Signal loss - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

I have a constant signal loss after jellybean update. But it comes back. Has anyone else had this issue.

Odp: Signal loss
Yes, I had this problem too, many 2G signal losses all day long. I got back to ICS (.195 FW, because it has the best baseband IMHO) and everything is OK again.

Yep I had the same on UK generic jellybean, I've now gone back to ics as well, much better signal, far superior battery life

Thanks guys for the input. I like the jellybean so much more.

Am finding the deodexed Rom worse than the tft of the original for battery life.
The tft seemed godlike in comparison
However I am on sluggish internet with full bat signal and that is not a good thing

I don't have signal loss but yesterday in a supermarket I had very low or no signal and my sister with her Sony Ericsson w660i had almost full signal.
I also read an article a while ago that said the old phones have the best reception.
Is there a way to boost the signal?

After an hour I noticed that my internet were slow. So I tested my data speed again and got this:
And I was like wtf? So I tested it again and it were the same... So does this mean that I have to flash a new radio?
Rom: Inferno sense
S-OFF
Root
4ext recovery
I never changed the radio. So it should be the newest one from the original ota update sense 3.0.
Thanks!

If you were on mobile data you had 3G on the first test and 2g on the second.

What do you mean?
i don't think its because of the radio. did the signal bars drop out suddenly? if not then i think your radio is fine. you problem maybe due to some network congestion

So was it better at least battery wise before root?
Just simply rooting doesn't do jack squat. Any change in performance or battery life is just a coincidence/fluke.

I'm rooting tomorrow .....I just wanted to show a base line test .... I drained the battery when I got it.. ..and then charged to 100 percent. ...this is a record of my first full battery cycle and benchmark results

before I fully charged, quadrant reported my device running At 1300 now I can't get past 1200 but it does read a Max CPU of 1300 I thought this was a 1200 device. ... we'll see what the devs can do. if any ANY of the guys from the epic4g touch come to this thread I have super high hopes .
And yes you are correct rooting alone doesn't do anything for performance. ...now custom kernels one the other hand...

This. It does nothing by itself. It adds two files that don't do anything unless called upon by another app.

This is why I love my N7

6 hours at work today. 7m screen time on my gnex. Use tablet talk for my texts. Epic!

Lmao.
Gnex = Cellular modem lol
Poor Gnex. I still use mine though but not as much. The N7 for emails, Gtalk, XDA, and internet. Really saves my Gnex from dying so soon.

Does Tablet Talk consume much battery on the phone and tablet?
I don't think so at all, but I'll double check today. I don't get a ton of texts and it operates over bluetooth so I wouldn't imagine it is much of a drain.
My photon has been downgraded to a wifi hotspot for my 7. Its been very neglected

LOL, n7's battery is very impressive. It stays alive for a long time after I hook it up with WiFi.

My GSM GNex is getting no love since the N7 arrived...
Same here, my Gnex only saw 12 min of screen on time lol. Gotta love tablet talk!!!

There is a mod of a system file which gives much more signal strength, need root for that, otherwise you will have to wait for Sony

[Q] Battery temp of 140??

So here I am casually checking GSam when I see this alarming graph:

To me, if this is accurate, it's terrifying! While this may have been happening I wasn't using the phone. 3 background apps, not charging. The phone is running the stock system. I also DID NOT notice a freakish heatsource in my pocket... It's been back to normal since so far.
Has anyone else seen an error like this in GSam, or maybe seen their battery temp legitimately go up to 140? Should I be concerned?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Your battery dropped precipitously right around that time. Check the others radio button to see what else may have been happening at the time. 140 seems awful high...it's entirely possible that a sensor went crazy for a few minutes...
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I wouldn't worry about if unless you were using the phone and felt the temp go that high. Reminds me of my first 3 samdung captivates.. lol. Those literally got too hot to hold to my ear; somewhere in the 120F + range
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Yeah I've been hoping it was just a GSam error, and thankfully the highest the temp it's been since is 40ish. Though it's weird that an error would show up over that time frame and peak shape.
You're right, the charge did drop a lot during that time. I checked out the other statistics and my phone signal dropped then, but not the minimum. Nothing else I saw was going on (screen, call, gps, active) ...
Here's hoping it stays good I guess.
