Hi @ll,
I did not post before so I can't post in Philz' Threat.
I've got a question and i hope someone can help me.
I want to flash Philz' safe kernel based on the stock lsz kernel. In case of warrenty repair i want to flash the original kernel back.
I have a nandroid backup with "boot.img" and i have zimage.zip. But where i can find a flashable zip with the original lsz kernel, so i can flash in with cwm?
Thanks a lot and greetz from Germany

Is Philz threating you?? ( "...I can't post in Philz' Threat...") LOL
Yes, kernel can be flashed with PC Odin if you are willing to revert to stock kernel. You can extract zimage from the stock firmware in Dr. Ketan's thread or sammobile.com and flash it as a PDA in Odin.

PC odin wont take a zimage.. it needs a tar file. You need to use mobile odin.. select the zimage in kernel tab.

I prefer to flash the signed Zip from recovery So you will not get the yellow triangle as in odin …
Then you can flash the fixed boot loop zip
flashing with mobile odin wont raise the counter

I had imilka for a while! you flashed it over i9220 leaked repack right?
you should have read the hardbrick warning
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633943
imilka used kernel from those i9220 leaks and those were corrupt and if you flashed or wiped anything in CWM you probably bricked your phone!
you should have flashed new kernel via ODIN
you could still try to flash stock rom via ODIN!
you can find stock roms here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
best of luck with the note!
okay, now i see, the thing is... if you can get into download mode ur not hardbricked, i have hope, i will succeed! guys on ics GET BACK TO GB BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!

the case with these ICS releases and kernel is that you can access download mode but when you're trying to flash through odin it gets stuck, also you can access your recovery but cannot write to some blocks!
try with ODIN, if it gets stuck, that means that you have to replace your motherboard :/
yeah but which Gb rom to use,,wipe or non wipe?
I'm used to flashing this one:

you can go without the PIT file!
if you have abyss you go safe, waiting for cable and flash using odin, to rocketrom? /// edit goign for the rooted version of you mix, then go to rocket rom

flash CF-kernel LC1 (for this ROM)
go here - download LC1 kernel!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784
you have all the instructions where you need to put zImage file and what to do!
take a look at this:
"1.1. If you are already rooted
- Download the attached "InitialRootFlasher.zip" and extract it somewhere
- Download one of the CF-Root kernels, and extract it (repeat) until you end up with a zImage file
- Place the zImage file from the CF-Root kernel in the zImage folder from InitialRootFlasher
- Start "already-rooted.bat" and follow the instructions"
We can many find impressive custom kernel like franco kernel or speedmod in Note. I want to flash one of those great kernel, but just in case, I want to back up my stock kernel because maybe I need to flash It back. Could you tell how to back up my stock kernel and flash my phone back to STOCK kernel ? I have Mobile Odin but never used It yet. I think this thread is about ROM not Kernel.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
Thank you
PS :I use N7000DXLP9
As far as I know you cant backup just the kernel. But you can download it from one of the threads in development section if you ever need it again.
Does install ROM from this thread through Mobile Odin

Will bring my phone to stock kernel ? I think ROM and Kernel is different think in Android because we ROM (for example CM 9) can be flashed with different kernel.
Yes installing one of the roms you linked will also install a stock kernel.

You can try ChainFire's CF-Root kernel. That's about as closest as you can, in getting back your stock kernel without flashing back the whole ROM itself.
still the answer is not clear !

Yes, stock kernel can alone be flashed without flashing the whole rom, you can download your stock kernel from this thread and then use pc odin (in .tar format) or mobile odin (if in zimage or .tar format) to flash it.

First of all if you are in India you never got xxlsz OTA, you would have done it through odin only (unless you got it with xxlsz from someone or got it done from someone else)..once you have flashed DDLSC+root+philz kernel you will not get OTA (why would you need it if you have odin). To back up the apps and data or not it is completely your wish (you will not loose pics and songs)...it will definitely erase all the apps and data as you will do all the wipes before flashing new ROM...even if you do not do wipes you will loose apps and data

To be a "newbie" is very ofthen the excuse for being "lazy".
