Hello.. I've the Device without LTE since about 2 Month now.
Its working fast and stable.. but since a few days its rebooting without any reason.
I dont need to insert the PINCode again after reboot but it's annoying.
Why does it happen? Its rooted but the stock rom..
Any idea?
post in the i9305 help section
S3 won't reboot without a reason in short there is a problem why it resarted.
Only that reason is something you don't know.
Your title is wrong.
Flash a new firmware.

This can be because of your SIM-card. Sounds very weird, but I've once had it
Then it suddenly shows the Samsung screen (not the white I-9300 one) and reboots.

Try removing your sim card doesn't work install new firmware through odin and wipe doesn't work then send it to Samsung

Fix
I'm writing this with my gs3, which would have been impossible before. I finally found the fix for the random rebooting. The solution that worked for me was to root and install cyanogenmod, then I installed an app called 'trickster mod'. Then I set the CPU frequency to run at minimum 800. Thats it. If your phone runs fine whilst playing games like CSR Racing then this is propably the fix for you to. I'm not sure you have to run Cyanogenmod, but you need root. The downside to this fix is that the battery gets drained a bit faster, still good thou.
Experienced a similar problem earlier. If the issue is not software, it might be your power button being stuck. I just did a few taps around it to loosen it. Ridiculous, but it worked.

Hello
After five days of using my new galaxy s plus, it become so slow after exiting standby (unlocking). It needs about two or three minutes to back on its "normal" speed. Everything is so laggy and slow.
I've recently installed juice defender and I was thinking it's causing the problem, but the problem is still there after uninstalling JD. I've turned off most of my apps, but the problem is still here.
Any ideas what's causing this problem and how I, can fix it?
I have only three home screens and 4 widgets.

Wellcome to the "laggy" club... Which rom do you use? I found Value Pack roms extremly laggy on unlock. Im using stock non-deodexed (odexed ) KQ1 and I set lag to minimum. A

Hi there everybody, I've been having sudden Sleeps of Death, doing some research have found that may be sd card related, however nothing focused to our beloved T. After some time of inactivity phone won't come on after pressing power button to wake.
Anybody of you having this issue as well? Any advise?
I'm running timin8r stock Rom .233 along with its corresponding kernel, rooted and deodexed and a HP micro sd card, 32gb, class 10.
Thanks and happy holidays everyone!

I also have a 32GB microsd and haven't had any problems myself. Been on this ROM for a few days. It's been downloaded quite a few times and haven't had anyone else complain.
On stock kernel? If yes then sounds odd
Try a fresh install is all I can suggest or get a logcat

If I helped hit thanks!
Ok guys, made a clean install from scratch yesterday and the problem is virtually gone, just one sod after a couple of hours of inactivity. However Media Server app is killing my battery, will not cease for hours consuming from 40 to 50%, doing some research they suggest changing sd card and empty it at all, which I've done unsuccessfully.
Could be somehow related? Is it just me having this weird behaviour?
Thanks in advance!

That's expected behaviour on a clean install. Android needs several hours to build all databases. Including media database.
Just wait another charge and see if it gets better

Well, it happened again today´s morning, I´m kind of frustrated here... when everything seemed to be running at last fine and smooth... So I ran the Repair Phone from the PC Companion which just installed the same version that I previously had, .233. And now the waiting.
My T is bootloader locked and no cpu manage apps.
Here a screenshot of the logcat from the aLogcat app just before the last crash.
Will update how is going after the companion repair, and if it continues then will be hardware related I think.
However any advice is always welcome, thanks!
EDIT: Same issue after Companion Phone Repair, and the same at night when entering deep sleep mode. So I've downloaded an app to prevent my T from going to deep sleep and seems to be working.
By the way wise guys any of you have a clue in how often or after how many minutes in lockscreen the phone will go to deep sleep? No info at all in the web and, baseband 33 is supposed to work fine in every network around the globe? I know of course they are location specific but can't find much about radios.
Thanks for helping!

