Maybe, but it will be really hard if we cannot unlock the bootloader because I have a feeling that we will need to change the kernel.
Does anyone out there know if we would need to change kernel

Just the fact that you need a counter reset, but almost sound unwilling to learn adb makes me wonder..

Hello there after trying to install revolt rom my imei etc seems to have been deleted off the phone ( no idea how)
Any ideas how to fix this if it's even possible?

I have a backup of the efs, thing is it's in .img and I've no idea how to flash a .img file

You would have to be in the bootloader to flash that. Tell me what the name of the file is and I will tell you how to flash it via fastboot.

Hey, forget about the boot loader and download "ktool" from the play store. This app should make it easy for you to restore your backup.

Because it's not supported. The tool is designed to root and unlock the boot loader for you before installing CM. To do that, it needs to know how to do that. If the phone is not supported, it will just leave your phone in a bricked state.

That's a very risky mod, with no way to know if it will work either. It could easily wreck a device messing with the framework apk and not having a recovery (the recovery we do have does not work on kk yet) To fall back on if it fails.

Ok. That's the reason then. So there's really no other way to flash stock Rom without it being s-off? It can be any stock Rom odes or deodexed doesn't matter to me.

no, but s-off is just as easy as flashing TWRP if not easier

Yea I tried that s-off and it doesn't work I get that error that a lot of other people get where it says I can never s-off my fone no matter how many times I try. Thanks for your help though

yea that's exactly what I'm trying to do . Is to return it to stock. I backed up stock Rom with twrp before I installed a different Rom but then when I restore back to stock Rom it worked fine a couple times then all of a sudden nuthing happens when I restore to stock Rom it's a blank screen.
