I have Unknown IMEI and Unknown Baseband problem with my phone after the eMMC chip was replaced with a new one from parts4repair.com. I have tried restoring an original N7000 EFS.IMG from another phone but no luck and now I have no idea what's the problem... Please suggest anything to try on my phone (I have tried almost any efs restoring tutorial so suggest something like hardware checks).

try this
flash stock ics 4.0.3
update via wifi
how many threads are you gonna open?
anyways if the efs. img didnt work you might need to follow some of the steps from the emmc brick fix, the new emmc chip you have might need to be added in some specific way.

This 5 parts rom has also efs, it seemed to have helped someone to get a generic emei. may need to flash them in two batches.

dude people dont like flooding forums with threads on same issue. Just pointing that out.
And about the emmc thing wasnt a you should, but a you might need to follow additional steps in correct installation procedure. The emmc brick bug fixes have steps on how to reinstall it. That you could do, I am not telling you should.
I share your frustration, it sucks man. It might help, not that you should, but you could, make a list of what you have tried and what has failed. That way you're u dont get 100times same advice

Did you install CM10 straight over official Ics? Or did you flash official GB with odin before flashing? Some details would be nice. What "step by step" guide did you use?

If it does not turn on, there are not many options, except few things I have explained in a similar case from Emscar. Just somewhere near in the same section. Hope it helps.

Well you definitely didn't follow the CM10 installation instructions "step by step" since they say NOT to do this in bold red text.
Your 2 options are to send it for a motherboard replacement, or repartition and bypass the damaged sectors which means you'll lose 3 or so gb of rom space. Follow instructions to the letter at all times, short cuts invariably lead to total bricks especially when dealing with ics.

factory condition I mean when device is new. Just after you buy it. With no backup of when you had imei, there is no way on getting it back, to my knowledge, without using expensive equiptment and skills like cvxcvx. Samsung itself should be able to do it to.
If you dont mess with device and only do ota/kies updates you dont need it. However when starting to do warrantee breaking stuff like custom roms, even pcodin official ones you need it.
how to: at own risk:
root device, use app like ktool, or alternatives.
Efs backup, is one of the important parts most forgotten as no backup tool does is with other backups.
You can get Samsung, at own risk to fix it too, lol

When you have changed emei youre pretty much screwed. However, a different phone can behave differently. even if same brand model etc. logic is dependant on many variables.
Never seen case of rom corruption changing imei but not efs, with flashback to different rom efs working again. Would be cool if that works for some
No1 you can test that ofc.

If you want to spend money, the z3x box and software can change the imei to what ever you want but the box is $120. I know the box works because my N7000 is using a dumb phone imei. I'm sure there is a way to do it without the box. In using the box, part of it requires flashing GB 2.3.5, so maybe the commands in this video will work worth the 2.3.5, I know they don't on ics.

10 bucks or 120, pick you poison. I wouldn't recommend the 120, cause its pretty difficult to set up, and you only need it once,if your smart lol.
Id recommend to go to Samsung, or cvxcvx as he has good rep on xda and elsewhere.
You might also want to recover pcode if your efs is bust lol. For updatability purposes.
Anyway be careful as it may be illegal to change imei, even if back to original.
If method in first movie works for n7000 its a good find. I wouldn't count on it thought.

No I agree, $120 is pricey, I did it out of expedience and at time I could not find much info about doing it. SoFar I have used it on 4 phones so it was not $120 out the window. When using it, it seems like they are using adb.
As for the OP, he probably just copied his efs folder and then tried to replace it when the orig got fubared. Before I did my mod, I read in a couple of places that just copying the efs folder is hit and miss. I use EFSPro to back up my EFS. I have three different imei's backed up, so if one gets banned, I just connect to a computer and flash another one, 30 seconds and I'm good to go.
Please guys, if your a flashaholic or your going to play with your efs, back it up with a proven app or learn to use DD and backup with it. Link to EFSpro:
Sorry if I've been late on replaying to your comments guys, but I 'm so busy with exams.
When IT will finish I will come back and replay.
and thank you all very much.

I'm afraid not rraka. This is how the vast majority of super bricks occur. (Me and HG42 included). Most of the rest is flashing ROMS from unsafe kernel.(even eybee did it flashing PA from MIUI). But yes, you are right. It's HG42, warranty, or pay for new mobo/phone.

Shoey, it seems he was bricked before using pit file. But if you use the standard pit file on top of a brick it makes matters worse.
with a little patience one can overcome the emmc brick, unless one has warranty and prefer to go to sammy for mb replacement. i really dont know where he stands.

Well you can try flashing pre-rooted GB from Dr. Ketan with PC odin, but the prognosis is not good. He also has proper PIT file for note1. Perhaps someone can provide link, or just search...

Have you tried it downgrading to GB? I suppose that's where your phone was working, right? Do you still have the warranty, if yes, flash everything back to stock and than try to send it to Samsung, but it can be that you phone regains the IMEI and other info back, have read this from similar threads from multiple devices with the same problem.
downgrading to GB did not help, I don't think the warranty will cover this...the custom flash counter is 16

I have flashed a modemfs from that thread as they described, but no luck.
maybe the phone was locked on some network and that's the cause for all the trouble. Try with triangle away to reset the counter, install GB as it was in the beginning, go to service and keep your fingers crossed. You have nothing to lose.

My phone was neverlocked, and it's multi-region, the original firmware had the same code as the Hong Kong phones, and I am located in Europe.
When I flashed this Russian JB rom, I got a warning message on the phone: WARNING: Custom Modem ! ...very strange !
That custom modem is responsable for the whole issue. Unfortunately my knowledge is limited and I'm unable to help you.
Still, my advice is the same: flash GB, reset that counter and go to samsung service. Probably they will discover that you flashed another FW, but at least you'll know if and how it can be repaired.