I had some problems with my music database and had to clear the media storage app's database and then reboot the phone to rescan. When I did that the phone battery drained pretty fast for 30 mins or so and then settled down - and media server was shown by batt stats to have done most of the draining.
This might be linked to your problem. If your SD card has corruption on it then the media scanning may get part way through and get stuck, eventually causing a system issue that causes the SoD. It might not even be a corrupt file but some issue when it encounters a particular file due to a bug in the program.
My advice would be to backup card content, reformat and copy files back on slowly over a number of days to see if the SoD issue of happens after a particular file is copied onto the card.
Reformat is an important step here. If you empty your card and just copy the files back on it isn't a clean file system. Reformatting will give you a freshly initialised card to work from.
Thanks for the advise emuX, despite of have done this I could not get it to work. The SOD continued and every day it got worse. So I dropped my T to service via carrier. They held my device for a couple of days to find out that the hardware (just as I suspected) was the guilty department of these sod´s.
In fact they were not able to run a ftf or "flash cam" (never heard of that) since the hardware keys were not responding any more.
An exceptional case so far in the T but of course really annoying and disappointing.
They are to change my device as soon as they arrive, given they are sold out in my specific carrier store.
This could happen to any random device and there´s no software solution or walkthrough. If you have these symptoms do not hesitate to get an Exchange phone from your carrier. Hoping of course that will be the good one, just like me...
Flashing generics ftf´s, rooting, unlocking bootloader (officially done) etc, has nothing to do with this, it´s not somehow related and is not guilty of this bad. (Well, that said by the sony guy) Good luck with your device.
Happy holidays!

Hi everybody well... Again writing from my new T and guess what... The same issue again so dont really know what could be happening. From now I'll be looking from Sony Support advise since this is inaceptable indeed.

Hi, i dont have any adw launcher, any SD card.Nothing just plain system.. And guess what.1.time when this happend to me was after when i open the box with new phone unbox it ,charge battery, after that power on my device play with phone maybe 10 minutes (it was without sim card, without,sd card, just on wifi). After that i leaved new phone on the table maybe for 20 minutes and than i couldnt wake up my phone -just with volumeUP+power.
So I dont think so its problem with some app or launcher....i think i need to change present sony to another sony xperia t and i will see. I think its a hardware problem...
Then you really really have some bad luck mate. Hope your next XT goes better. I personally never had an sod. So musty be either an app or hardware. Maybe some carrier app? Don't know which carrier you are on, and which carrier any other user with sod has.

Any news ? Today i will reclaim my phone so we will see whats going on..
I've had the same issue. Took my first t back and got it swapped. This one's not doing bad so far. Only issue I have is the fact that I've fitted a 16g sd card and no matter what I do files that I have moved onto the ext card always end up back on the original card. Don't know how to resolve this.

Hello again guys, updating this thread well... I´ve got to tell you, I´ve tried everything to live with this *** issue, with no need for this of course, and non of my "tricks" have given relief for it.
Installed wakelock apks to prevent this SOD or Sudden death, wathever... Obligate my T to stay awake by using EVERY SINGLE MINUTE doing whatever it took and usually didn´t know what to keep it that way.
Not to say I tried flashing ftf´s from here to there expecting that could be the expected medicine. Nothing worked.
So today I finally got an exchange phone from warranty at my carrier and got a SGS3, can´t be happier.
Despite of knowing some sIII have begun behaving bad as the T, my III doesn´t seem to match the faulty criteria and I´m enjoying a very reliable phone.
A blazzing fast, Bond deserved phone.
I noticed that this bug happens very rarely when I disable the wi-fi and normally it happens when I receive the notification of an upgrade from the Play Store.
While the wi-fi is enabled the SOD happens almost every 30 minutes.
Does it happens to somebody else?
Hi Folks, I hve had my note for 1 year now and haven't had any battery problems until 2 days ago when I flashed a jb rom. All was fine for about 10 hours when I started to recharge the battery again that went fine, charged to 100% and unplugged, the phone said it was at 100%. After another few hours the phone cut out, no warning just cut out. I could get the phone back on but only when plugged into the charger. So, heres my problem, phone says battery is fully charged but when I unplug the charger it cuts out now. if I boot in to recovery with out the charger it stays on for hours. if I try to start the phone up normally with out charger it doesn't work. I have tried another battery again it started fine for almost a day then the same problems again. I have tried several kernels and roms in case it was one of those that was causing the problem but its the same every time. Im not a newb when it comes to flashing roms some im 100% sure its all ok in that department. any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Graham

