Is me or does it seem like there isn't that must interest in full scale flashible themes for this phone? There are definitely a few great themes available but other than that there does seem to be much going on in the thunderbolt world. I know the phone hasn't been out long but as time goes by it seems that there is less interest than there was at the beginning. I would love to start seeing some more ports , that would be great. Anyways just thought I would share my piece of mind. I do want to thank any and all of those who have put time and effort into making themes for this phone because without you guys this phone would be bland just like any other non themed phones

I was hoping to have one together by now but I'm catching hell from my wife about the time I'm spending on this phone. I've taken a break but plan to put together a theme with red icons, I was also starting work on a white theme with black Icons and text but my favorite white theme is being worked on already.

The incredible was out for how long... Over a year. The thunderbolt has been out for a few months. Honestly I think there is a lot of stuff for this phone for the short life span. I'm loving every minute of it.. give it time. There will a lot more with time

100% true....but it's not just Cyanogen it's all AOSP ROM's compared to Sense. There is so much interconnected stuff in Sense it's not funny.
On top of it all the htc.resources.apk has over 1700 images and that's only 1 app.

Are there any ASOP roms yet besides CM7? All the ones I've downloaded that say "ALL Sense removed" still have some sense and the htc.resources.apk

No, not yet, CM is the only one for the Thunderbolt as of now (that I know of). I was really just speaking in general about any HTC phone that has Sense and AOSP ROM's.

Strong this.
Agreed with the ridiculous resources folder, so many images used all over the place, cant even make sense of most of them, and just when you think you finally got them all, you have to hunt for 1 more (rinse repeat x100!) Every night for the last month I have gone to bed cursing the HTC devs.
Happy to say though I do have a new theme, hopefully it'll drop this weekend, just finishing up a few extras. And getting last input from the testers.
currently running on the infected rom but will quickly be ported to BAMF
Before we begin let's set some things straight:
1. This is a beta and is under testing
2. As the post implys, this is CM based(CM7)
3. This is a work in progress
4. This is built, changed, and improved from community response(we need your help!!)
5. This is managed regulary, afa the incredible, by Treken since he has the HTC Inc(This doesn't negate the fact that whole GRP dev team is working on this project to improve it constantly)
We have been hard at work over at the Green Rom Project. Thanks to the dev team, we have managed to establish our github and have begun deving our rom.
Themeing has begun, but allot is needing to be themed. It has been cm based for now and is optimized for better performance during compilation process.
Our goal is to build a stable, efficient, fast, and gorgeous rom for others to enjoy, while learning and teaching others how to develope the android system.
Our site is geared specifically to cater to the noob or even intermediate developer that just wants to learn and have fun doing it, because developing is supposed to be fun otherwise why do it!
Special thanks the following for making this rom possible:
CM for Cm7!! As well as all of his work
XDA for this site
Stoute for our site!!
JBird for all his work and establishing the GRP GitHub
LivLogik for his outstanding graphical work with boot animations
DLamber for his work at GRP
Treken for GRP Inc development
Verizon for providing a solid network

Gapps is available in the"download rom" section of rom manager. We've worked really hard to get this project going. Allot of time and energy has been poured into this project! I have an incredible and am the only one on the dev team that can test. Any feed back will be appreciated. We still have a majority of the rom to theme. Just getting the github lined out was a giant leap for us. You can visit out site and learn to dev and compile your own rom if you choose. It should run nice and smooth a it's been optimized making it run faster. Hope you enjoy it! ;-)

Just did. We left Gapps out because it's available on Rom Manager. Also, it makes the rom much lighter without all the Gapps. By using the Rom Manager you can choose which Gapps you want to install. We've been trying to streamline our rom so that it also improves the speed. Anything that we've removed can be downloaded from the market. I will bee trying to get the change log together for this rom so you will know what's been improved/removed. I'm working 7 days a week right now with little time for moderating our site or deving our rom. Please be patient as I will try to get everything squared away. Thanks!

Personally, I'm tired of people calling other people's work their own. Jdk actually contacted me and cleared himself as a developer of this kang. So it really comes down to someone else taking CyanogenMod, changing the boot animation and the build.prop. IMO this thread should be closed until some real development begins.

I don't see what your issue is with ppl kanging CM7 and releasing it? It's marked very clear in the subject it's CM7. It thanks users for contributions. If cyanogen didn't want people to kang him the option wouldn't be available. For example, take a look at how many different CM roms there are at the droid eris forums, nobody *****es and moans about how horrible those devs are for their horrible "stealing" of open source code.

