Just wondering which one between these 2 roms is the most stable, or provide the best battery life...
probably cici cause cm7 has less bugs than cm10.1,10.1 i still new and in major development..

Hi All,
Would love to know what you guys feel is the most stable rom for general everyday normal phone use? I like having apps on the sd but thats about my only needed feature?
Which one do you think runs the fastest, has best battery perfomance and doesn't bug/crash much?
Cheers chaps
best battery with [email protected]: 2.1 rom with link2sd (& stock with quarx kernel for oc?)
good battery with best performance with app2sd: 2.2.1 (i prefer Utopia)
good performance with app2sd & a lot features: 2.3.5 (i prefer Swiftdroid)
i'm currently using Utopia RC2 and its very fast & stable (4me faster & more stable than swiftdroid), but i'm limited to few roms due to my need of tun-support)
I am using utopia too (rc3) and it works great for me. Very stable, fast and with good performance at stock clocking. So its battery friendly too

+1 for Utopia.
miroslav_mm works very hard to improve his ROM. It started from the solid base of Swiftdroid's Littlebrother and just keeps getting better.
A great all-round performer.
Utopia, any doubt???
Swiftdroid. It's very stable to me, and i don't have to charge battery two times in a day (it holds for min 1.5 day)
I use Swiftdroid but I have the time to charge it. The battery level is very unstable, somewhat getting from 20% to 80% in a few seconds during charging. I just use it for the performance
I use AOSP V3. The battery is great, although in the latest release the performance is bad.
Which one do you find better and faster? Which one is more stable? Please, share your opinions and feel free to comment what you like (or dislike) in one or the other.
Owain's MIUI tweaks
WajkIUI
Thanks!
I choose MIUI + Owain's and Higgsy's tweaks for the sole reason that I want less bloatware and the ability to choose the tweaks that I need my self. WiUi is also very good especially for those who want les hassle when flashing new builds, and only flash once.
Performance wise they are about the same, because of course, WiUi uses the same tweaks. Maybe there are more minor tweaks, but it's not noticeable enough to make much difference in real life use
Owains for me - not tried WIUI yet but we will see in the future.
i was using zeus 6.39 but now using cm7 based boype's rom .
i have many Q in my mind regarding CM7
1.is every android phone is cm7 based? if not then how to check that?
2. is it have sound problem while in call?coz caller is not listing proper voice of mine?
3.is camera quality is lower than stock camera?
4.what is drowback of cm7 in LOB???
if I'm not mistaken cm7 based builds are Android 2.3.7 and stock based are 2.3.4 and there are equal amounts of drawbacks between the two imho but cm has more customability.... if you want a fully stable rom is best you stay with a rooted stock...
Maybe I'm lucky but I don't face the sound problem.... and camera difference is almost negligible to me, I use the camera alot for work, and found little difference except that its slightly slower when clearing up taken pics but that might also be cos of the modded img size
The only big difference if you're looking on a global scale would be battery life... Zeus, Suppressed and Lemmings roms are excellent in this department, boype mod and cici and mooke has the best battery among all the cm 7 that I've tried.... of course this is just my opinion....
just sayin....
Is there really any deference between android versions in battery life?
And in your opinion what is the best ROM for battery life at all (including GB)?
Well everyone uses their own phone accordingly. I currently use AOKP ROM. I do not have a data plan. If i use my phone only for calls or messages, i cant last thru 2-3 days. If i play games or whatever, then a single full charge only gets me through 1 day.
Battery Life is very dependant on how you use your phone so there really is not a best ROM for battery life
I meant that for the same usage which ROM (or android version) gives better battery life?
hmmm... I guess the you get best on CM7, which is Gingerbread.
I used lacoste 4.1.2 jellybean Rom . I have about 1-2 days on WiFi and average use . It can be considered as a battery saving Rom . Have not tested out other jellybean Rom yet besides that

Afaik, most battery friendly ROM is CM7 nightly #146 (GB ROM). Somebody recently posted download link for it. If you can't find it, download one of these, it will do the job. In general, avoid Sense ROMs if you need good battery life.

+1 for Gingerbread 3 days battery, over ICS 2 days with light use.
that's with tbklakes stock GB rom verses tbklakes stock ICS rom, if i oc, scraping 2 days lol.
Addy
GB 3 Days
ICS 2 Days
With normal use
i think the best battery life is for gingerbread.
Gingerbread? mmm
with my phone, I had a quite good feeling about Jeally bean.. if you use a lot of data/3G traffic, gingerbread is not the best

Ok, i want to be quick.
I know there's no a best rom, or that one rom is better than the other, but when it comes to battery, there are few better roms..
So i have 2 questions for you guys.....
What custom rom for our ace has the best battery life?
Which rom, CM 10.1 (WAYLAND_ACE) JB 4.2.2 BETA 7 or AOSP ICS FINAL 4.0.4 MACLAW, has better battery life?
Thanks in advance....
Battery life still depends on what each person does with their phone so what one person may say wont be the same for the next. Your only asking about two roms so my suggestion would be to try them both and figure out which one gives you the best battery life for you own specific uses.]