What really matters here is your screen on time (I can get around 4h30 with heavy use). I also see you have a few notifications so there might be some draining apps running in the background (like that *** Facebook app which is constantly running in the background even with notifications off). In any case BBS should help you identify the "rogue" app (if any). Also I don't use Google Now as it's kind of a battery killer.
this problem is same with me...after 1 year use gnote
and this is battery problem..i dont know whats is causing it...
i try to enter recovery mode and ..battery is good..almost 4 hours screen on recovery mode
but if I try to start the phone up normally phone is reboot after 1minute in homescreen android
trying with different rom jb ..same problem ..
after replace my battery ..problem is gone..
@strachg If the phone used to work well before you flashed JB I'd recommend going back to ICS to see if the problem persists. If it disappears the reason is JB which would not supprise me since all JB roms for the Note are not really bug free. If the phone continues to behave like you described and changing the battery does not help either I'd say it's a hardware failure.

Hi, Yeah I already tried going back to ics and it was just the same, it just seems like a bit of coincidence and really annoying lol. The only thing I can think off that is causing it is as you say that its a hardware fault and it must be overcharging the battery and breaking it. If it was JB that was causing it im sure I wouldn't have been the only one by now.
thanks
Graham
how did you install jb? Was it clean on safe kernel? You havent eliminated the possibility of software issues.
Qazibazit, it looks ok.
Guideline 3,5-4,5 hours on screen time is normal (if you play games can be less, thus is from full to 1%). Total standby time, usually more then 24 hours is normal.
If you have a lot less, go read ahalfords sticky on wakelocks. All you need to know to optimize battery.

Hi baz 77 yeah using safe kernel, tried a few actually. And using utackas. Version of paranoid android now again tried a few Roms. Everything was wiped and redone the process about 20 times. I looked through all the roms. And kernel threads and no one has had this problem. New battery coming so will see how it goes now.

I've tried several different firmwares. Belgian, Italian, CE, etc. I've done factory rewipes, I've gotten root, I've removed root. Whatever I do, the phone is possessed. It randomly turns off completely or it reboots. Sometimes when using the internet, sometimes when trying to open the lockscreen, sometimes when I simply touch the screen! Anybody having the same problems? Any solutions?

Nope. 4.1 was perfect!
Try to remove your SD card.
If it doesn't work, then try to format internal storage.
If it doesn't work, then make a factory reset and install your app one by one, because there could be one that gives issues with the new system.

There's something wrong with your hardware
Do you have your bootloader unlocked?
The power control function of the battery is dead on your device.
The reason I asked if you had tried 4.1 since is for me upgrading to 141 last year I had the same issue and so did a lot of others. The T is very prone to this failure, it can happen thorough everyday use but more commonly appears to happen post major update.
Very simple to rectify, if under warranty Sony will replace as they did with me, if no warranty you need to buy a new battery and replace it(plenty of guides on youtube.)

Already tried that. I think Wobba-Lee was correct. Somehow the update can fry the battery sensor.
I've had this happen before and found the SIM card had moved slightly. Removing it and refitting it solved the issue.

I'm very happy with lollipop, if you are not happy with it you can go back to kitkat in a almost easy way. Only "problem" I've got is a little less battery lifetime but that could also be a problem of the age of my battery. All other features work so far.

I'm using the stock, not KNOX tripped G880F with abdroid 5.1.1. and I'm happy with it. No risk in Updating from Android 4. I updated right after buying the phone earlier this year. So it was a clean install.
Nevertheless an official update to Marsmallow would also be nice. But since I recently bought the phone, there's no reason for me to trigger KNOX on a working phone, with the risk of loosing my guarantee.
I am using Lollipop for 3 months now. It's a very good OS, I like it but there are 2 things that sometimes occur - 1: when awaking the phone and trying to unlock it I sometimes get "The Fingerprint sensor is not responding. Try again later" and you need a password to unlock your device so it can occur to you. 2: it sometimes lags very hard. It doesn't matter what I do and it occurs different times. In one time, I got it 1 time in a week but after it i got 2 in a day(but after then it's only 1-2 a week again). It can be my phone or I need to do factory reset, IDK. Anyways, I haven't seen any more bugs/glitches/etc.
