Is your phone in " fastboot usb" mode when you try to flash token?
Sent from my HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio X315e using xda app-developers app

is your bootloader/fastboot in fastboot-usb mode?
And if it is, I can only recommend this: Start your phone again and select in settings "USB Debugging". Connect your phone to your Computer and type in "adb devices" in the console. If your phone still ain't appear you made sth. wrong with the drivers. (I had that issue, too but I don't remember what I did :S ) You can try to close HTC Sync if it's still running or you can try to uninstall the whole HTC sync and install them from the Runnymede AIO tool which can be found in our Sensation XL Development forum.

Sv: [Q] root htc sensation xl
You need to uninstall HTC sync after you had been in fast boot USB mode. Sometimes it gives problems.

Im new in this stuff,but i want to lern about it.
You can't change your ROM by using soft-root. You need a full root, which is possibly coming soon, to do this.

Your best bet is to transfer it over usb to the SD card or download the files using your phone or use dropbox

when it crashes you are rooted until you reboot. then you have to run the app again. note: it is meant to crash and you will need this app

HTC Vivid bootloader will not unlock! (HTCdev method)

I just bought a HTC Vivid and am trying to root but I cannot unlock the bootloader. I am doing everything according to HTCdev.com but when I get to the CMD part it will not send the code. I copy and paste it just like it tells me to but instead of sending the code, it says waiting for device? Me and this guy (more experienced than me) have been stumped for the last 3 days.
are you using the cord that came with the phone? what operating system is the computer you are trying to use? are you plugged into a usb on the back of the motherboard? And if you are in hboot what does it show on your screen?

No but I am using a Samsung cord with USB capabilities. I have windows 7. Yes I am plugged into the USB port on my phone. It shows "FASTBOOT USB"
Try the original cord and a different port. May also check you have the right drivers installed

I have HTC Sync drivers installed and I'm not sure where I can get a oem cord. Really don't to spend money and buy one on the internet. I have also tried all the usb ports on my computer. My computer is a Gateway NV55S03u if it helps.
Reinstall or install android SDK and make its working perfectly that is your problem.

When you boot into bootloader mode, and choose Fastboot, then connect your phone to the PC USB, run "fastboot devices" to see if the phone is recognized. It should return a line with some info... should look almost like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If it returns nothing, then maybe you just need to reinstall the drivers (as said above).

Fair enough
I have downloaded Rumrunner
- Get as far as Waiting for ADB but keeps rebooting (x/120)
Then just fails.
Now is there drivers I am supposed to be downloading or something else to be done?
^ Any help here?
There is a s-off guide on HTC General info it's called rumrunner soff it explains it all there. But u need updated adb and fastboot I've used android sdk. HTC drivers u can either find them in the forums or what I did in the end was deleted everything to do with HTC off my laptop HTC sync drivers etc then plugged phone back in to make sure each driver successfully installed. Obviously u need to unlock with htcdev. Install custom recovery and follow rumrunner instructions. Which are at rumrunner.us or follow the many rumrunner guides on xda you need the corresponding firmware

Need Help on Adb sideload?

Hello Guys.
The old situation as usual,have no os,and trying to use adb sideload.
Problem is I have tried two different systems,installed latest htc drivers and none installs the driver properly as a result have an error no device found always.
CWM recovery 6.0.4.6
S-Off with unlocked bootloader.
Suggestions?
Or better links to drivers etc?
Oh yeah I have been using my One X + toolkit for the process(It works all the time)
