Stucking at ROM boot screen? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I rooted my phone (with app), flashed SuperNexus and few Cyanogen 10 rom, then I felt the Cyanogen 10 rom very lag, so then I decide to flash the stable rom from Cyanogen (Cyanogen 9.1), normally I'll flash thru recovery mode but this time I use the Cyanogen setting, download the rom and update thru it and now my phone stucked at the Cyanogen 9 boot mode, I don't have any usb cable with me right now, is there any way to fix my phone without computer?:crying:

Do you still have access to recovery? If yes, go to mounts and storage and format system, data and cache and install th cm rom again.

Do u get any errors while flashing GB ROMs??
If could enter Boot animation , you can try
1. Enter recovery mode and "Wipe / Factory Reset "
2. "Wipe cache"
3. Reboot
after this it should boot up normally.
boot into download mode flash rom using pc odin

I downgraded from imilka's rom to KK1 like this:
Enter download.
Start PC Odin (DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING).
Connect phone.
Click the PDA button and select .tar file.
Click Start.
Flash finishes.
Phone reboots.
Plays startup animation.
Takes a long time.
Plays startup animation again (bootloop).
Enter recovery (Vol-up+Home+Power).
Wipe data/factory reset.
Wipe cache partition.
Reboot.
That worked for me.
If it doesn't work, you could try to flash imilka's 4.0.3 rom and do the above procedure.
Best of luck!

Help! stuck on SAMSUNG screen.

Hello today i downloaded application called Anim Mod and then i installed it and then i opened the Anim Mod application and pressed Blur button then it downloaded something and then i had to boot my phone. wel i did boot but its now stuck in this samsung logo screen. my phone was rooted
i didnt know what to do so i just went to recovery mode and set it to factory settings and booted and its still stuck on this samsung logo...
what rom are you on ?
Im not sure :/ i have only rooted my galaxy note nothing else but if it helps its running 4.0.4 ICS
so your recovery: was that the CWM or stock recovery ? If it is recovery 3e.. stop doing a factory reset.
download http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?3cnf2ax9apsebef and place it on external SD. then boot into recovery and choose apply update from ext storage
choose the zip you downloaded and flash it.
once done. power off and boot into recovery again
then do a factory reset, wipe cache, advanced> wipe dalvik cache. then reboot
Ummm i did flash that thing and i wiped data :/ i did all what you told me and its still stuck
Ok then boot into download mode and flash a stock rom using pc odin. This will take you to factory form. Start from there.

If not done correctly. Do not perform any kind of wipe on stock ics kernels. Install philz kernel for wipes. Otherwise this method is considered pretty safe.

Does the phone boot to the galaxy mini 2 screen? If it boots then its not hard bricked
Put the phone in ODIN mode and reflash again the stock firmware. If it still does not boot and you cant get into recovery, flash again the firmware but this time check re partition. You will need the jena or jenad pit. NOTE: THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA!!!!!
only wipe data/factory reset & install stock again
No no always when you want to back to the stock ROM you must flash cwm and wipe data/factory and wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache and go to the mounts and storage and wipe everything then go downlaod mode and flash stock then trust me it will be ok

this is probably Samsung bootloader bug, I don't know what's causing that, but you must wipe data before you flash back to stock via Odin

[Q] How to Go Back to Stock JB???

Hi Experts,
I recently rooted my phone and installed SuperNexus ROM on it after CWM mode.
I want the Stock JB back on my phone and also unroot the phone. How do I do it ?? Any pointers or help ???
I found this link while browsing..please tell me is it safe to follow this procedure for JB stock rom too.

Yes, it's safe but I advice you to wipe everything before you go stock.
Flash one of philz's kernels for JB(latest I guess), reboot recovery and then wipe everything. My advice is to wipe cache, system, data, preload, dalvik and even emmc. You will ofcourse lose everything on internal card. After that do a full wipe/factory reset(the one which says install new rom).
Then reboot to download mode, press up and flash stock JB firmware via PC Odin just like in the link.
I followed the procedure in the link and its tuck after samsung logo..just keeps reloading again ad again samsung logo..
what do i do now??

Ok, great. Now you will wipe everything.
Go to mount and storage and:
-format cache
-format system
-format data
-format preload
-format emmc(it will delete your entire internal storage, I do it to really delete everytihng, you don't have to do it if you have important data but I advice it)
Then go back and go advanced:
-wipe dalvik
Then go to wipe/factory reset and select the second one(Install new ROM - this will again format everything).
Get back when you're done.
Yes done that ..what to do next

Now go to download mode. You can reboot to download somewhere in the menu. Maybe under advanced, or under Philz settings, just find reboot to download.
When it boots, press up and hook up the phone to your computer.
Run PC Odin and you should see a yellow coloured window that says that device is detected.
Now under PDA select your stock ROM md file. Check "Auto reboot" and "F. Reset time" and nothing else.
After all is setup, click Start and wait to complete.
I am doing that.. just a question was that the boot loop issue of stock ROM?
done with odin device is reloading.
Yes it started after taking a bit long time..
I am configuring it now..
I have few questions about it..
Is my device still rooted? If yes how to unroot it.
Is philz recovery still present?
everytime I flash a ROM I will have to wipe everything?

You are not rooted anymore and you have a stock recovery, everything is stock. You don't have to wipe everything when you flash a new
ROM, but it is very adviced, also it depends on the ROM you are flashing.
The bootloop probaly occured becouse you were coming from an AOSP based ROM and probably didn't wipe anything.

Yes, next time you should backup your important data and always wipe everything. That's the most reliable way.

N7000 stuck at boot screen

This phone was not rooted prior to being stuck at the boot screen. Actually, it wasn't event stuck at the boot screen. Instead, it turned on and off. I installed PhilZ recovery and was able to backup all files. Then I tried to flash different versions of CM without success. They all get stuck at the boot screen now. No more turning on and off. I also tried to clear cache, wipe dalvik something and reset to factory. Is there something else that can be done? What would be the most likely cause for the failure?

Alternatively, Odin a stock rom and look for a philz.zip with compatible baseband. You can enter stock recovery and then flash the philz.zip via update option. This is essentially replacing stock recovery with the custom version. I did this on a naturally occurring bootloop phone and it seems to work, this method also bypasses the yellow triangle warning on boot.
From there, if you want to use other custom roms just remember to wipe /data and /system before installing the kernel, followed by rom itself after a reboot to recovery.

I tried that. I went to samsung-updates.com and downloaded a version that I believe is compatible with my baseband version. Is there any way to check what baseband version my phone has? Then I flashed with odin and was stuck in a bootloop. I then flashed PhilZ recovery and the boot hangs at the samsung logo.
