Instagram and CM10 from nadlabak - Motorola Droid and Milestone Q&A, Help & Troublesh

I have CM10 from nadlabak http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1941570 and since I installed new builts (from 20130205) Instagram stopped working. I can see picture of others, take a photo, pick a picture from gallery, but when the image should load for applying effects I see only grey screen and filters, no picture which should be edited. Any ideas?

Did you wipe cache and dalvik-cache before the update?
You can also try to delete the data of the instagram app from the Settings. Corrupted data can cause this kind of problems.

I always wipe cache and dalvik-cache before update, I tried tu uninstall instagram and install it again, tried to uninstall instagram, update ROM and install it back, tried to restore nandroid backup, where it was working and update ROM...and nothing, still the same problem

so, the problem is v3.4.1 and v3.4.2, when I downgrade to v3.4.0 it is working again...

the same for me

Market Not Working after Revert from FroYo

I flashed on Paul's FroYo the other day and decided I didn't want the headache of app instability until later. But now after nandroid restoring my 5.0.6 backup, I can no longer download anything from the market. I read posts where people said to clear data from apps such as download manager, google apps, etc but when i go to my manage applications in settings I cannot see these apps, my guess is theyre hidden in CM. Any suggestions?
have you gone to settings (when in manage applications) and changed the filter to all apps?
I've got the same issue.
Decided to wipe, install Cyan 5.0.6 then revert to my 5.0.6. Nandroid.
Everything is fine until I try to download TI Backup from the market.
Anything I try and download just hangs at 'downloading'....
I've wiped caches, cleared data, replaced my XML file....etc
Grrrrrrr, why does nothing work properly.
i went back to 5.0.6 to do what you said, every time ive gone back with my nandroid back up its been fine, but this time the market app is corrupt for some reason. the vending.apk is in /system/app but the market icon isnt in the launcher and the shortcut on my home screen says app not installed when i use it. doing a factory reset works but i want that to be a last resort as i would like to preserve my settings/messages. ive tried replacing the vending.apk with different ones but it still won't install. any ideas?
I followed the steps here and it fixed the issue for me. forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6575904

[Q] Accidentally Deleted Facebook.apk.. Help me?

yea I was trying to update my facebook app in the market, but it wouldn't update. so I thought it was my custom rom. I backed up the apk in titanium backup and uninstalled it (i know i'm an idiot). I then went back to market, but facebook still won't install. and titanium didn't backup facebook.apk properly. Now I don't have a facebook app.. any help would be appreciated, such as givingme the file.
You have custom ROM, right?
Download it again, if you don't have it, and extract the Facebook app from there (/system/app).
In the meantime, reboot to recovery, wipe Dalvik-cache, and boot the phone. Try installing Facebook after that.
Alright, i'm downloading the rom again right now. Will wiping Dalvic Cache remove any of my data or mess anything else up?
Wiping Dalvik cache won't mess you up.
Did you reboot after removing Facebook with Titanium Backup? If you don't, installation will fail from the market.
proper steps are:
Remove Facebook from system/app
reboot
Install from market
This will work with any system app that your ROM might have updated in the market
It says application not installed. I just tried the apk from the rom. I havent cleared dalvik cache yet... what do i do?
Edit: No, I didn't reboot, trying it now.
Before rebooting, the system still "remembers" that the app was there. You need to reboot to clean the "remains".
Clearing Dalvik-cache might also help. It doesn't mess up the data, since the cache is rebuilt on boot. It just slows down the 1st boot after it.
I just went through the same procedure with Terminal Emulator on friend's Nexus today (only that I removed the app manually, thus I needed to clear Dalvik cache entry and remove data directory by myself - I believe that if you used Titanium, it did that for you).
Thank you so much! Rebooting fixed the problem, installed from market perfectly.
Happy to help, glad you're back in business.

