I've got the key-folio version, pretty much the same general design. It fits, the suction tape sticks to the soft touch plastic and so far my device seems pretty well protected. Even the keyboard has yet to leave a scratch being pressed against the screen and all.

Aluminum Metal Case

I received yesterday my protection for Leo. I share with you the results of this:

For shipping this protection:

Thanks for sharing; however you would have been better off posting in the Cases thread where we all go to see what's happening in the world of cases.
WB
Agree with above poster, can a mod fix this?
Nice case! ive also ordered 1 last week at PDAir, the 1 without a screen, so easy acces, but fewer protection. I am hoping its more solid so i can put it in my back pocket without getting a red face everytime i realize i accidently put it there...
When did you order it and did it took long (i am eager to get mine, but now hope is gone till monday or tuesday...)
I disagree.
The "Cases" thread is too long and too complicated for discussing any one specific case.
Anyway I ordered mine just a moment ago and would very much like to hear how quick was the shipment, how snug is the fit and how reassuring the neoprene feels
It's a shame they opted for a plastic screen protector instead of either a window-less aluminum door or a transparent cover that lets you work with the touchscreen.

mohasea,
How thick is the plastic cover over the screen?
Does the plastic cover flex?
Do you think the plastic cover would prevent the screen being cracked if dropped screen down on ummm concrete?

I totally agree, wish they had a solid aluminum front door instead of the window cut-out covered in plastic or the other option they have of no plastic window cut-out. I would order one now, even not having my Leo yet, just because the front door was solid aluminum.
I am going to contact PDair and see if they would leave a few front doors out of the cnc cutter and have a full cover aluminum
Would you like one too, Duperman ?
Thank you,
Monnie
I have ordered an open screen case despite it may not fully protect the screen. HD2 has a glass screen and it is hard enough against scratch as what has been in iphone.

Mine, the one without screen plastic, is supposed to arrive between now and Jan 27th next year...(sometime)
take care
Anyone got theirs yet?
Would love to see some detailed photos and a review of the case pros/cons
Thank you,
Monnie
I'm debating whether to go with their leather flip case or this aluminum case...
I got this case and immediatly wished there was no plastic screen on the front door. So, I held it over some boiling water for about 2 mins and and then used my thumb nail (not kidding it was easy) to pry the plastic from the metal. The whole lot peeled off easily, i replaced the foam into the case and BAM perfect case. (be careful not to rip the foam, but if you do it will still stick back. also the foam stretched out a bit but pushed back into shape no problem. TIP: Work from the front side of the case, wedge your nail into the seem and loosen it all the way around. If it starts to get tough again, hold it over steam for a while longer.
Also.. when the plastic was still inplace and the case door was closed, there would be random screen presses and that was not cool, however now that the plastic is out, i can leave the door closed, press when I want too, AND there is no random case presses
I know this sounds like a poor fix, but it worked awesome and it looks like it was SUPPOSED to come this way.
Now all i need is for my zag shield (front only) to show up and im perfectly protected (minus water damage dammit)
awesome case guys im not kidding. you dont have to put the nubbin on in the back either so it doesnt add much bulk to teh phone. good luck yo.
Got mine too and I use the black open faced aluminum for local use and insert the whole unit;
aluminum case and all into the Maxpedition "Rat" wallet for carrying on belts etc.... http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/...&idcategory=11
Like it alot....
FWIW
well, do not kill me if I say so .. but it is ugly as hell.
I do not say that it does not protect the phone, or the the finishing it's not ok .. but from a slim phone with a huge screen, it looks like a bullet proof brick with a screen.
The whole idea of an elegant smartphone it's gone.
Small question: what do you hate about the original leather case?
It is elegant, slim easy to use and protect the phone in normal use conditions or small accidents.
Capdase Alumor Metal Case
Bought this silicon w/ aluminium backcover case by CAPDASE in Hong Kong, adding a more "solid" feel over the pure silicon case. It comes with a CAPDASE screen protector as well.
http://www.mobimega.com/capdase-alumor-metal-case-htc-hd2.html
Beware that the silicon case may not glue well to the aluminum backcover (I think it's the factory problem) which may leave a small gap between them when you put the phone in. I have to apply some glue to fix that myself. Apart from the case is nice and not too costly.

