I installed my first JB firmware (RocketRom v4) and this is starting to be annoying.
When i.e. I am listening to Internet Radio by Tune In Radio sometimes I need to turn the volume up or down and I don't want that issue.
I gave a look at media player settings, but there's no mention about that.

I have a Tilt and I wanted to know if this is normal or if there is a fix.
When playing music the screen will not turn off and uses up batts pretty fast. It jumps to the most dim backligh setting but is still clearly on. Is this normal or is there a music player that doesn't cause this issue?
Forgive me if this has been posted. I did a bunch of searching but there was a lot of noise regarding music skips and glitches.
I assume you are talking about the built-in Windows Media Player. In the options you can assign a button to turn the display on/off. Hope this helps.
hi there. while using the built in media player i have found that i can actually press the power button momentarily and put the device to "sleep" while still running media player. it will jump a touch but then resume. if you are using bluetooth headphones you can still control volume, play/pause and skip track. this makes the battery last much longer.

when i play music over the music tab in tf3d and the display turns off after 40 secs, the up/down and enter keys on the device also turn off.
this is kinda annoying since i often use the phone as music player in car, and everytime i want to go forward/backward or pause i have to turn on the display first.
is there any possibility to make the keys work when the display is turned off? the best would be without affecting battery too much..

I hear in my car over BT mp3 (with poweramp) and the screen of my sg2 is off. When i press next/previous song or press play/resume then the screen gets on. With Android 2.3.6 the screen remains off. I posted also in the poweramp forum and this is the answer of poweramp:
That's probable due to ICS 4.0.3 Poweramp typically doesn't handle phone behavior to button aside from changing songs and such.
Can i somewhere change this behaviour? Or is this because of 4.0.3?

I got a real good time with Chimera Rom, it's amazing at its speed and responsivnes and battery life also. Only issue that I currently have with that rom is this:
When I'm playing music on headset or without it, with screen off, when I try to switch songs or increase/decrease volume, it seems to record to signals - one for PRESSING second one from LETTING button go. That's unbeareble annoying when it comes to changing music (2 tracks at time) or increasing volume.
I'm using poweramp, but problem is showing in any music players. Help please.
Any advice?

i have the same problem.
if i have the setting to skip tracks on ROM Control checked:
volume up single click : volume increases then tracks skips 1
volume up hold : track skips twice
same happens for volume down
if i dont have that feature checked in ROM control:
single click on volume up : volume increases about 4 steps
hold on volume up.. volume increases to max (which is normal)
same happens for volume down
i think there is a conflict with that ROM Control option and the settings for Skipping Tracks while screen is off on the Settings>Sound>tick Skip Tracks while screen is off. although im not sure if this is the case.

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my 3T's media volume. Whenever I resume playback from a media audio source the volume is all the way down to zero. It only happens after a bit of time has passed... not when I hit pause and play in a short period of time. It also doesn't let me turn the volume back up from a locked phone... I have to unlock the phone first.
I'm running everything stock with the latest official update.
Any ideas?
