I have an SGS flashed with 2.3.4 XXJVP . What do i need to do to root my phone. Will I use my apps and things ?????

I recently bought GT-S5830i.. i am very curious on rooting my phone! But scared from bricking it!!
I jus wanted to knw if it works fully in case of CM 7.2Z

If you flash a custom ROM other than the retribution ROM, your phone will be bricked

what is a retribution ROM? And CM 7.2 is custom ROM right?

There is no fully working CM7.2 for your Ace!
The only rom which is available for you is retribution rom!

So? Your main aim is to upgrade to upgrade to 2.3.7 or what?
Retribution Rom will make your phone faster than stock 2.3.6 anyway!

Fedevd is part of TeamCanjica, so is CoCafe, so I think they all working on those projects together or something...
