Nexus S uses same battery as other Galaxy S phones?
I have 3 batteries for my Captivate and am planning to "upgrade" to a Nexus S. Does anyone know if it uses the same batteries as the Captivate and other Galaxy S phones? Just want to know if I should order and extra when I buy it online.
Is this the same as yours?

No. *curses*
I am wondering.
Sprint corp store is selling Epic (SGS) battery with charger for $50, and I can take $10 off if I buy two of them.
Perhaps next Thursday will get definite answer.
No. This has been asked elsewhere. Sadly. I own 4 vibrant batteries ;(
Really? That's surprising... I thought all the Galaxy S devices used the same battery... Can't believe Samsung would change it for this phone when they changed so little else.

It's pretty dumb if it's true because most of us consider NS as part of SGS family.
To keep information distinctive, I have to open a new post.
According to this youtube video (at 2:23)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1N-Pbd1xh0
The battery model is AB653850CA, which is same as Samsung Moment, i7500, or BH II!
I have 2 of them on hand (though BH II is gone for good).

Hmm.... why would they do that? Or is the nexus s battery different because it's improved?

I am wondering same thing.
SGS battery should be thinner than Behold II/Moment one, but as long as the capacity stays the same, it's OK I think (I have a Behold II battery even the phone is gone).
unfortunately they use different batteries
I was hoping they were the same as well.
I've already ordered new batteries and offline charger online

Note sure if this is a demo unit, but I really hope that the Note 3 will come with all the items from the international version (headphones, S-pen manual, etc).

whhhyyy would they do that!?
I got the note 1and 2 never no earbuds, att doesnt include them,I would suspect no spen tips either.I think its kind of ridiculous that you pay 300 or full price for the phone and they take them out.I just got the tmobile version to use on att everything comes in the package earbuds spen tips everything samsung includes

From the pics in the other thread, it looks like they include the s-pen tips. Maybe they leave out the headphones so they can sell you theirs...

What makes it even worse is that some att phone include ALL of this stuff haha. The s4 had everything. My old HTC One came with a bunch of random stickers and stuff but the notes are lucky to come in a box at all haha

I chatted with an AT&T customer person and they confirmed that it does not come with them. Also she mentioned that it is not their fault, but Samsung. I'm going to call Samsung and complaint.
They always come in AT&T packaging. If you want to buy it retail, you can. Probably not now. but with a carrier, they order what's "needed only" to get a good bulk pricing. The rest of the accessories can be purchased at a premium there or else where. But when you buying in volume, you just want the basics to get more for your money, even if its selling to the consumer at the same cost with the headphone and fancy Samsung packaging.
Blame AT&T. Samsung just fulfilling their order.
It comes with the spen tips.

This is incorrect. The S3, HTC One, and S4 came in original packaging with all accessories. Was hoping AT&T was getting away from being so cheap.

I saw a T-Mobile unboxing and it came with extra S-pen tips and headphones. The headphones aren't the greatest, but I don't see how Samsung can be to blame when other U.S. carriers are getting both? I really hope ATT doesn't use that glossy eyesore they call a box.
EDIT: Damn...just dug through the shipping thread and found the pics. I'm sure it's smaller, but I doubt there's anything "green" about a colored up box vs. a fully recycled one.

First thing first I like this phone a lot.
I am however disappointing at AT&T for doing what they did to the packaging. I'm not sure why they didn't just leave it in the original packaging and left the damn headphones.
Warning!! I just came across this at work when my co-worker asked me to set up his phone. I realized something was wrong when I saw the screen and size of this note 4. I decided to show it off for those who is considering picking up one from ebay or Craigslist. See the comparison from a real note 4 and see for yourself. There's no real difference w/ the software but the hardware might be a concern since the battery(charger) is not Original it might blow-up or melt. The fake one is really flaky and has weird vibration and I would not recommend using it at ALL!!
yes yes we know all about the fakes for months. they are pretty good and not going to blow up on you.
also they are a good deal at $160 incl shipping from china.

you dont get random vibrations from it. the clone is a normal HDC manufactured 3G stock android phone with a note 4 "skin". You can root it. i've bought both a clone (910Fake off dhgate) and real (910U off ebay). they are both good.
Your clone is defective if it gives you random vibrations. Get it exchanged or replace it.