Battery Bar
Well Im currently on Fasty III v1.2 KJ3... If you could explain to me how to do it I would like to learn so I can do it in other ROMs. Thanks!
I am away from my computer so this might not be as highly accurate...
Get the apk manager.zip tool (google it)
Then dowbload the latest miui and other rom you want it on
Open both system/framework/framework-res.apk's using apk manager.
Then find any xml or.png related to the miui battery in the miui framework
Copy them all
Then paste them in the respectable folders in the other roms framework folder.
Then recompile the other roms framework.
Then you should have a working framework with the miui battery icon
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Problem is I have no idea what files are related to what files.
When you open up the framework you can tell they usually have stat_battery in their name
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I found two files stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml and thats it in the MIUI's res/drawable folder.
I have wanted to try to implement that for a long time...just don't have the smali/xml smarts. Hopefully after Dags crew enjoy the exclusivity for while they would be willing to share
When I get the time I'll look into it, even though I hate trying to theme Fasty I'll see if I can implement something like that to Fasty...No promises though, I haven't seen how MIUI is set up.
I thought a battery mod for a I897 ROM wouldnt matter as long as its gingerbread and not MIUI/CM7. I thought the file system is pretty much the same for every I897 ROM. I have been digging and i have found a miui site that has several colors you can dl and the file is the SystemUI.apk. I can post a link later so u can look at the file system and files.
EDIT: HERE is the link that I found that has a DL of different colors of the bar for MIUI
HERE is a link to a thread where its being implemented into CM7. Look at post #17
Sorry not trying to put a damper on things but there's more involved than just copying xmls and PNGs over. Plus... Obssession has color change options in settings. Not just a CWM update that replaces the whole SystemUI. You can change to your favorite colors at any time.

theres a reason I havent done so myself yet , the kernel without source makes imo the i897 rom sub par i9000 roms by a long shot , but I guess that opinion is not shared , once a real kenrel comes out pm me if I miss it, il make an unthemed base for i897 rom with pleasure

I understand. I too am running an i9000 base... I was just saying that for my knowledge, its a bit above me. I just finally figured out this build how to add the locks on my own...probably, at least for me, my biggest achievement, and with my knowledge, was able to help Johnson get them implemented into his ROM..a captivate base.
I have mad respect for what you do. And hopefully someday I can learn to get that battery bar up there. I ain't in no hurry though. I am still basking in the light of my little achievement

But just today is when I realized he was talking about the battery bar, not the battery icon. The bar is quite over my head, I've been looking into it for about an hour now and I am probably just going to give up.
Have this on my Windows Mobile phones, Dash and Wing. Flashed Juggernaut Rom and damn, blast from the past. Would be better I think as a zip file or apk file so we could install on any rom. Would love this on my SGS2.

Hey I was just wondering why this does not work .
Why can I not cross use different apks from different roms .
I am using Ice cold sandwich atm and the Camera application sucks on it , half the stuff doesn't work so I am forced to use a third party application.
I tried to access the app folder inside the "system.ext3.tar" which was found in one of my backup roms . ---> Created with CW MOD
I basically tried to take the working camera application and install it on my current rom but it crashes on startup, how do you actually go about doing stuff like this? What are the requirements ?
I just dont get why it does not work
I also hate the clock APK in the rom it does not have a world clock which I really need. I tried to again take the World Clock apk from another rom and it did not even install.
They were all from different icecream sandwiches but with sense 4 , the rom I am using does not have sense but I dont see how that would really affect this
Can someone explain to me how to cross use APK system files ?:good::good:
I believe you can't cross sense with aosp and aokp. If you want sense apps to work then port to a sense Rom. Your trying to put a square peg in a triangle hole.

It hasn't been taken from a HTC rom, its just a clock thats themed to look like sense

HTC apps require HTC framework and other HTC apps in order to work
So without the other apps, just come of them won't work
Most apps from other Roms, like Sony Ericsson and miui Roms will work, I have some of them
I think just Samsung and HTC apps won't work
But Samsung apps can be hacked

Hey guys and girls, i am new here but i wanted to post because i couldn't find anything on what direction i need to go in, here is what I want to do. I have a nexus 6 and I want the older moto X or moto E look, like the signal bars and the full icon setup wrapped in a rom based off older android or even kitkat but i want the original lockscreen I will post a picture of what I'm trying to do. Keep in mind i am new and have no clue where to start. I can dual boot my machine with Ubuntu or other flavor of linux if need be. Any information in the right direction would be great. Also just a heavy themed rom of lollipop would work but i hate aftermarket launchers.
To get this you will only be looking at theming. No drivers exist for this device that support the n6. Not impossible but would take a lot of development work that no-one would be willing to do.
After market launcher will be the only way to get that home screen

You're not really going to find a good tutorial on how to build legacy ROMs for a new device. Not to be funny, but the only asset that will help with this is a huge amount of android development experience to get a fully working legacy ROM. Probably more experience than most people at XDA have here. Its really a job for an expert.
This "theme" is all Google, nothing to do with Motorola. We have pure android and this is what it looks like. If you want to theme status bar icons, look into xposed modules. Surely some can do that for you.
