Ok, i want to be quick.
I know there's no a best rom, or that one rom is better than the other, but when it comes to battery, there are few better roms..
So i have 2 questions for you guys.....
What custom rom for our ace has the best battery life?
Which rom, CM 10.1 (WAYLAND_ACE) JB 4.2.2 BETA 7 or AOSP ICS FINAL 4.0.4 MACLAW, has better battery life?
Thanks in advance....
Battery life still depends on what each person does with their phone so what one person may say wont be the same for the next. Your only asking about two roms so my suggestion would be to try them both and figure out which one gives you the best battery life for you own specific uses.]

Which one is the best Rom/Kernel combination for battery life? I am currently using latest cognition build but I am not happy with the batter life. Any advice?

Their really is no answer to your question. Its all opinion. Cause not all phones, rom, and kernels elect are the same/equal. They are all different and they perform differently. So the best thing to do is test them out for yourself and find the one that meets your needs.
Gingerbread ROMs has more battery drain than Froyo based ones.. wats your battery life?

I agree. I get much better battery life on GB roms then Froyo.
Hi guys,
I've been using MIUI Rom for a while now, I'm really annoyed with the battery life and few issues with WiFi. Can you'll please suggest a custom ROM with high battery life and no connectivity issues like Tethering/WiFi etc.. ?
Temasek's ROM looks amazing, can anyone point out the issues with this ROM please and any major flaws(if any?)
Thanks
im testing it right now with vadonka's last kernel and i cant seem to find anything wrong with it, and i can asure you that battery life is amazing compared to most roms. but dont forget, kernel matters a lot more for battery life than the rom itself...
Is there really any deference between android versions in battery life?
And in your opinion what is the best ROM for battery life at all (including GB)?
Well everyone uses their own phone accordingly. I currently use AOKP ROM. I do not have a data plan. If i use my phone only for calls or messages, i cant last thru 2-3 days. If i play games or whatever, then a single full charge only gets me through 1 day.
Battery Life is very dependant on how you use your phone so there really is not a best ROM for battery life
I meant that for the same usage which ROM (or android version) gives better battery life?
hmmm... I guess the you get best on CM7, which is Gingerbread.
I used lacoste 4.1.2 jellybean Rom . I have about 1-2 days on WiFi and average use . It can be considered as a battery saving Rom . Have not tested out other jellybean Rom yet besides that

Afaik, most battery friendly ROM is CM7 nightly #146 (GB ROM). Somebody recently posted download link for it. If you can't find it, download one of these, it will do the job. In general, avoid Sense ROMs if you need good battery life.

+1 for Gingerbread 3 days battery, over ICS 2 days with light use.
that's with tbklakes stock GB rom verses tbklakes stock ICS rom, if i oc, scraping 2 days lol.
Addy
GB 3 Days
ICS 2 Days
With normal use
i think the best battery life is for gingerbread.
Gingerbread? mmm
with my phone, I had a quite good feeling about Jeally bean.. if you use a lot of data/3G traffic, gingerbread is not the best

I am having the same problem with my ace. I know it's old, but I used to get 2~3 days use out of it before this new rom I just flashed. Now I'm lucky to get more than 1/2 a day. I've used betterbatterystats and I think it's the Google Play Services...the phone was awake 100%..it wouldn't go into deep sleep. I tried disabling then just uninstalled it. I'm going to try reading up on the BBS to see if I can understand how to fix this..if not I'll have to find another rom. But I really like this one...
This is what is giving me the problem,

Any suggestions for a rom that is lite and stable, not too flashy, that will give me a bit more life for my ace?
My model is GTS5830D
Hi,
As for the battery drain issues, you can go through the thread given below to see how you can improve battery life & performance of ace. @Venomous Viper 119 has provided us with an incredible guide. As for the script, go with Pure Performance X and I guarantee you won't regret it.

Pure Performance X for Galaxy Ace
As for the lite and stable rom, go for AOSP Gingerbread for Cooper by @SpaceCaker. It is incredibly fast, stable and not too flashy. Try Pure Performance X with this rom and you have a beast in your hand.

Hi! I am on stock unrooted. I want to try a custom rom. How is battery life, performance and overall stability. On stock i have 4 and a half hours of screen time. Cm based rom will perform better or the same at battery life? I want some reviews please. Sorry for my english.
Hi there!
Well, you can check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/help/stock-roms-custom-roms-t2920959
I must say though, battery life on stock roms are better then custom roms, but it really depends on your daily usage on your phone. I'm using CM11 Infected by _infected as my daily driver at the moment, and my SOT is always around 4 hours++