Hi,
I am seriously thinking about ordering one for my Desire (A8181).
But what I'm not able to find, is how it works. I mean, you seem to describe the case as a silicone skin, with a metal plate sticked to it.
I thought it was more like a silicone skin with another semi-case to "clip" over the silicon....
Can you confirm if I am right or wrong?
And can you post multiple angles pictures?
Thank you, it would be much appreciated!
thanks but
so uglly
Ohh Great!
Thanks for the pictures! To me is one of the best cases i've ever seen.

[Q] (TMOUS) ~Best HTC-HD2 (Leo) Case~??

Hey everyone! Recently I just got my New HTC HD2 (TMOUS) Version, and I was wondering what case you guys have on your HTC HD2 or what case you have seen out there (ebay, amazon) that you believe is the best or Really good!
If you have a link to the Case website that would be fantastic!
Things I was looking for in a case:
~ Not to Bulky (Has to fit nicely into my pocket )
~ Screen Protection (Can use Screen Protector)
~ Camera Protection ( Noticed the Camera sticks out a little, and don't want it to get scratched)
~ Maybe Button Protection (Not needed necessarily)
Thanks!!
sounds like the Otterbox Commuter fits your needs
i have one, got it since it slides in and out of my pocket nicely, has a good screen protector, protects the camera, and has the buttons all covered.

It doesn't interfere with the stick on screen protector. It's not real bulky but I will say that it collects some lint/dust where the rubber part of the case is still exposed and on the camera lense (if you're keeping it in your pocket). It covers the buttons and I really like it.
With the nature of my flashing addiction, I actually drilled a small hole so I can soft reset without having the remove the case. It was ***** to line it up.

Thread was stagnant for 2 months. I kinda hope the guy has a case by now.
I'm using the capdase alumnor. Very nice case.
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
I find the standard HD2 cases have a nice tight fit in which the my TMOUS HD2 doesn't slip out of like the one that came with the phone.

[Q] Cases/screen protector

Has anyone found a place to buy a good case for this phone yet?
Also, I sent an email to ZAGG (invisibleSHIELD) to see if they will be getting screen protectors for the vivid...I hope the respond soon...
I got the Moshi Protector and the AGF case from ATT when I picked up the vivid, case is fine, HATE the protector, makes the screen feel and react like the old resistive screens since it by design, doesn't lay flat on the screen.
I ordered a cheapo clear on ebay(prefer the clear ones) as soon as it comes in I am returning the moshi

I had a few leftovers from SGS2, and you wont believe how perfectly they fit on my Vivid. As if they were custom made for this phone.
http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechS...AA/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1320692788&sr=8-20
Not sure how they are going to work out, but I bought some yesterday.. Ill letcha know.
When i picked up the phone i got a speck case and moshi screen protector. Reason i like the moshi is because its bubble free and reusable and anti-glare. The speck case is bulky but i had one on my inspire and i dropped that phone like 20 times and not a scratch or dent
could you take some shots of the phone with the speck case. I ordered 2 white phones with the white cases and i'm hoping they are going to make the phone too big.

Do you think you might be able to post your thoughts on the speck case? I got the white phone, and was contemplating the white case, too, but was afraid it would be too thick and make the phone a bit bulky. Thanks!
I picked up the Otterbox Commuter case from AT&T when I picked up the phone on Sunday. I really wish they had the black plastic case with black rubber case versus the black plastic with gray rubber case. But it is protected for now.
Still looking for a good screen protector for this though.
I got the white and black speck case its not that bulky as i recently stated but its not flimsy either like some of those ebay ones. Its rubber on the inside and a smooth hard plastic on the outside. the phone is very snug in the case you dont have to worry about over time the case looses its shape or gets looser. And not to mention if you do drop the phone at least you know they phone wont fall out of it or the back plate coming off.

I'm almost certain they will be, no worries. They've made screen protectors for far less popular phones.

just got comfirmation that my two white speck cases shipped through AT&T. Should be here tomorrow, now just have to wait for the phones to ship.
Cases and screen protector
I live in canada and really wanted to get the white speck case but when I contacted them about it they said they didn't know if they had any plans to make them, I replied with the link to the att website where its for sale and they replied with a link to the smartphone cases on their website. So helpful!
So going with the otterbox commuter and gonna get the ghost armour screen protector put on at my local mall. So far its the best I have used.

I wouldn't mind getting one of these if it were less expensive. I've looked online for about a total of 4 hours today and only found the Otter Box cases to my desire. That being said, I can't stand how bulky they make the phone feel.

