[Q] Droid 4 fastboot - Motorola Droid 4

How do I get my moto droid 4 in fastboot mode? Thanks. And just to give you guys an idea of what you're dealing with here, Androids For Dummies is too advanced for me. lol

Hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously for a few seconds when the phone is off. When you release the keys you should be in fastboot mode

Can't access bootloader screen

I have been trying to root my nexus one for a while.
However, I can't access bootloader screen.
I've tried holding the trackball and power button already.
Thank you in advance
Power off.
Hold volume down.
Press power while still holding volume down.
Release power after about 3 seconds.
Then release volume down.
You can toggle between boot, recovery, etc, with the menus.
On screen menus will tell you how to navigate.
Get familiar with it, before you try and root, etc.

Battery pulls | bootloops | black screen of death?

I have never owned a nexus device. But I am always flashing new ROMs on my note 2.
When things go south (bootloops, black screen of death) I can pull the battery from the device, boot into recovery and move on.
What is the solution to these type of issues for devices with sealed batteries?
Thanks!

You hold the power button for about 15 second and your device reboots
I think you hold Vol - and Power

This combo would take you either to fastboot mode or recovery. Not the exact battery pull outcome that the OP is asking

My bad. Haven't had a rooted Nexus in over a year
On the Nexus 7 (2013) (should probably be the same for the Nexus 6), all button combos you need to know are as follows:
- Power & Volume Down (while off) takes you to fastboot.
- Power & Volume Up (while off) takes you to recovery.
- Hold down power for a while (On/partially on/frozen/wherever) forces a shut down.

Moto Razr I Wont go in to fastboot.

Hi guys I am trying to gt into fast boot to unlock the boot loader of the razr i but it just won't
when I hold them two down the Motorola logo flashes screen goes black then the logo comes back and dosnt do anything. It then continues to turn on when I take my fingers off the 2 buttons (power on and volume down). Im am on android 4.1.2 if that helps. If I have missed anything that would help just let me know.
Thanks in advance
When the phone is off hold power and volume down till it vibrates. When it vibrates take your finger off ONLY the power button. You have to continue holding volume. Then you should be in fastboot mode.

How long are you holding the buttons? The lights will flash for several seconds before booting to the bootloader.
Have you tried doing it with the device powered off?

Hold the Power button till the screen goes black, then release it & quickly press & hold the Power button & Volume Down to get into the bootloader
im holding the power button only for as long as i can and yet nothing. The capacitive buttons blink and nothing, no vibrations black screen. Just the boot image

Well, I have no idea then.... The phone should turn off after holding the Power button for ~10 seconds while the capacitive buttons blink... For how long are trying to turn off the phone? I would suggest you to let it in bootloop over night, so the battery gets drained & then try to go into bootloader in the morning when charging [emoji4]
I'm having the same issue. My volume down button barely works and when it does it's temperamental. I've done the same and had the same issues with the blinking lights. I've let the battery drain out and tried to redo it to no avail. ADB and Fastboot commands don't work either since it doesn't boot up far enough for the adb wait-for-device commands either, so I think mine is fully bricked. I have a Nexus 4 which I'm using but it would be nice to get my M7 working again as a backup/mess around phone
