I am unable to turn on the vibrating feedback from the keyboard or from the soft keys. Is it possible to do that.
Also, is it possible to adjust the volume for kep presses and phone pad?
Thanks

There are many topics on here with the same question...The answer is no...If you want haptic feedback on keyboard you should get a different keyboard from Play Store...and I guess no is answer for you other question..I haven't seen that option

So what would you reccomend for a keyboard? On the Xperia Mini I used to use Xperia Keyboard (not the original one by Sony) as an add on. Is there a decent one you can reccomend for JB or specifically for S3 mini? I need haptic feedback and swipe

I saw that in some roms on various devices like Galaxy Mini, and I would like to ask you are there any way to have it on MiniCM9?
What's the point? You already have buttons and they will only take up screen space. It will just make the screen look smaller.
Dunno why, but i like them. Plus I tried them on my friend's galaxy mini and they looked cool and they would be pretty useful for me because my hardware buttons were crappy.
It is impossible to actually add new software buttons to the phone but this app might do thhe trick for ya https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smart.swkey
Thank me if i helped

That is because the hardware is compatible and the screen to. Our screen is just not abld to do that (correct me if im wrong)

It is possible. Its like a software or app. Any phone could have this with ICS even like hmm. hTC Tattoo. The screen does need something special to have them

Our hardware is not capable but the Galaxy MINI's hardware is capable? Its strange if its true... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xe1oesBIDm4&feature=related
I think its totally useless because of our phones screen size. Thoose buttons would took too much space. If your hardware buttons are broken use Button savior from market.
They would look cool, but they're pretty useless for our device!
OK I have a modded Verizon galaxy nexus with 4.0.4,in tab mode. Every thing is customized ,except one thing....with that said, I bring you to my question. Can you make a call button for the navigation menu,. My reason for that is there are two menus one on screen and the other on the navigation bar.a standard call button on that bar would make more space thus elements the on screen menu bar altogether. CAN U DO IT. send answers to [email protected] thanks.

Does the Nexus 7 have Haptic Feedback (vibration motor)?
Doesn't seem like it. Turning the volume down goes straight to silent mode.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but adjusting the volume to presumably a vibrate mode is different than haptic feedback settings on the keyboard/on screen soft keys.
I'm not running a CM9 rom on my phone at the moment, but I think the haptic feedback settings for the soft keys are in settings/sound and for the keyboard it should be in settings/language and input under settings for android keyboard.
Not sure if Jelly Bean is the same.
I could definitely see google deciding to remove the vibrate option from the os (because really, whats the point in a tablet) but i would assume that it has haptic
It doesn't have a vibration motor - I don't think there are many tablets that do.

I've had my Xoom since day one and it hasn't vibrated once so I don't think so... I haven't missed it either.

Now if it would do a little dance to a music video - that would be something!
Hi guys,
Just wanna ask if anyone is working on porting the "Tap to Wake" feature of the Xperia Tablet Z to our Z.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm9cjyvHuLg
It's a neat feature and I'm not sure if there's a hardware limitations involved here.
I just came in to look for this port exactly.
Unfortunately, my very limited dev skills aren't up to this.
Should be possible though I think.

Nah, it won't be as heavy and ugly as the N9.
If the kernel is supported its possible, like the app pgm (slide2unlock)

You can Try Using Play Store App. "Proximity Actions" It gives same type of function but using the Proximity sensors. Like you Wave your hand infront of the device and it will wake up. Same if the screen is on you can wave your hand and it will turn off the screen and lock.

I've tried this didnt work as good as it sounds for me. so a double tap on the screen would be nice.

Using this too, but not as good as the pgm when I had the nexus. We need a custom kernel for the pgm to work
You can use tap to wake with eXperience Pro
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2225790
There's a bug, though...
Sorry, but none of them work with stock xperia z kernels.
Neither eXperience nor pgm.
Tried both
Ya, tap to wake up feature in Xperia Tablet Z is working perfectly great.
Hope some expert can port it out for Xperia Z?

and important thing that until now I didn't root my xperia which I think it is important for any application to change the functions of the buttons
Has anyone succeeded to get them to work on Xperia Z1? From the thread about intelligent call handling, i installed all 4 apks, including intelligentbacklight, i implemented the smartbacklight in settings menu, but its not working. I noticed that when i change the setting from on to off, the logcat shows warning: datachanged but no participant pkg='com.android.providers.settings' uid=10352. Any ideia how can it be fixed? And about the glove mode, did somebody make a port from Xperia Z2?
We had glove mod on older android version. I don't know why we don't have it now.
And can you explain intelligent backlight.
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
Well...intelligent backlight is the feature of Xperia Z2, which keeps the screen light on while you looking at it.....similar to the Galaxy series...the devs here successfully ported the smart call features (the gestures whenever you receive a call) but the smart backlight still doesnt work...and about Glove mode....ive had the Z1 since the first release on jelly bean, and ive never had the glove mode
I had glove mod on this I can swear with my z1.
I guess there is no much interest in intelligent backlight from devs.
But I would like to have it in future.
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
At least can they give me a clue what this warning is about...because the only things left to port from the Z2 are these two, plus the double tap 2 wake, but obviously the last wants a different kernel...lol

Is the glove mode available for non rooted z1 like the background defocus? Could you provide the link if ever?

To get the glove mode setting just decompile framework-res apk and then modify one of the bools for the glove mode. It's there. If you don't know how then just go into my threads and find multiuser mod. I put 2 easter eggs into it with one being glove mod support. Unfortunately it's not working and it never was. The other easter egg works great though, it's just not that easy to find or realise.
