First of all if you are in India you never got xxlsz OTA, you would have done it through odin only (unless you got it with xxlsz from someone or got it done from someone else)..once you have flashed DDLSC+root+philz kernel you will not get OTA (why would you need it if you have odin). To back up the apps and data or not it is completely your wish (you will not loose pics and songs)...it will definitely erase all the apps and data as you will do all the wipes before flashing new ROM...even if you do not do wipes you will loose apps and data

If you want to know everything, why are you so lazy and want other members to do all the work for you?
To be a "newbie" is very ofthen the excuse for being "lazy".
Start reading the tutorials, installation instruction and the sticky threads.
I only said to stop answering you after you asked for "explaining in detail" how to use an app where you need to press one button only.
So ask your questions - there will be other members who still help you.

how i install the LP1 ICS Repack?

hi ...
how i install the LP1 ICS Repack with mobile odin?
Install Mobile Odin and Mobile Odin's Flash Kernel - if you can't find proper kernel file for your device, buy Mobile Odin Pro and it'll do it for you.
In mobile Odin, select "select file" and browse to all 5 files included in ICS repack. After that, hit "flash". Wait untill it reboots in the recovery, after it's done - do a data wipe.
You're done.

Cheers! Enjoy your Note!

tried to flash via mobile Odin- phone restarted and booted to cwm.cwm says
Flashing...
then it reboots and doesn't continue.phone goes into bootloop.
tried KKA, KJ1 stock roms... no go. also tried directly flashing from rocket rom, obviously it failed miserably. any inputs?
Try wiping the cache and data. If it doesn't work then download KJ1 rom from Dr Ketan's thread and flash it via PC Odin.

I downloaded the ICS LP1 Repack, i got Mobile Odin too. We're supposed to install AbyssNote Kernel also, right? But when is that?
1/ Launch Mobile Odin and select ICS Repack (directly the TAR archive, it works)
2/ Flash WITH wipe, then install AbyssKernel?
3/ Install the ICS ROM we want.
I downloaded iMilka CM9 & ICS Stunner (will try that first). Please anyone confirm this is the right thing to do in the right order.

No. Modify your steps like this here-
1/ Launch Mobile Odin and select ICS Repack (directly the TAR archive, it works)
2/ Flash WITH wipe. Reboot and let rom settle. Then go to recovery. Wipe the cache/dalvik and data
3/ Install the ICS ROM we want. Wipe the cache/dalvik and data and reboot.
Thanks, however in Stunner ICS there's no MODEM we have to install our own it seems, they suggest LP5 but don't even provide links...

Why would anybody need ICS repak if you are on GB? If you are on GB rom, root it(either directly or downgrading and rooting with relevant CFRoot files - PC Odin). directly install ICS ROM of your choice via CWM(as rooting GB rom will install CWM auto matically if you have chosen right CFRoot files)

You lose root if you go directly from GB to custom ICS, hence the Repack step.

Bootlop after Rocket Rom ICS 4.1 Install [SOLVED]

Hi guys,
I have just installed Rocket Rom ICS v4.1 and have found myself in a bootloop. I can boot into recovery but i'm really worried about bricking my phone.
I have tried reflashing the abyss kernal v4.2 but it freezes on install before restarting after about 5 minutes.
I have a nanoid backup of my GB phone but as I understand it you need abyss to restore to this safely.
What would you guys suggest?
Thanks in advance for any help

You can get into recovery but you cannot reflash abyss kernel. If this is the case you can use pc odin to flash abyss. You can download the tar file from:
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/...rnel/AbyssNotekernel42CWTouchOriginalLogo.tar
You can then restore your backup once you are on abyss recovery.
It would be safer if you use pc odin to flash a GB rom.

let me just check I understand you correctly (I am new to this). I think I would rather just go back to my working GB rom. So if I just follow the guide listed in to flash the kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
and choose the N7000XXKKA English kernel, once flashed I can just restore my nanoid backup. This means I will not need the abyss kernel either?
Again thanks for the help, its greatly appreciated.

Yes, kernel can be flashed with PC Odin if you are willing to revert to stock kernel. You can extract zimage from the stock firmware in Dr. Ketan's thread or sammobile.com and flash it as a PDA in Odin.

Then you can flash the fixed boot loop zip

Stock ICS kernel is not safe, JB devs are not sure yet. So, I would recommend to flash Philz kernel in stock recovery, then reboot recovery, do a full wipe and there you can re flash stock firmware.
That is the safest way to do it. DO NOT WIPE in stock kernel.

I currently using ICS 4.0.4 and would like to use JB. I am just trying to know if there is any means, we could able to use external sd card for the update as there is option...
if you are talking about the option is android recovery 3e then No. to install a new rom you need CWM recovery, Mobile odin or PC odin.
nokiamodeln91 is right, you need cwm , or Odin for flashimg new roms
if i download the german firmware JB and flash with odin, Will i get the update NEE? Do I need to have german CSC as well to install in in my GNote which is running NEE ICS 4.0.4

I accidentally wiped out the internal memory @ ROM of my tablet ( Samsung SM-T330NU). It is now frozen on a download screen with the Android logo in the middle , I cannot turn it off or go into recovery mode with any of the usual buttons.
In addition, the PC doesn't see it, so I cannot use Odin either from the PC or the tablet.
How can I fix it? I thought I could download the stock firmware on the PC and copy it to the tablet external card, but I am not to sure how to do it. The stock firmware I was able to download is an MDS file. Can I copy it to the Ext SD card of the tablet as it is, or do I have to do something else?May be extract the files. How?
Thanks for the help
Ittiandro
Problem solved! . My tablet was able to connect to the computer with Odin and I could flash the Stock ROM . Never thought it would ! One of those wrong assumptions!
Thanks