When i push it up, the gray rubber pushes up towards the screen... you can actually see it separate from the black plastic part of the case...
I'll likely just cut it off.
I really wanted a Speck case, but they only had them in white(not a fan) and a crazy purple & blue thing (REALLY not a fan)

I ran past this thread, and saw the case and thought it looked similar! I own one lol.
I have it sitting on my desk collecting dust, it definitely makes the phone thicker, but I guess that what the case is supposed to do. Camera cutout doesn't scratch, it's flush against the phone. My biggest pain with that case was the buttons, they weren't tacticle, the power button didn't click, it'd just rub and I wouldn't be able to tell if I had pressed it or not, etc. I wish they would have smoothed out the edges near the usb-c, kind of scrapes my pinkies when I text All 1st world problems for me!
Hope this helps!:good::highfive:

do you think it's a better case than the rhino bump guard? I have the 5x with the rhino and it makes it a little wider but it offers good protection. but I wish it was a little bit slimer.

Believe it or not, I actually think the rhino looks a little thicker. I personally have never been a true believer of the bumper cases because of my own experiences; but I do think I'd take the supcase over the rhino. As much negative connotation I put on it, it's one of the better cases available for the Nexus 5X, in my opinion. If I were you and I had the option to use Supcase or Rhino? I'd choose the Supcase 10 out of 10 times, because it saved my phone numerous times.
Just my 2 cents!
thanks I held back on the ringke because the camera bump isn't out far enough to protect it from drops, while the rhino has its flaws its very strudy and strong and protects the phone well just the design and the bulk is a bit annoying, something slimer would be nice.

That's a good point, it's funny how they wouldn't make the bump higher considering that's one of the more important things to be protected

I had the same problem but what the guy does to a different case in this video made them much better but not perfect. Slit the sides of each button right in the seam but leave the top and bottom still attached.
I have this case too.. and yes the buttons!! I'm not quite sure what it does.. but if you just brush against the buttons while this case is on they'll activate whatever button it is. The main reason I use a case is because of the camera. I'm always afraid the lens will scratch but that could be an irrational fear.
Accidentally put the steam iron on top of my phone, thank God for the Supcase Unicorn Beetle! No harm to the phone!
I use it too. It's a very good case, with a good-looking skin and a high capacity of protection : I droped sometimes my phone and it has never been breaked.

Unfortunately for me the delivery costs more than the protectors, unless i find some local retailer selling spigen stuff
I have been using this case since I got my 5x about a year ago, and I love it. I haven't had any issues with the button sensitivity, and it works great.
The case is a bit scratched up now, as I'm pretty heavy user with my phone (running cabling thru ceilings & using it as a flashlight etc), but the camera is scratch free, and so is the screen. I use it without a screen protector, as the only time I've had screen cracks with other phones have always been sideways impact, which this case protects against.
My Fiance also has a Supcase on her LG G3, and it looks a little different that this one, but protects it great. I would def buy these again.

Rear Back protector / sticker?

HI folks, I've found the back of my X Compact to be pretty bad at collecting scratches - much worse than my Lumia 720 (wish more manufacturers would copy that design idea of a replaceable body!!) Anyway, I want a protective and/or grippy sticker of some sort. Ebay and Amazon have nothing to offer so far as I can tell, apart from metal plates for magnetic dash mounts. Any ideas? I would have thought there would be some kind of rubber sticker you could buy but no luck. Any ideas?

Hi,
in germany there is a frim which produce curved foil for the front and backside :
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XZCD6ZG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The problem is, that die foil isnt hard. So if you have bubbles under the foil and you press to much, the foil get damaged. I try ist with a little less power and the last bubbles gone away from semself after 2 days. It protects the full screen und full backcover.
Greetings Kullino
I got this skin for the back of my phone, which makes it much easier to hold and resists fingerprints a lot better than the shiny back. It also came with stickers for the sides, but I just used the one for the back, which adds texture and friction.

Very late response, but I've been using TPU case which protects back, sides, and gives a very small lip on front to keep screen off flat surface if laid on face.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M1HIQ5C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
case is soft and grippy, very happy with the result after 6 months.
very inexpensive <$10.
No need; apply wax polish. I used Novus Fine Scratch Remover (#2), but I would think car wax would work just as well. I used it to remove some marred patches from when I dropped the phone on hardwood floor and it skidded a bit, and not only did those patches disappear, but so did the fine scratches.
I don't think this would be wise for the screen, however, as it would probably harm the oleophobic coating.
