Hi I want to send my GF, in the USA an unlocked international note. I day it will work on at&t, the guy in the shop says no. It's the N7000
Thx
From box 13......
It will work as long as it supports the frequencies. At&t is gsm so it should be compatible. Just check if the frequencies are supported.
P.S.: remove the comma after gf
I have an unlocked German gt n7000 I got from amazon. I am in los Angeles. It works perfectly on at&t. Just download at&t messages app from the web and side load it, and you will get visual voicemail for free too. You must use the WAP.Cingular apn
There is a thread here about it. Search.

Works great. Lots of people using ATT's network either natively or through straight talk.

Does one need to unlock the Tmobile version to get it to work on other carriers including verizon or sprint?

You have to unlock to use the tmobile note 4 on att.
Pretty sure you can't use it on verizon or sprint.

It works on smaller carriers however like cricket, etc.
Just wondering is all, thanks

Yeah, the bands are different on verizon and sprint.
Here's people talking about trying tmobile Sims on sprint note 4s:

As long as you own the phone. (not financed), T-Mobile is required to give you the "unnlock" code for your SIM at no charge. The little stipulation in this is that you have to have owned it for 40 days (I believe).
Cricket is an excellent option btw. :good:
Hey all,
I recently picked up a Note 5 for the Wisconsin carrier Cellcom as their network is great up here. However, unlike pretty much every Note 5 I've seen (including the US Cellular Note 5 which has the same model number), the option to put the phone in "global" mode is missing. I popped an AT&T SIM in it and it didn't give me any issues about unlocking the device, but It looks like global mode is hidden. Anyone know of a way to enable it? Thanks!
Did the phone work on At&t once you put the sim card in? It's supposed to be international for phones using the CDMA bandwidths. For GSM bandwidths you'd have to use the one that ends with an I. The Australian version. I do have a question though. I am trying to see if that phone is allowed to work on Verizon's network. Do you think you could PM me the phones ESN or MEID so I can ask Verizon before I buy the phone? I really want to be able to root it but still have Verizon.

Or you can check for me. Just follow this link and put in the ESN or the other to see if it would be allowed to work on Verizon. As far as I know the only one Verizon says no too is Sprint. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey i was looking to buy a Note 5 on eBay and most of them are Verizon and AT&T , i check the frequencies and they should work with my local carriers. I just dont know if they are unlocked by default (can be used with other carriers) or if there is any other way to check/unlock. http://www.verizon.com/about/consumer-safety/overview Does this mean that most Note 5 are unlocked? Thanks
If they are coming from a mobile provider most of them they are locked to that carrier not unlocked. Only if you pay the full price when you buy you can ask for unlock right away. You have to check with the seller if it's unlock or not. Usually they specify that. But to make sure contact the seller.

And anyway you can go online to buy an unlock code for 30-35$ for note 5. They are many sites up there. Try www.cellunlocker.net. Is a very good one but you can find many others.

Yeah i know. But most of them dont specify and a lot of them have no idea because they havent tried to switch carriers
I was just wondering how well this device, (Specifically the CLT-L29) works on AT&T? Do you have full LTE? Do you happen to have VOLTE?
This should work fine on ATT. It has the bands. I just ordered one to use on TMobile. It doesn't work on TMobile 66 and 71.

I got mine 3 days ago and works like a charm. P20 pro dual SIM. Clt29 from Singapore. Registered my note8's IMEI with at&t (totally accepted by them).
Lte , visual voicemail works !
There is no band 29 and 30 which I used 7% of the time (on my note 8) in NY metro but for the moment this was not a challenge.
What on T-mobile? anyone here tried it in tmobile USA? never mind. found answer in first box.

How did you get Visual Voicemail to work? I am in Italy right now and picked up one here that is unlocked. I threw my ATT Sim Card into it and its working great but still cant visual voicemail. IMEI used on the number is the S8+
Hello Everyone, I am looking at getting a note 8. I have T-mobile and am wondering if I can use any 950 and put T-mobile software on it and be able to use all the T-mobile features. I ask because I have a note 4 that was Verizon I could use it on T-mobile but was unable to use the hotspot since it always tried to activate the Verizon hotspot. I had to get a T-mobile board for it to use it. I don't want to get the wrong 950 any input would be appreciated
Yes.

You won't need to flash T-Mo firmware. They're all the same firmware. It will automatically provision for whichever SIM you put in it.
