Hide ICS Hotbar only? - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I found a fullscreen app on the market that hides both the statusbar and the hotbar, but i just want the hotbar hidden, how would i do this?
Any help at all will be appreciated

You could try a different Launcher, Nova Launcher for example. Not sure about other workarounds to get rid off the searchbar...

R: Hide ICS Hotbar only?
ok for nova launcher but remember this: is it worth using a different launcher than stock one? what about battery consumption comparison between stock and any different one?

I did the same thing, but wanted to keep the status bar and launcher. None of the apps I could find did a decent job, and all the ones that hide both bars are a horrible hack: they kill the systemUI process at regular interval!
In the end, I found a very simple way to do it, with no additional resource needed, apart from an alternative navigation bar. See my post on the Post your RAZR i Homescreens thread.

Brilliant!! Thanks

ICS Theme for Liberty Gold on D3

Just loaded TheMuffStuff's ICS theme for Liberty here and it worked fine for me although it is 'technically' for the Bionic.
The only issue I've noticed is a weird shadow under the status bar, but depending on your wallpaper, you won't necessarily notice it.

Really any theme for the Bionic and the D3 version of Liberty should work with one another as the framework and apps are the same
Works good just need the pulldown power options to be bigger also the buttons select are dark ex. Advanced task killer the kill apps button is dark grey almost fades into background its an eye sore

Task killers became obsolete with Froyo....
As for the theme, awesome! Just what I've been looking for.
Task bar looks nice in synergy but the rest just looks ghetto to me.

looks good, but use cm7 now
Boot animation is insane but my home page looks the same other than the notifications. Is this supposed to change the look of the Liberty dock?

Open your phone (slide out keyboard) at the lockscreen. My lock buttons are backwards.

Looks like the regular Launcher Pro Icons with a backglow.
Theres a paid app that you can get them from I believe (Link)
Or you can get them for free, just without a glow here (Link), you'll have to longpress, and save the icon. Then set the dock icon as "Custom" and choose the icon you want.

how to change app drawer icon (S3)

as i said how can i change this icon (app drawer) and also i want to change the status bar to the blue one although my mobile isnt rooted
Thanks
If you want to customize your app icons. You can download the launcher like Nova, Apex and icon packages. I can't post the links here but you can search. There are tons of threads regardless of this. Cheer

You can't change the icon, and even if you were rooted it would be very difficult. The status bar requires root to do anything with it.

[Q] Navbar

I Was curious is there any way to change the navbar, Or customize it? I really like the way the CM10 navbar looks. I don't have a recovery and I have changed my notification bar and my lockscreen but that's pretty much it.

I'd rather use LMT than Button Savior. I was asking him because he said his games are on his pull out bar.
Ohhh ok well Do you think it is safe without a backup? I also use LMT although I still have the stock soft keys and they get very annoying.

How To Edit The Kindle Fire Nav Bar

EnigmaReborn,
This depends on what you would like to do to the navigation bar. There are applications out there that work well on the Status Bar:
1. Omega Status Bar
2. StatusBar+
Now, regarding the Navigation Bar there are several XDA Members that have developed custom Mods allowing you to resize the bar or remove it:
1. Hide Bottom Bar
There are a number of XDA Members that have done some real mod work, if you take a look at the idea, you will be able to carry it over to the Kindle:
1.Change Nav Bar DPI
The general idea is to look at the framework-res.apk - you will find all the Navbar icons inside that apk, use Gimp to edit the icons, then reinsert them back into the APK.
I actually uninstalled the Navbar completely. I am using button savior at the moment on my rooted Kindle Fire Hd! I tried using LMT but could not get it to work properly so I went with Button Savior. I used Sys App Remover and made a backup of the SoftkeyBar.apk then uninstalled it and rebooted my Kindle. I have Button Savior hidden and setup to tap the right side of the screen to open it. So far everything appears to be working great! :good:

Thanks for mention this app. It actually saved me when strangely my notification bar and soft keys disappeared, and allowed me to do a factory reset.
On a slightly off topic note, in relation to one of the LMT default options. How come recent apps does not work on the kindle? Anyone have any thoughts about this?

[Q] How to customize lockscreen on Stock ROM

Hi guys,
After a couple of months searching a new phone, I finally got the razr i and I'm really happy with it. Althought pleased with the stock rom, I would like to change something : The lockscreen.
In fact, I've succeeded to change launcher with Nova and I'm satisfied with it. However, the lockscreen still have old icons which I don't really like, and also, it vibrate also. I would like to remove that vibration , how can I do?
Thx!!!
Try the holo locker app

I agree. Holo locker is much better and you can get rid of the vibrate as well as change the shortcut apps (no idea why they thought it necessary to have a shortcut to the camera on a phone with a dedicated camera button!)
I also use Holo Launcher as I find it slightly smoother than Nova and you can do swipe up and down gestures on the dock bar.

Circles widget

Hi to all I'm in a catch 22 situation. Which is I don't like the stock moto blur launcher and would like to use a 3rd party launcher but when I do I can't use the circles widget. Is there and way to do this as I would like to use both holo HD and the circles widget together.
Thanks in advance
Moley

No way to use the Circle Widget on 3rd Party Launchers. You can try the one more Clock app out of Play Store. It contains an similar Widget.
BTW: You can change the Icons on your Blur Home screen with Icon Changer. Icon Packs are supported, so you can customize the Stock Launcher.

UCCW has a widget called motoblur clock which looks similar.

Try Rings digital weather clock; best match of circles.. Circles is protected to run only with stock moto launcher - see many threads on this.

I think the circle widget is one of the best clock/weather widget actually. I decompiled it and tried to remove the restrictions, but failed. I do not think it is possible, as I can see there is too much dependency on other parts which are compiled in the launcher.
The motorola launcher is not so bad. It is very close to the stock JB launcher. For me, the main shortcoming is the lack of customisation. But there are ways around it: you can use SiMi folder to have some great looking custom folders, which can be backed up, and used in any launcher; and there is another application HSD-Pilot mentioned (I think), which allows you to have custom icons for the app shortcuts.
Combine it with my 5 row mod and maybe you will find it fits your needs.
It's a pity, but I'm addicted to the wp8 launcher..

I always had hopes that someone could port the widget circles, it's a shame, thanks for your work!
I just new launcher, so I'll be without circles!
In time, I use your mod v6 pillama on a show!
Thanks for trying!