[Q] Barcode Scanner Problem [Froyo XXKB3] ---SOLVED

I found other similar thread about barcode scanner but none of them mentioned my problem(may be have and I miss it?)
I flash my phone to XXKB3 long time ago then found that the barcode scanner won't work and showing ("Sorry, the Android camera encountered a problem. You may need to restart the device"). However the phone camera works fine.
So, I decided to flash it again 2 days ago. After flashed it, I immediately check both phone camera and barcode scanner and all turns out fine.
So, I happily root and deodex my phone and check again, still no problem.
After that, I want to try the tw launcher 4.5 so i do a nandroid backup using CWM.
After change to tw launcher 4.5, the barcode scanner start to showing the same problem...So, i thought it may be cause by the launcher so i do a restore using the nandroid backup. Still, the problem still there.
Anyone know what is the problem? Phone camera works fine without any problem but barcode scanner won't work.
Your help is much appreciated.
EDIT: The problem solved by re-enable the stock email apps.
It's strange. I have rooted deodexed XXKB3 + CWM + ext4 converting + I tested twlauncher4.5 (now I removed it because I like more Go Launcher Ex). And barcode scanner works fine for me.
I think the problem is wrong settings(broken?) of something(barcode scanner, system settings or something else). And them conflicts with your scanner.
At the first try to go To application manager, find barcode scanner and clean data.
if it won't help try to
1. go to recovery console and format /system, /cache, /data
2. restore your nandroid backup.
if it will not help too try to
1. backup all from your internal sd card
2. format your internal sdcard from phone menu
And install application you lose (some of applications can be installed at the internal sdcard). Do not restore backups from titanium backup — it will restore applications with their wrong settings.
if it will not help, I don't know what to do.
By problem what do you mean? Like the scanner if not working in the sense it is not opening or is it that teh barcode is not recognised?

the barcode scanner just open up and then show "Sorry, the Android camera encountered a problem. You may need to restart the device.". After click ok it close by itself...
Anyone willing to help?
I think it didn't caused by the tw launcher 4.5...
confusing as it may sound but the camera is tied in with stock e-mail app (read that somewhere after having same issue as you describe)
which means: if you remove the stock mail app, QR code scanning doesn't work anymore at all (works the first time you use it, then you get an error message)
had the issue and had to re-flash FW, did NOT remove stock mail app and afterwards all worked
maybe your stock mail app's corrupted after deodexing and this causes the problem?
and yes, im an utter and complete noob
Try clearing the davlik cache and try again

Fixed camera and Titanium Backup crash

After a nightly update of Cyanogenmod 11 my camera would crash after trying to open it. Then I found out that Titanium Backup also crashed. I went to an older nightly but they still crashed. I tried deleting data, reloading nightly , and restoring and camera still crashed. I went back to the newest nightly and had lost lots of my apps ( yes I had missed doing a couple backups !) . I was able to delete Titanium Backup using Play Store and reinstall but it still crashed. Then I tried deleting just the Titanium Pro Key - and then Titanium Backup ran !!! It suggested I update to SuperSU so did that , then reinstalled Pro Key and it ran. Then I used Titanium Backup to backup camera , and then deleted camera data. It worked ! Camera works.
Hope this helps someone else avoid some of the time it took me to figure it all out .
power shutter was culprit
I figured out what made the camera mess up . It was from selecting the "power shutter " option ( using the power button to take a photo ). If I selected that option the camera would not open up. Erased camera data and camera worked fine again.

Google Photos problem after reverting back to Oreo 8.1 from Android P

Yesterday I installed Android P, but did not feel I could rely on it for daily use so reverted back to Android Ore 8.1. However, after reverting, the Google Photos app is misbehaving in following ways:
1. Does not delete photos. If you delete them from File Manager, they still appear in photos.
2. With camera when you take photos and want to review the photo, the photo appears with noise and then app crashes (black screen and nothing happens).
3. At some points it asks me to give acccess to SD card, but I have no SD card inserted.
Anyone has a clue how to get over it? I installed a 3rd party gallery, which works fine but cannot integrate with camera i.e you cannot jump to that app after taking photos to review them. It still would try to go to Google Photos. I have tried clearing cache, data, disabling, rebooting, re installing update but nothing is working. Any inputs would be appreciated.
I also see one strange thing. Out of box, I had google photos which worked smooth and it had words "move to trash". But now it shows "Move to Bin" :/

I did. Everything else seems to work fine.
UPDATE: I had to wipe data/factory reset again from recovery, and this has fixed it for now. Also now I again get "Move to Trash"

No I dont use SD Card. For me the factory reset and wiping cache worked fine. It was quite annoying and I had no other choice then to do that.
Regarding downgrading, I am not sure how to do. Maybe on internet there are some tutorials
