[Q] google apps and other apps not working on cm7.2 rc5.7 why?

hi every one i have problem with cm7.2 rc 5.7...here google apps and other apps not working.can any one tell me why?
whatsapp,mx player,google reader,ttorrent and many apps not installing and getting fc.plz give me a suggetion

Mine works OK. Did you reset data before upgrade to new rom?

I'm using gapps-gb-20111013-signed.zip. You can google search for it because I don't keep the link now. Every apps works without problem (Market upgraded to Play Store, Google Music to Play Music,...)

I'm also using this rom & everything is working perfect except USB mass storage & laggy music play. But Today I replaced Music & Dsp manager app by Poweramp. Now music play seems to be good. I'm using Mx video player, market etc. Try flashing the rom & gapps again. & guys what about camera app of this rom. Pics r not good. Can I replace camera app???

i found that zip package and flashed with recovery mod and wipe data and cache but same thing.nothing changed.market and other gapps not working plz help me any one

ncan any one tell me how can i remove the infoBMKg app cfor my cm7.2 rc5.7?

uninstall with titanium backup or use rootexplorer, go to /system/app, mount R/W, delete BMKG apk..

gingerdx v30 GAPPS problem

Hi!, im having a problem with gingerdx v30, the first time when i installed this rom (alfs), the gapps installed OK!, i had YouTube apk, google play store, etc, then i Reinstalled again the rom and since that time i cant install my gapps anymore, even if the installation said sucefull, i cant see my play store and my YouTube apk, and if i download YouTube from google store when i try to open the apk, its just crashed all the time, tried reinstalled, rebooting my cell, and nothing happens , please help

U have to flash Gapps or it wont work.

i did from the CWM, i installed the ROM, then the libsensor and then GAPPS, but nothing happens, the weird thing is, if i go to applications in my pone i can see YouTube apk installed and google play store too as well, but i dont see the shortcut anywhere. so i cant open the apk

Full wipe, reinstall the rom, flash gapps...it will work now. I think you didnt full wipe before installing the rom

Had same issue. Now googled and found one gaaps for GB and installed the same. now its working like a charm. Try to search different gaaps from google.

I'm getting RH-01 error after a failed download in play store
It's also going to freeze mode by itself(plaay store)

[MOD] HDXPosed 1.3 : signature check, play store, downloads, wallpaper fix...

Hi !
Here is an useful xposed module for our Kindle Fire HDX.
"HDXPosed" is a module for the xposed framework. With this module enabled you won't need to modify any files (services.odex, framework-res.apk) for our main HDX tweaks.
It will actually do the following :
Disable signature check : allow any APK to be installed/replaced
DownloadManager fix : allow gmail, chrome and any other download to work
Content provider fix : allow play store downloads on stock DownloadManager
Wallpaper fix : use a wallpaper on alternates home screen
Prevent Amazon OTA updates
Installation :
Download and install the "Xposed Framework"
Download and install the "HDXPosed.apk" file below
Launch the "Xposed" application
Go to framework and click install
Go to modules and enable HDXPosed
Reboot

Entirely possible! I was playing back and forth between your 4.2.2 and stock and thinking back I may not have done a soft reboot after installing. I'll check.

Could we go about getting the Play Store running using this mod? I've installed and placed vending.apk and a few other requisite apps I know are needed to run the Play Store in system/app (Google Services Provider. Account and Sync Settings) and changed permissions, I was able to enter my account credentials but every time I go to use the market it will open very briefly then pop up with 'Google Play store has stopped.' Any ideas about what needs to be done?

You probably need to install alternate DownloadManager*.apk which can be found in my gapps thread in the general forum.

So I've installed the DownloadProvider and DownloadProviderUI APIs from your Thor gapps thread, and now the Play Store will open but spontaneously crash and downloads will act as though they start but the transfer never actually begins. Should I grab all the GApps from your Thor rom and place them in my system/app folder as a way to try shotgunning a soulution?

EDIT: after moving them again to system/app I now have the Play Store properly functioning. THANK YOU.:victory:

good now the wallpaper fixing is much more easy than the old ways.

When I installed.exposed framework it keeps saying that is not installed. Do I need ancestral for this? Or what am I doing wrong?

Two things I've noticed. Rebooting costs a bootloop which I can't get out of unless I go into recovery and wipe dalvik/cache. Thank god for that working at least. Second, is the module supposed to list out 1.0 or 1.1 as I tried to install the 1.1 over the 1.0 but it still says 1.0. Will try to disable it first and then update again...

It's just an xposed error. It is 1.1 even though says 1.0.

Try this, I have gapps and all Amazon services working side by side.
1. Start with stock rooted install on a rom slot.
2. Install Androidcowboy's gapp's per his tutorial with the exception of moving the vending apk. Just install vending apk. wherever you downloaded to(don't know if this matters).
3. Install xposed and reboot.
4. Install Cpasjuste's xposed module and reboot.

HELP :( ! Play Store just crashes after opening it (CM11)

So recently I installed Cyanogen Mod and I noticed that there was no Play Store. So I just went and downloaded it, and when Im launching it, it just closes immediately. Help please

So? You flashed CM without gApps? That's why you should always read EVERYTHING in a ROM OP before flashing.

As you said if there was no play store you didn't flash Google Apps after flashing CM 11.
Just downloading and installing play store doesn't work as you need the play services as well.
The easiest way would be to uninstall/delete play store and flash Google Apps (Gapps) suitable for CM 11 ( Android 4.4.2). I would suggest PA's 0- Day Gapps. Just search for them in the Android Development Apps section, flash them and it should work

WiFi is broken

Try flashing stock kernel. Using Rashr app from gplay store. See if that helps. I don't use Wi-Fi so I couldn't test that.

If you are not using this on an Ultra then just use Rashr app to flash your stock kernel.
