear the data then clear the cache. Then go to advanced and clear dalvik cache.
Thanks! But my Tab in recovery mode can be used with volume key, but both home key and power key do not work!

you sure you have P1000 and not P1000N or P1000L (check the back of your tab)
Ofcourse I sure that. It a P1000 GSM 16GB version!

No, I mean there are two sets of ROMs/kernel (drivers is in kernel)
one for the P1000 and one for P1000L/N
but if you are sure you are P1000 and already flashing P1000 kernel/ROM, then no, I cannot recommend a P1000L/N kernel to use.
Unless you also have doubt about your P1000.

I used Overcom method already, the Recovery worked well, but the Tab went into the bootloop state.

Hello XDA,
I just registered, and I know that I have to search first. But the New Experience thread has like 117 pages, I don't exactly remember.
So that isn't quite gonna work.
Here's my problem:
I followed the instructions to install, but my phone is not booting, it shows: INDONESIA CYANMOBILE SQUADZONE
Sometimes the screen goes black, then I press the power button and it turns back on.
Does anybody have an idea of what I have done wrong? I installed a new rom before but I did that using ODIN and stuff..
I installed this rom from 2.3.6 for Galaxy Mini.
Thanks in advance,
Sanderth.
EDIT: I restarted the phone, it showed the logo of New Experience and did the same thing as before. Then I wiped everything again.. Still waiting for it to boot, should take 10 minutes but I don't think it will work this time..

Well I back upped too... But it wouldn't boot, that's why I decided to flash a new stock rom, I wanted a clean phone anyways
Well my phone just booted again, I've got my stock Android back. I will wait flashing to 2.3.6 since I really want another ROM... Flashing to 2.3.6 is useless if I'm gonna flash it to another anyways.. Can anybody recommend a good ROM for Galaxy Mini?

I do have exactly the same problems on my deodexed version. And until now no clue why. So let's see if another member finds or knows a solution.
this is what i found on for ICS on a similar issue
"- Download "Terminal Emulator" app from market
- open it
- type into the command:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/imei/keystr
sync
Go to home, force close your terminal app, shut your screen off, and when your turn it back on your lock screen should be there."

JB does not start. Hangs at the boot screen
Hi folks,
After I installed the official JB (from fantastic Eybee) the system announces sometime to check for software updates. If you allows that, after a short time you get the message that the system has been changed. And then the system restarts and remains at the boot screen stand. This happened to me 3 times. After that only helps a full wipe to Android running again.
I also get the message that the system has been modified but phone does not reboot. May be you need to clean install the rom again.

Eybee uses android.policy.jar from XXLSZ, try my Custom Rom (with the android.policy.jar from XXLSC) and check if you have lockscreens with this one (until now no 4-way-reboot, because I didn't implement it yesterday).