Unfortunately, some people aren't good at this and buy from Craiglist or somewhere with a no return policy so this helps them out to figure from the fakes. BTW, like I stated it's my co-worker not mines. I told him already it's fake.

I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 off of Swappa, but when I received it, it had the damned ddi: mmc read error problem that I have read up on and found is a hardware issue. My question is if anyone know a place to buy this phone that is new or at least refurbished by Samsung. Preferably the T-Mobile Carrier version because I want to keep an unlocked bootloader. Especially looking for people who ran into the same issue and were able to find a seller with a phone that didn't have aforementioned problems. I am just really unsure about places as I really want to have the Note 4, best Samsung device IMO, and hoping someone can help.
If Gazelle sells them, I would trust them. I'm just about to send my Note 4 back to tmobile for trade in. Not sure exactly what happens to those phones. My 4 is on excellent condition so they shouldn't have to do too much.. excepting I of course tripped Knox. Not sure what they do about that.

I know for a fact that tmobile sells refurbished note 4's for 400 bones
Should be a ton of them out there somewhere, along with spare parts, considering n5 was never released in Europe.

Hi I purchased last week from swappa. So far no problems and it includes a 30 day money back guarantee... Check out the seller MyteCell LLC. If they have any problem they will let you know. Response is very quick. Hope this helps

There are at least two T-Mobile stores in the Atlanta area selling what they say are NEW Note 4s, one had them on display, the other said they had them in the back, but they weren't on display. Call a few in your area and ask.
I would only by one recertification with a warranty!

Oh, wait, my bad, different person. Okay, I'm PMing it now.
Sorry!
I'm buying a note 4 today and its for sprint but its unlocked. I'm on Tmobile .
When I root and ROM it does the ROM need to be sprint ROMs or can it be Tmobile ROMs ? Or can I flash any ROM since its unlocked?
I’ve been seeing recently that there are demo units in the wild.
Question is: Are Samsung live demo units full phones with demo software (like Huawei P20 was) or are they missing anything?
Wondering just in case I see a cheap one on eBay.
Most demo units won't have a SIM slot/ cellular networking services

Thoughts on a motherboard swap?
As in get a fully functioning motherboard and put it into the live demo?
I presume the cellular and sim reader would be on the motherboard so in theory it would work? Provide the demo rom is flashed with official.
In theory yes. Because that's usually the only difference between a demo and a live unit.

Sounds very complex, better off buying it out imo. Be so screwed if the motherboard had a bad imei.
Come to think of it, I don’t even think phone companies sell replacement motherboards?
That's what my current phone is (Note5) bought it off eBay and come to find out it's a T-Mobile Note 5 with a motherboard swap from a UAE Note 5 (N920C). Haven't had a single issue with it

It's possible to find them but I think they would be scavenged for the most part from a parts phone. The power of eBay and Amazon. ?

Sorry I didn't try to confuse anybody, it was my humorous way to point out the deceitful and shady practices of some ebay(also Amazon), 3 party sellers who would sometimes unscrupulously "sell a brick" to rip off their unsuspecting victims(customers). In this particular case they may try selling a dummy drones of the real Galaxy 10.
Was looking at a Gmate Smart device. Apparently it gives cellular connectivity to demo phones without the need to swap motherboards. Just connects via Bluetooth. Can’t seem to find one with 4G tho, otherwise I’d almost consider buying one paired with a LDU.

Nothing like multiple posts is there? CDMA is a type of phone network not a phone so it's not the same as LIVE DEMO. I've seen some of those phones without a modem which will never work and some that work after flashing the correct firmware. Just make sure the seller takes returns.
S10 Live demo units are repairable.
