My phone won't start - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I was installing this rom on my phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543521 and when it finished installing, I normally pressed reboot. It usually takes a few minutes for the first time to start, but after about 15-20 minutes i thought there was something wrong, so I tried to reboot, and now my phone wont start. I can' get pass ANDROID screen.
Can anyone help me with this?

Did you do factory reset before flashing?

You are in bootloop .
Here is solution.
Go in recovery and do:
Wipe data
Wipe cache
Advanced->Wipe Dalvik cache
And then reboot

The problem was that i couldn't go in recovery mode. After some trying I finally did. So thank you for your answer. I still don't know why doesn't this rom work for me because i tried to install it again but it was the same as previously. So now I installed some other rom, the one I had before, because now I'm afraid to try other roms.

Dont be afraid to try other roms
I had same problem..i wanted to try Gingercrutz rom and i always experienced bootloop

Stuck on Boot Screen

Hi guys. Yesterday night I was installing a few new apps but the seemed to be stuck installing forever. So I decided to reboot. However, after the reboot, it never goes past the second boot screen.
I know I can just flash to another rom but is there a way to save my data in the instance? I can still get into recovery mode if that helps. Thanks
I've read you can hook up to your pc and mount your sdcard from cwm. Never tried it but if it works you can save your data that way then maybe a master clear/cache or dalvik wipe will help.

You can mount USB in recovery and get all your stuff off of your SD that way. You can also nandroid your current ROM in CWM and re-flash it, then restore from backup. As far as saving texts and all that, Idk if you can, but I'm sure someone else does.
Also, you could try clearing dalvik, cache, and then running the kernel cleaning script. It's gotten me out of a few binds before. It might help you to where you wouldn't have to flash again.

Boot loops everytime

When i try to flash a stock firmware particularly XXKPK after i see the PASS i disconnect the usb cable and wait for phone to start but it keep restarting to samsung animastion.
I am now waiting for 10 minutes and it is just the same. I followed the exact procedures from this article http://droidangel.blogspot.com/2011/08/samsung-galaxy-mini-s5570xxkpk-android.html
But i can't get to Region selection screen. First i had to do something else to pass the boot loop. I don't remember what i did before but i guess i did a wipe system and cache from recovery and after that i could went inside.
Is this normal or should i pass boot loop after flashing without wiping cache and system...
its normal..
But in the guide writer only mentioned about wiping the cache. And he/she said it after selecting the regional settings. Thats why i got confused.
after flashing, pull out the battery,
put it in again,
turn on into recovery mode,
wipe cache and system/data,
reboot now.
if still bootloop,
try flashing again.

Usually it will bootloop maximum 3 times. Try wipe your data, cache and dalvic first before you flash

I did experienced same problem with this case, I just reflash the firmware and it worked like a charm.

[Q] Boot Loop After Blackrose

Hi,

Phone also reboot the first time than i just reboot it again just to be safe and now i am getting bootloops, any idea whats causing that?
Thanks again..
Try wiping everything 3 or 5 times and then flash

AttentionIf you phone boots fine the first time after flashing the ROM, but get stuck on boot after a reboot. Remove battery or press "Vol-down+trackpad+power" and hard-reboot the phone. After that it should work just fine

[Q] [Problem] cant access /data

Hi!
My device seems bricked and I have a problem accessing /data.
I'll give you the background...
I'm using cyanogenmod 5.5.0.2 and cyanogenmod 9.
I've been using my device with the these settings for well over a month.
In that time I had some issues with the device shutting down when it was charging, other than that everything has worked flawlessly.
Today it shutdown when I was charging and when I tried to start it, it just showed the Samsung logo then it restarted.
I booted clockwork recovery and I tried several things to get it up and running again.
§ I tried wiping dalvik but that made clockwork freeze (It stops when before the no,no,no,yes,no-list should show)
§ I wiped cache partition, the wipe finished successfully.
§ I tried resetting factory settings with no success (I get the no,no,yes-list. When confirming the device hangs at "formating /data..." )
All I do from clockwork connected to /data and the sd-card freezes the device.
I'm at a complete stop, I have no clue going foreward.
Can anyone help me? That would be much appreciated, and I would love you for it!
Thanks, Jon
I would try to flash the stock rom thru Odin. Get the original honeycomb rom. You can get that at sammobile.com. you'll have to extract the .tar.md5 file out of the zip you'll download. Use 7-zip for that.
Back everything up first and you'll have to rebuild from the stock hc.

Oh god, thanks! It worked.
Or rather, the odin flash failed but somehow that kicked the /data into working mode.
Thanks for you respons <3
Should I put solved tag on the thread?

[Q] Bootloop - Samsung Galaxy S5830 B with CM10.1.6

Hello all
First of all, I'd like to say that I've spent a lot of time searching through XDA and other websites on the internet, and so far I didn't find a solution to my problem, and that's why I'm creating this new thread.
I have a Galaxy Ace S5830B and just flashed Mardon's version of CM10.1.6 ROM in it, following every single step on his guide, using CWM 5.0.2.6.
I made sure that before flashing the new ROM I wiped the whole thing, clearing cache, dalvik cache, formatting /system and doing the factory reset.
I did not manually flash any kernel.
Everything runs smoothly and ok, just like all compliments the ROM gets on his topic, except for when I have to shut the phone down.
Once it is shut down and I'm powering it back on it gets into a boot loop that won't go past the Samsung logo. It means that the Samsung logo goes on, fades off and then it loops back to it, and the Cyanogenmod blue circle loading animation never comes.
It only works when I get back into CWM and hit "reboot system now" . Then it reboots normally.
I'd just like it to act normally, booting normally straight from a powered off state without having to go through CWM everytime I need to switch the phone on. That's because it's my father's phone, and having him getting into CWM every now and then after a battery run off is too risky, you know what I mean.
Any help will be very very much appreciated.
Thank you
Riggs

When you are using CM10.1 by Mardon, NEVER WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET!! ...You should fix your problem flashing again the rom
The ROMs are already preconfigured and when you wipe data/factory reset, all those settings will be lost and the device won't be able to boot successfully again
Oh, nice to know that! I'll try it soon, then I'll post the results.
