Flash it! Its a .zip, no renaming or fastboot needed.
Im curious as of now if there is a way of going back to the .33 radio if this ends up making my service worst for some reason. I just got my phone today and might rock .33 a few days to get a feel before upgrading

Umh, download from mike's thread the stock rom and flash this.
Or flash only the boot.img from fastboot.

Umh, download the stock rom from mike's thread.
Now, do a nandroid backup from recovery and after flash the rom.
I think there isn't any stock rom for your version main, so the easiest solution is this
However, you've tried to erase the cache from fastboot with the command: fastboot erase cache
??
Sent from One with Tapa4
Well i tried the wipe cache/ factory reset etc etc..
In the morning (cause its 2:23 am) i will try the nandbackup(although i have no clue about that) and then a 4.3 stock flash would be reasonable or not?
Thanks

Defo kernel issue.
- Get odexed from here
http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.no/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html?m=1
Or whatever you desire
- Put the downloaded Rom on to your SD.
- Enter cwm/twrp recovery and do a nand (=backup of current ROM)
- install zip of new stock Rom.
Reboot when done.
Either this or just flash bulletproof kernel from flar. see if it gets sorted.

Well I installed TWRP, did a backup, with the default selection, after that I booted, and copied the files.,
Then I copied the odexed file to the device, booted into recovery, and installed it.
Now Wifi Works , and everything is on the "latest" release and still stock.
My question is:
What ROM-s can I try out? Only Odexed? Or Google Editions as well (from the link you provided) and if yes...
I just make a backup from the current setup, and copy it, and then recovery from the backup am I right?
But mainly my problem has been solved... So thank you very much !
Odexed or deodexed, whatever rocks your socks.. if you are gonna do some themeing of icons you need deodexed.
You are S-off and are free to flash loads of stuff.
Google edition? Sure test it out if you want to.
Sure, just back up current Rom and keep it safe on your phone if you can. Any problems occurs you can just restore it.

Go for it. Seriously, flashing the images takes about three minutes or so and it's safer. Just remember to boot to recovery afterwards to do a factory reset and wipe cache to prevent a bootloop (this will wipe your storage so make a backup first).
For both zip files that have come up tonight I can't flash them, ended up just flashing back to my CM 10.2 nightly. Just gives the same error.

This is like a three part question. But first never flash any ROM without backing up all your installed apps data. Unless you don't care about data loss. So basically the ota is a new ROM. Yes it will erase your data. However it won't touch the data on your sdcard. Only the ROM data. Such partitions of /data, /system, & /cache. You would need to reflash gapps as a
cm ota wont have gapps preinstalled. Also you would need to make sure you have the latest recovery. Some 4.4 ROMs don't flash properly without the correct recovery.

Flashed a the new radio, then pushed the latest firmware after having data drop off issues or no data in good signal areas. The radio flashed fine. And pushing the firm thru fastboot had no errors. But I seem to have worse data connectivity. Anyone know how I check if the firmware took, or did flashing the radio before hand adversely effect the install. I have asked in the appropriate sections, but unfortunately it's gone unanswered.

I do have the latest radio, it flashed just fine. However when pushing 3.04.651.2 firmware update, mine did not change, and it was suggested to me that the latest radio would not work correctly unless in junction with the latest firmware. My firmware still reads 3.62.401.1. But I received no errors during the fastboot push. Did I miss a step is what I'm asking. And if I did not. How can I push the firmware again to make for a successful build change. I hope that makes sense

You can flash the new radio without flashing the firmware and it'll work fine. The firmware can only be flashed with fastboot and if the signature of the firmware is broken it can only be flashed if s-off.
Flashing the full firmware won't change anything in your reception, but anyway if you are s-on you should flash the FULL firmware, if s-off you can flash the modified one. Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46123838

Use the guide from here by nirogu325 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406137
It has all that you need. And when in recovery, it's not necessarily 'apply update from SD card'. Just choose the zip file that you have to flash to gain root. I suggest that you use TWRP recovery on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2602188
Thanks for your help, I will try the instructions although they look a bit complicated for a near novice like me. My problem with the zip file is that when I am in recovery mode I cannot select any path leading to the SD Card root folder where the zip has been uploaded. It drives me nuts, it seems to work for everyone else but me!

The original gingerbread recovery had an option to flash zips. The ICS recovery did not. Rooting was way easier on GB because of this. The only way to root ICS is to install a custom recovery to flash a root.zip file.

Didn't know that. Never touched the original firmware that came with my tab. It was only when I upgraded to ICS via odin that I started tinkering with it.

Instructions from the guide are relatively easy to follow. Just read the whole lot. I think it would be better if you upgrade to ICS first if your still in Honeycomb.

Right, honeycomb, not gingerbread. I got my sweets mixed up. I don't think this tab ever had GB.

I am on ICS, I think this is why I cannot simply use the zip file with the standard recovery options. Will try the instructions and report.
Thanks all,
C

You need to install a custom recovery with odin. Then you flash the zip file in the custom recovery.

Yes, the guide tells you that you need to flash custom recovery before you could flash any zip file.

Ok, I think I need some help. I cannot flash zip drives from the standard ICS recovery as I do not get the option of accessing the SD card (see photo attached) so I can't either root or flash CWMR zip. As suggested I have tried Odin but there are no instructions on how to flash a CWMR zip in the tread, only how to flash ROMs. I have tried to search with the PDA or BOOTLOADER buttons but I cannot load a zip file in Odin. I am really not sure what to do now?
can you help?
Thanks very much,
C
You need to flash a .tar.md5 file in Odin. See this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2602188

CyanogenMod instaled and unusable, I have installed GoogleApps separately but they do not show up anywhere. The browser does not work so I cannot try to access gooleplay. The PC does not recognise the tablet any more and I cannot transfer files. Well done me!
I suppose I could go back installing a stock ROM with Odiin, the problem is that the only post I have found with stock ROMs has links to Hotfiles.com which is no longer in service. Can anyone direct me to any other link where I could download a stock ROM for P7310?
Thank you.

Have you tried sammobile.com for the firmware?

Done! Not without drama... At first the system would not reboot, had to flash custom recovery, wipe everything and flash the ROM again and then it restarted. Not sure I am going to mess up with my tab again! Stuck to ICS forever it seems...

Well yeah I didn't mention that you should do a full wipe first because I thought you already knew that
anyway, hopefully messing up with your tab won't be necessary, cuz stock ICS is the best, personally I use this tweaked one:
[ROM][ICS][STOCK][P7300/P7310][LQJ/LPV][Deodexed/Odexed] Final Build [14/1/14]
It is the best!!!:victory:
Cheers, what are the differences with the tweaked ROM you have?

Agree, I've tried the 10.1.3 and 10.2 CM versions before. But IMHO, overall performance is not on par with stock ICS.

It's a matter of preference, actually. In my case, I used the original firmware on the thread and tweaked it to my liking.
