N before i do it with PC Odin do i need to do anything from my mobile CWM tool which i got after the root.Or i just reinstall the rom with PC odin.Thank u.

No need to do anything from CWM recovery, flashing with PC Odin will reset your system.. Just make sure it is a complete ROM and flash it using the steps described in the 2nd post of this thread
Thank u so much.I'll try right now.
Thank u matius. It worked.Need to know something now.I'm still waiting for ICS.But i don't want to wait anymore. I see there is a new rom added to dr.ketan's post for Galaxy Note.ICS ROms-N7000XXLPY-4.0.3-2012 May-N7000OXALPY-Open Germany. My question is - is it the full complete stock rom of ICS for Galaxy note?I'll be able to upgrade to ICS with pc odin, the same way i downgraded to KL3 firmware.N it will not harm my warranty? In there dr.ketan added the upgrade guide too. Here is the installation method by dr.ketan ---->
Install using Mobile Odin safely
- Download N extract ROM
- Copy Extracted file to a folder e.g ICS ROM On Ext/Int SD card
- Download CF Root for LPY
- Extract CF root till get zImage file
- Copy zImage file to same above said folder in SD car
- Open Mobile Odin
- Select 'Open file' N point to ROM file
- select Kernel tab N point to zImage file
- select Ever Root option
- Flash
- You will get ICS ROM + Root + CWM
But my question is now why i need CF root?Is it necessary for this rom?I just want to stay with a official stock rom of ICS without any root at this moment. So can i just download the rom n install it with pc odin?
O n as this N7000XXLPY-4.0.3 Rom is official then i think I'll be able to upgrade all the official upgrade in future through WiFi?Cause i heard when we use custom roms it's not possible to get the official upgrade through WiFi.That time all we need to download the upgrade file n flash it.

You don't need it. CF-root is only for those who want a rooted system with CWM. You can simply flash the rom using pc odin.

It's the official ICS rom for Germany. This means in theory it should be possible to download OTA updates. But I can't guarantee it since the rom is for Germany and it is possible that Samsung checks what rom for which geographical market is installed prior to providing the update for download. Maybe they refuse to update your system if the installed rom is from another country.
Thank u for ur reply. But i think when Samsung will release the Rom for my region i'll be able to flash it again?N should i use the same settings in odin? I mean only check the Auto Reboot n Reset time when i flash the official ICS Rom ?

Yes
About flashing via odin
Well I am having the same question.. Before rooting I made a backup using cwm, then my friend flashed ics stunner 5.0. I don't know how but it crashed and I restore my phone using cwm backup. Now it is the stock ics but the kernel is different.. It says abyss kernel.. My question now is that if I flash the rom using the above mentioned method will I get the stock rom+ stock kernel and second question, and what about the binary counter will it increase again.???

[Q] How update a rooted phone

Hello everyone,
i have a rooted GT-N7000 with Vers.2.3.6,
CWM Vers.3.0 and SU Vers.3.1.3
While missing some featurtes i need to upgrade.
Question: How can i upgrade and keep root? It does not even tell me, what version is availible OTA.
I hope my question is clear and i provided the information needed to answer.
Thank you.
Download the latest firmware from sammobile.com and install it via pc odin. This will remove root but you can install philz kernel to root, cwm and safe kernel.
OR
using mobile odin, select the rom in open file, select inject superuser, enable everoot and inject mobile odin. Flash firmware.
Make sure not to wipe while on stock ics kernel
You can use mobile odin and inject root, or just download custom rom and flash via CWM..
Forget GB or ICS..now we have JELLYBEAN
Dihantar dari GT-N7000 saya.

Rom:
Roketrom v3 JB 4.1.2

1. There is no such thing as "original cwm"
2. The one that comes with your device is called "Stock Recovery"
3. Now if you want stock recovery you have flash stock rom which in this case would be ICS 4.0.4
4.If you want to change your recovery you have to flash a different kernel as recoveries comes with kernels.
P.S. Dont flash stock ICS 4.0.4 kernel as it is unsafe.
If you want to flash Stock Rom ICS 4.0.4 follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
XXLSC is a OTA update which one of the forum member (ThaiDai) got on his phone and has dumped for custom roms. XXLSA stock is available on samfirmware.com and it has the stock JB TW kernel,. if you want that... flash it using Odin..

My Rom history:
GB 2.3.5 (worked!)
OTA 4.0.3 (worked!)
OTA 4.0.4 (worked!)
root with temporary CWM (worked!)
updated on 4.2.1 SuperNexus (hydra kernel) (worked!)
flashed Philz Kernel and 4.1.1 TW dump (worked!)
flashed Philz XXLSZ Kernel and the original OTA update 4.1.2 XXLSZ trough odin (worked!)
flashed CarbonRom 4.2.2 XXLSZ (worked!)
wanted to flash the stock 4.1.2 - didn't work - (soft brick)
friend suggested to first flash a safe kernel again, i think it worked because of the yellow triangle? but i still cant boot in cwm
i still have acces to the download mode but it doesnt boot neither in recovery nor normal boot (boot loop)need instructions please fast!

Hi,
Yes, but you probably will get the yellow triangle, you can remove it later tho with "triangle away".
... anyway, you can have the latest stock tw rom versions from Thaidai Pristine's thread or Eybee's stock reloaded via CWM without having to return to those versions you mentioned on Odin... just a suggestion. Hope this helps.

I need help to root and install recovery to GT-I9070 with gingerbread

I need a little help can anyone show me the thread how to root this phone (GT-I9070) and install recovery .The phone has gingerbread from TELCEL México.I forgot to say can anyone show me the best custom rom Jelly Bean to install it on my phone.Thank you so much an waiting for the reply.
Edit:Compilation android: Gingerbread.UBLK1
Upgrade.....
You said you are on gingerbread, that is 2.3.6
While on 2.3.6 you can only install custom ROMs that are based on gingerbread.
If you want to install jelly bean or kitkat custom ROMs then upgrade to stock JB 4.1 via KIES or ODIN.
Here is a thread that can help you upgrade :

The link given in the previous post has all the info for you.
1. You have to download a stock JB firmware. You can do it from sammobile.com/firmware
2. You have to download odin3 3.07 on your PC.
How to use odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33969186
3. Your PC must have SAMSUNG android mobile phone drivers installed. You can google for it. Another way is to install samsung kies. Installing kies will install the drivers by itself.
4. Now flash the downloaded firmware (in the zip archive there is a tar archive) by odin3 tool.
4. After you have successfully flashed JB now you want to root your device. Download a tiny root.zip file by shaan from this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36406378
Keep it on the sd card of the device. ...
As for custom ROM you can begin with HarshJelly because it is very stable and everything works on it. And for kernel&recovery CoCore 8.6 with CWM.
