DSPManager in LiquidSmooth GS3 LTE - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

I restored some of my apps from Titanium, specifically the DSPManager. I noticed that this app doesn't work anymore on this new ROM. It crushes, and when I reboot my phone, it automatically removes DSPManager app.

There may be some problems with DSP and AOSP Roms but it also may just need the correct permissions so put the APK into /system/app with something like rw-r--r-- permissions and see how that goes. You can pull the DSPmanager off another ROM or find the standalone.
Shout out if you need any help with installing it under system

delete it using Root Explorer. its in /system/app/. you can probably delete it with Titanium Backup too. Astro doesnt have root permissions.

Latest gmail 2.3.2 apk
Just place onto your sdcard and then install.
Works fine on a Samsung Galaxy S i9000
Yes. it is very simple. And I find this always works:
Install the new version, if it fails, reboot the phone or restart the Java VM. Do the install again. Done.
I have the same problem with the last apk of Gmail and with Launcher Pro Plus.
I have solved both in the same way, deleting the original with SUBFS or another root explorer.
i have the same problem.
then,i take a gmail APP form CM 6.1 to install...
i'll done~
try it!
guess this is still for 2.2 only? i've seen various threads on other forums claiming there's a 2.1 version goin around and im not sure if it's modded or not

You can find the apk in every rom which includes the DSP Manager. Download (for example - h t t p://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/skankwich/crespo/) - extract or browse
in system/app and you'll find the DSPManger.apk, then copy and install
Here is the apk and the lib file for DSP ics.

@ OP It would be good if you posted this in Original Post and change title to let people know you have it posted in this thread.

Hi,
it's easy to install it like any other .apk through the android os (no need to boot into recovery), just check the box 'Unknown sources' in Security settings, and install it from your sd with any file manager.
It depends, when you are on cm roms there should be no problem.
But if you are on different roms , it may not work because it needs some lib files too.

The APK file seems to sideload w/o issues but choosing "Select Preset" FCs (there are probably other FC issues too). If you install the zip file using CWM then it works correctly.

[Q] How to install an apk into system/app?

I am using rooted JVU firmware and would like to install ICS keyboard to my system/app.
I used Root Explorer to copy the apk file into the directory and did a reboot, and the keyboard appeared on my locale and text menu.
However, when I try to select the keyboard, it always return a force close.
Can anybody teach me on how to solve this issue?
There is a thread called "How to: Push apps(.apk)" - you will have to try to use the search function for that name cause I don't think I can post a link yet

I did the search and tried the way as taught, end up having the force close issue.
Is it that not all apk can be installed onto system/app?

You can also try an app called "system cleanup". I'm not sure if it's on the market but there is a thread where you can dl it or you could use titanium pro

Ics keyboard is made to work on android 4.0.x framework ported from Nexus S, ok?
As you revealed in OP you are using Sammy JVU 2.3.6 TouchWiz infected framework.
Why not try to rip out HTC keyboard and push that too while you're in the mood?
When you push an ask to system/app am I write in saying it does not deleted in factory reset..??
What about pushing to system system/media..??
When pushing an apk to system folder,u need root and there is 2 easy ways, either use a root explorer and just push it to the system/app folder or use titanium backup to revert to system app.factory reset(full wipe) doesn't wipe system apk,but everthing else is wiped..
U can also push apk to system via ADB.but a little bit of knowledge is needed

(Q) DSP Manager

I have ICS on my Xoom and tried to install DSP manager ICS app but it won't show up. Can anyone help me out? I'm using AOKP milestone 4 if it helps.
I get FC when opening the app. Best bet is to use something else
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium HD app
I believe DSP manager has some dependencies which are baked into CM ROMs. Your best bet is to use CM9 if DSP manager is that important.
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
I have been using DSP Manager on my Galaxy Nexus without any errors (B35 of AOKP right now). If I flash this onto B35 of the Xoom, I get FC's when I attempt to use it. I don't know what the issue is but I can't seem to get it to work.
Push it to system/app and re odex the Rom.
Let us know if it works. I use volume + and it works better in my opinion.

I've had good luck with This Flashable Zip (flash in recovery). I'm using it with the Team Eos Nightlies on my wifi Xoom.
Just realized I didnt provide the code to push the file...sorry bout that.
adb remount
adb push (file name/location) system/app
adb reboot
file name and location is dspmanager.apk and you can drag and drop the actual file into the command.

xperia launched close in DjangoManouche V30A

Hello i just installed this rom but i have an issue with the xperia launcher crashing every 30 seconds (i dont even use it... i'm using the regular one)
How can i delete it from my phone ?
Use a file explorer with root, go to system/app and remove xperia launcher.
Reboot
Install systemapp remover. It'll help u.

Someone in dev-thread reported that fixing permissions would help. I don't have that bug, but I think it'a worth a try...
Sent from my p990 on ICS
the same thing happened to me, what I did was to uninstall it using Titanium Backup since I didn't like that launcher anyways.
