Which US mobile carrier works on LG P880 with high speed data?
I don't want to burn my pockets so prepaid plan from straight talk for $50 looks good. It has unlimited everything. Does it work on 3g speeds on LG P880?
Suggesstions for unlimited prepaid plans from other carriers are also welcome.
Thanks

Dang it! Here in Norway that costs 150-200$ per month!

I personally use AT&T and I'm on their prepaid $50/ month with everything unlimited. Yup unlimited minutes, text, and data. And I avg about 10GBs of data each month. Speeds I get are pretty decent. Between 3-12mbps from where I live. SoCal.

I just got my p880 it won't let me change the apn. It lists 3 options,
ATT PHONE
ATT WAP
ATT BROADBAND
The only one that is selectable is att phone and I can't get data with that. I've tried manually entering the apn, but it still doesn't let me select it.
Any suggestions?

Guys/Girls,
For some strange reason I don't have an option for GSM (2G mode) only, I'm on three, anyone else have this same issue?
The problem I have is in my house my signal isn't great, I flick between 3G to browse the internet (as have no WiFi atm until Sky install it), but most of the time my phone will switch to 2G (roaming) which I have almost full signal when this happens. Though when I need to switch from 2G or 3G our visa versa the only way I can do it is search for network's then choose 3G or 2G on three, is there an alternative method?
I've downloaded tasker so I can set up my phone to switch to 2G and stay in that mode when I get home, when I get WiFi, though I'm trying to get my head around it atm. Can tasker solve my problem with a widget etc?
Thanks in advance!

That makes perfect sense now, not sure why I didn't think of that. Though my phone still falls back to a 2G network it just means I don't get a choice if it does it or not.

For tasker you need to be rooted. You need to resign the rom then you can install toggle 2g by themasterbarron which gives a plug in to work with tasker

You are lucky.. Where am the fall back was totally removed so there was no 2g service of any type as there is reasonable 3g coverage. But the signal never carried into my house
3 will remove the ability country wide at some point because the 2g service is provided by another carrier by roaming agreements which obviously costs 3

Make sure to report back your findings in case you unbrand your device.

You have to obtain a SIM unlock code. You can either call at&t if your the original owner and get one for free. I go overseas a lot so they gave it to me. Or you can obtain one for a price online.
If the phone is or gets blacklisted, it won't work on at&t or tmobile anymore.
It will work. I did it.
However, the service is not as good as a full blown T-Mobile phone and there will be no wifi calling. I am debatig on selling this and buying the T-Mobile brand phone...
If you do not care about wifi calling you can install the T-Mobile Rom on the ATT Note 3. I did and the phone service was much better.

It is fairly straightforward. Was easy to install.
Once I installed the TMO os on the phone it WORKED BETTER. Again, I cannot wifi call but adding the tmo carrier option via the Modificatinator helped a lot and it FIXED THE GPS issue. It's obvious the GPS issue is ATT related. Was not easy adding the additional TMO carrier options on the Modificatinator but once figured it was cake.
Yep and then some
It will most certainly work on T-Mobile if you ended your contract/relationship with ATT legally/appropriately. Visit - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485441 for some really important information while switching. There are changes to build.prop that can improve 4G speed , reception , etc.

Unfortunately, I've tried this, and it's a no-go. If you try to use the prepaid SIM with the pay-as-you-use plan you will find that for smartphones there is no data connection available. It can only be used for text's and calls on ATT's network. It's ATT's nasty way or preventing people from doing exactly what we want to do.
