[Q] I9305 Won't boot new rom - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Hi. My galaxy s3 4g I9305 OPTUS AUSTRALIA. has been rooted cwm installed. I have tried to install Xtreme.v6.1 and supreme rom 5.0. Neither would fire up after multiple attempts. I have wiped delvic cache, cache partition, wipe data/ factory reset, battery stats and fix permissions.
both roms load (flash) sucessfully then I get the samsung reboot screen and after that a pulsing samsung logo which stays for hours. can any one tell me what I may have missed? Flash is done via cwm install zip from sd card.

Try to do the 3 wipes...

I would try TWP recovery, as big as CWM is I have found many bugs and such with it and so far absolutely zero with TWP. Is it giving you any errors when trying to flash via CWM? Read the text because it may just be warnings and install anyway. There are also logs you can upload (go to advanced settings I believe)

[Q] Help! Galazy S stuck on boot load screen after Cyanogen flash

I've been trying to load the Cyanogen 7.1 update for my Galaxy S, and have been following the instructions on the Cyanongen Forum.
I firstly installed the Clockwork mod from the instructions on the sticky at the top of the cyanogen galaxy s forum
I then did a Nandroid backup, formatted the system, data & cache partitions then rebooted. The phone didn't reboot, so I followed some other instructions, and also wiped the Dalvik cache. The phone still didn't reboot.
Any ideas how I can now load up my original ROM? Clockworkmod is installed which is reassuring, but it wont seem to load anything up. Do I need to wipe any cache etc, before restoring up my original ROM?
Update;
I've tried to restore everything (except SD) from the recovery mode, but it's still not booting up. Help!

hm you formatted /system after installing rom, if i understood correctly?? That means there isn't any rom in the phone to boot up
just boot to recovery and flash CM7 again..this time without formatting anything..or if you want to go back to Samsung sick rom, you'll have to use Odin/Heimdall because it uses totally different flash layout (you'll have to use re-partition).

I'm pretty sure you have to have USB debugging on before doing a backup aswell

tried that many times but still stuck at samsung logo
any other suggestions?
Have Same Problem Brother
mee too got same problem any help would be appreciated..!
How long did you wait. I found that after installing a new rom or factory wipe that it would take up to 5 minutes to boot. It would just sit at the samsung logo with a pulsing glow for ages.
Maybe you just need to give it more time?
What tools and packages did you use?

Wipe cache, do a factory reset, wipe dalvik cache. If still stuck, it looks like a bad flash/kernel problem. Try flashing it again.
Finally succeed
It's work for me, I simply entered my galaxy S3 into recovery, make factory reset, wipe chache and then reboot and my S3 finally boot normally. Thank You all.
Make my thorough wipe as below when flashing a new ROM:
1) Wipe data
2) Wipe cache
3) Wipe dalvik cache
4) Format /system & /preload
5) Format internal sdcard (make sure you save anything you need before)
6) Flash ROM
7) Wipe cache again
8) Wipe dalvik cache again
9) Reboot
This way you ensure you flash your new ROM in a completely clean environment. Then when booting the new ROM, wait some time before saying it's stuck at the boot logo. As people already said, sometimes it takes a long time to display the setup screen (but should be less than 8 minutes in any case). I'm assuming you have CWM to do this; if you don't, try the equivalent in the stock recovery (but it doesn't have all these options), poweroff, boot in download mode, then flash using Odin.
ATTENTION: make sure you make the wipes using a brick-free kernel! Search the forums if you don't know what it is. If you don't, you may brick your phone. You should flash a brick-free kernel before anything, without any wipes (it can be done through Odin if you download a safe kernel in this format); then you are ready to go with the wipes and flashing a new ROM.
my j500h keeps on restarting just after displaying samsung logo. i have tried nearly everything but seem to be stuck on the same bootloop. any idea am so stressed up.

Problems after factory reset

I've majorly screwed up. I'm using a samsung galaxy ace s5830. After partioning my sd card I found that I couldn't root my phone since cwm was not allowing it. So I got frustrated and did a factory reset. Now my phone will not get passed the samsung intro and the blinking samsung sign. Please help
Reflash a rom with odin, it will wipe anything wrong (just remember to wipe data, wipe cache, and wipe dalvik cache)
Thanks will do so. can you shed some light as to how a simple factory reset got me into a boot loop

After wipe data/factory reset, bootloops can be solved by wiping cache and dalvik cache.
If something got messed in the kernel while trying to flash the root zip, then wiping everything will still keep an error, maybe that's what caused the bootloop, this is fixed with a fresh odin flash.
Check that your root zip is compatible and thay you use the correct recovery to flash it (sometimes it must be done through stock recovery, sometimes through cwm)

i9305 stuck on rom booting screen after flash

Was flashing my friends i9305 and now it wont boot any rom I flash... always gets stuck on the first boot screen until I take out battery.
I flashed CWM 6.0.4.7 using odin.
I have tried flashing several roms (CM 11, CM 10.1, PACman 4.3)... Each one will flash with no errors, then when I reboot after correct GAPPS it just gets stuck on the loading screen forever and won't boot up into ROM.
Wipe data/cache, wipe dalvik, wipe system > Install rom from zip, install GAPPS from zip > reboot (even here I wipe system/data/cache - still doesnt work).
Any ideas on why it won't load up the roms....

Well I figured it out... since it was never flashed or anything before (from stock rom)... I just went into the Mounts and Storage menu, and formated /cache /system /data manually and it finally worked.
Hope that helps

[Q] [Help] S3 Mini ALWAYS restarting

Hi guys.. I need help on my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini i8190.. I (think) did everything but nada..
Problem
My phone is always restarting, it gets in to the phone for a few seconds but then always restart.
It is rooted, with CWM Recovery touch 6.2.0.7.
What i have done
CWM Recovery
- Factory Reset
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Wipe Data
- Wipe Cache
*everytime i got into recovery mode, i noticed that the system is unmounted, is that normal?
In the recovery mode, it said that it was success but when i reboot system, still get the same latest phone condition with no change at all. It means the factory reset, and all the wiping did not work.
Odin
- Flash with stock ROM
- Install latest CWM recovery
- Install stock recovery
- Install Cyanogen
In the ODIN, it said that it was a success, still i get the same latest phone condition with no change at all. It means that all the process was not working.
I concluded that this might happens because the internal storage was very full, it has only 16 MB left (according to CWM when i try to backup on internal storage). And i think the only way is to factory reset, but as i mentioned before, i tried using CWM to factory reset but still go back to the latest phone condition.
I am looking forward for your help guys..
i have the same problem and tried also all the ways you mentioned.
this problem drives me crazy. please help guys
Have you tried using twrp instead, just a thought, & maybe clear out internal storage with file manager
