Clarivue HD glass screen protector review - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Just got mine last night. Was not sure about spending $30 on a screen protector. Glad I did, glass seems like it could stop a bullet.
Easy application that fits the screen perfectly. Only had two small air bubles which went away overnight.
Amazing how good it keeps fingerprints and smears off the glass.
Most wont spend the money but im glad I did

The product looks awesome, any issues with the S pen?

Not a one

How's the coverage?

About 95% the curves dont allow for 100% but it covers enough to prevent any damage.

The edges of the protector on the phone. How it looks at an angle in the light to see the surface. Close up to see clarity if it affects screen at all etc. 4 or 5 pics is enough cheers

update and pics pls. trying to decide between this or the mime.

Any update? Do all the edges properly adhere to the screen with no lift? And some pictures would be nice if it's not to much to ask for.

1. is it totally clear, or does it have color frame.
2. can the screen protector stick all over (no air space underneath the edge and the button)?
3. coverage (it's OK if it has couple of millimeters of space from the sides).

I talked with the folks at clarivue by live chat and they told me that is not colored border.

It's totally clear. You can get a perfect fit if you don't get dust trapped underneath. Mine isn't 100% perfect, but it is sitting well on edges. Coverage hada few millimeters from the edge.

That's pretty I might do that to my SGSII... then who will be the jealous one?
They actually just released a white version of the Optimus 3D not too long ago http://youtu.be/_Q7bpQjpq74
Edit: here is some more information on it http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_optimus_3d_now_available_in_white_from_phones_4u_in_the_uk-news-3055.php
I've seen that. And I started out just doing my battery cover as well.. but I like all the white on the front and around the bezel too
And so I have spoken it.. and so it shall be.
That looks awesome. Great job. How hard was it to disassemble the phone and put it back together? I am thinking of doing this but painting it blue or green instead of white.
Taking it apart and putting it back together is really easy. Just find a video on YouTube to be safe.
And so I have spoken it.. and so it shall be.
I just saw the video posted above but I agree that it looks way better with white on the front, good stuff. I used to take my iPhone apart all the time to fix or replace broken parts before I got this phone. Just watched videos on YouTube like you said and its a piece of cake

What type of paint spray did you use?
Sent from my LG-P925 using XDA
Fast dry interior / exterior all surface paint
And so I have spoken it.. and so it shall be.
Did you ha e to sand it down or just painted. Over it?
Sent from my LG-P925 using XDA
I took it completely apart and sanded it with 200 grit... then I sprayed on grey primer and sanded it down so it was all smooth and applied two coats of white. And one coat of clear.
Edges are hard. So before I peeled off the tape I too a precision hobby knife and cut around the edges so that the would be straight and smooth when I peeled of the tape.
And so I have spoken it.. and so it shall be.

Been thru 5 Cases - This one is a keeper! -added VIDEO

Contents well protected and packaged. includes screen protector.
I've been thru about 5 cases - My favorite.
It's a Hard case, but covers most of the TOP and Bottom. Perfect fit. Rubberish feel on outside. Slim, sleek, and sexy.

Had one similar to this one, same covered area, one drop on concrete and the screen was gone. So while it looks nice, it offers no protection against drops, be careful.

Hmm... It seems the device won't survive a drop with this case...
I don't think most cases are designed to protect from falls...only day to day wear and scratches.

Made phone look bulky.

Slim, and a good compromise between size and protection with the looks.

FYI I don't use it. it pulls up the screen protector like crazy and the bottom part kind of flaps in the wind. ( It's very sloppy on the bottom)
Go away spammer, post your junk elsewhere.
Haha harsh, I don't find the case bad looking lol and idk though I myself have a hard time trusting cases not made by otterbox or ballistic, at least when it comes to ruggedized cases with dual layers

I was pretty much planning to alter it if I ended up buying it. Basically to remove the flap that covers the bottom, and I had no intentions to use a screen protector.
I have quite a few different cases I was looking at, but this was just a curiosity
Love how everyone here is trolling me. Hope you guys find it amusing because I do not. If you had nothing to contribute to the thread, then you should have just ignored it. Thanks frogman, for being courteous.

My bad, I thought you were spamming and trying to promote your own product here.
Personally though, not a fan of these types of cases. They're really bulky and I think they completely ruin the look of the phone and makes it look cheap.
I don't sell anything online. I'm just looking for something that with offer a decent amount of protection. I don't want a lot of bulk, but I want something that is sturdy enough offer that much. I've seen drops cracking the screen and figured I may as well look for a case to pop the phone in when I get it. I don't usually punish my phones, but I figured I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda app-developers app
i have the otterbox defender. I dropped it onto my garage floor from about shoulder height, not really sure how, just did, and the phone landed pretty much on the corner and the phone was fine.
got it off ebay for 40.
I was looking at the otterbox too. Not too sure though. Ob are usually really bulky. :/

don't take it to the beach!

Well, if you do, be prepared to spend half an hour using the edge of a piece of paper to remove all of the sand from between the screen and silver edge of the phone.
Can't you just simply watch it as it is water resistant ?

I tried that. The individual grains of sand get stuck in the tiny groove and won't wash out.

Well, I literally sucked some of the sand out with my mouth, so there's that. A lot of it was still stuck under the edge of the screen, but I eventually got it all out with the edge of a sheet of paper. I might try a vacuum next time.
yeahhhh ive got the same problem.. its such a hassle especially if the grain of sand is the same exact dimensions as the gap its as if it was wedged in there permanently!!
sometimes the grain of sand thats stuck it there cuts my cheek when i answer the phone lol
i would suggest a toothpick or a sewing needle.. worked for 99.9% of mine!

I was too scared to try anything pointy. If the toothpick/needle didn't get the last grains out, try computer paper, notebook paper, and then try each of them folder over one time (to create a sort of "scooper" that will fit in the groove). This got me completely sand free.

Kind of laying low. I have a N3 and N10.1-14 that I'm pretty happy with and nothing on the market or coming is enticing enough to give me the new device itch. I'll probably get the Note 4 when it comes out. More out of reflex than anything else. My 3G N10.1-14 is my favorite device of all time.

Glad to hear it and thanks for coming back to my question
I have/had the this case as well. The back of the case is more of a transparent matted look/texture. The case CAN be scratched. As for swirls on the case, unless you're spinning your case on a rough surface, I don't see how it can swirl. But yes, the back surface on the case can be scratched.
As for the case actually scratching the phone? The only way that is possible if some type of debris gets between the phone and the case. I used the case for about 2 weeks and did not have any issues with the case causing any type of scratches/swirls on the phone.
He said it right....over time the case will age and get scratches however for a diminutive case it has decent impact protection.
